When you arrive to the store they tell you, "oh I don't know, the manager sells it, I don't know what time the manager arrives, he sells a little bit at a time." If that's the case, why does this store advertise on the website "available to purchase in store" if they're going to discriminate and decide who they want to sell to? False leading people into a store is ILLEGAL when the product isn't even available to purchase. False ADVERTISEMENT & WASTE OF TIME. Store policy has no respect for people's time & fuel prices.

I actually come here because within the store, you'll find a whole array of kitchen items and gadgets tucked away in a little corner. Growing up, I remember it used to be stocked with THE cutest Christmas items and decorations. I can't remember when the transition to kitchen goods happened, but adult me thinks it's great, lol. There are small appliances, high-quality knife selections, wooden utensils and plating, pots, pans, decorations and basically all the essentials that you would need for your home kitchen! You can also find some things here that you wouldn't normally find in other stores like an Ooni pizza oven, Japanese knives, and pretty tea sets. The ladies behind the counter are always so nice and helpful. On my last visit I was looking for items for an event and while I didn't find everything I needed, I found some cute bamboo tongs that were priced very reasonably. Other than the hardware, definitely stop in here sometime if you're looking for some kitchen goods too or maybe insulated Yeti bottles which line the wall at the entrance.

While it's true that there's really no fully locally owned hardware stores that I know of anymore, I try to give some support to the ones that do their best to make things convenient for the local residents. I believe they were also around longer than either Home Depot and Lowe's. Their normal prices are a little higher than the big stores, their selection tends to be a little more limited, but the workers know the store and their products pretty well from my personal experience, and are usually able to help me find whatever I need in a very short time, or point me in the right direction (Home Depot or Lowe's) if they don't have what I'm looking for.

Larry, even though he was in lumber, took the time out and walked me to the right aisle to get a Husky lamp. He needed to get ladder and pull my item down which took him away from his duties. I normally go in, but today I had my elderly mother, so curbside was more practical, but nevertheless I had to go in to get my one thing. All he was attempting to do was a simple exchange within 1 hour but hadn't located his receipt. The manager recalled him being there and completed the transaction. If you live out in the country in Haiku, it's very convenient not to have to drive all the way into town. They have really good selection of garden supplies for organic gardening. The staff today were very friendly and helpful and loaded the stuff into my car for me. It's nothing glamorous, as the store is located in an old refurbished pineapple Cannery. So there's a lot of history here which makes it kind of interesting. People in Haiku really like to grow things, so tise store is very convenient and helpful for the community.
