We had to fire him from our kitchen remodel when he started delaying progress. He started delaying progress when I asked him to clean up after his work in our kitchen and when he installed sub-par moulding and added moulding we had not agreed to (we were still living in our house---so this was important) and he began screaming at me over the phone. He had an inability to control his emotions when confronted with any conversation that did not praise his work. He then did not bill his work in the manner we requested( we had to get reimbursement from our insurance after a fire--so this was also very important). His electrical sub contractor billed us almost 3 times the amount of the bid. When we fired him, he did not pay his sub contractor for all of the the painting job, and that sub begged us for the money. The painter also told us he had a bad temper. Because he refused to manage his emotions well (sarcastic and unresponsive texts, for example) or answer our questions reasonably after this, we hired a lawyer. We still had to pay the unreasonable electrictrician charges, and we piad him a lower portion of what he would have been paid if he had completed the job- and shafted his painter of full pay. We had to hire a new electrician and contractor to complete the job. Do not hire this man. Save yourself the heartache.

Attention to detail was crucial. The first thing that struck us about working with Chris was his responsiveness - he was quick to answer the phone or call back right away, and thoroughly answered our questions about different options, what that means for the overall project, how it affects the budget, etc. We could also tell that he was detail-oriented, not only due to his deep knowledge about construction code, but also because of his proposal and follow-up (something that I appreciate as a salesperson). We can't express how pleased we are with the final project. The house threw all of us more curve balls than we had anticipated, but Chris worked through each situation with professionalism and patience. We ended up with a house that aligns with all of our priorities: modern styling, liveable spaces, everything done to code, unique/memorable features special to our home. I have to say, the master bathroom turned out to be the most spectacular part of the house and we enjoy using it every single day. When they started pulling the bathroom apart for the remodel they found that all of my sub flooring throughout my small bathroom and leading into the kitchen on the other side of the wall was very wet and rotted, not to mention my load bearing wall had rot half way up it. Even though this was unexpected, communication was extremely well done and the team worked with me to do the work in the most cost effective way. They very skillfully removed the rot and rebuilt and replaced the wall from siding inwards. The entire job was completed in less than 2 weeks even with the set backs. Along the way they had good tips that I'd never thought of either (moving shower head up higher, repiping the shower while the wall was open to avoid redoing the work when I replied the house this year, buying a tub and vanity a little narrower in order to make the room feel bigger, etc). I never felt pressured to increase my budget or change plans but I did walk away with the comfort of knowing the job was done thoroughly and correctly. Very very happy with the work and professionalism of the team.

We had water damage from a downspout leak and ended up replacing everything and adding on projects because we were pleased. Brad does stuff other contractors do not. He stayed to the end of the project and was not at other worksites at the same time. He was able to get to my job quickly which helped us put my mother's house up on the market right away. He works steadily while he is there and takes pride in doing things neatly and correctly. Lastly, Brad sticks to his prices and estimates well. How many times have I gotten an estimate and the price triples? Not here. I was working on the yard while they fixed the house and miss the good that comes from being around honest work.
