Everyone is always so nice when I go there, and I love that you can see the cooks back there preparing your food. And definitely try one of their shakes, they are SO good! We opted for a to-go order today, but man, is this not one of the best burgers in town?! One tip: if you like your French fries well done like I do, I would recommend going with golden instead. We decided to check out the chicken sandwiches. They cost $3 more than hamburgers and they weren't good at all. The chicken was sliced thin and it was dry. We decided to eat in the parking lot as it's much safer than driving and eating. However, with the option of people watching that also was a deciding factor on why we should park and eat. There is a nice view of the city, skyline and interesting lights and various different people in the area. Would recommend the chicken sandwich combo, however, would probably recommend to request the mayonnaise on the side as it definitely was seeping out the bottom of the sandwich and the napkin was much needed. Disappointed they did not have french fries so we were not able to try them, but they substituted onion rings and the tater tots which both were good. Tater tots could've probably use some seasoning or salt however they were cooked perfect. The staff was polite and helpful. We can definitely see ourselves stopping here again.

Oklahoma seems to have a certain pride when it comes to burger joints that keep it simple. Tulsa…read morehas many chains, local restaurants and pop-ups that are familiar and filling. Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.

And bing in town on business, I had to go. I went the single meat w/ chz and. Risky FFs. Hanks did not disappoint. Good ol' fashioned juicy chz burger. One where the meat juices mix with the mayo and chz and oh so good. Very filling. And the FFs so crispy. Yo won't be disappointed. Tip: for the best burger deal, get Hank's 1/2 lb special. Way cheaper than buying single patty burger, FFs and drink separate. It's a dbl meat.

The menu is straight forward, straight out of the 60's style, and the place was poppin' at 2:30 in the afternoon. I ordered the Hank's special with cheese and pickles and onions as my only produce. I also ordered tots. I found out later that I could've got them "loaded", which entails tots being smothered in chili and cheese. Next time for sure. My wife had the single with fries. The fries came out piping hot and for simple fries, they were crisp and tasty. My wife's only complaint is the lettuce was wilty, and that is she doesn't like the onions grilled into the burger. That's not a knock on Hank's, just her preference. Me, I love grilled onions on and in my burger. The burger bun was soft and melded with the burger and cheese into a burger nirvana. I look forward to trying their chili cheese tots next time and their milkshakes looked very tasty. We'll be back for sure.

Also had the Deviled Egg Trifecta - served three ways - bacon, jalapeño and traditional. Also a hit. My main dish was a bowl of Tomato Bisque. Another "highly recommend." A generous serving of Crispy Brussels Sprouts rounded out my meal. I took home most of the Brussels and happily had them the next day. The server was very personable and attentive - in a good way. I usually order my food to go, but on one visit I arrived early and spent some time inside. The front area has a small waiting space with decor that gives a bit of history and personality to the place. They also offer beef for purchase, which is a nice touch if you are someone who enjoys cooking at home. I sat at the bar while I waited, and the service matched what I have come to expect from them. Friendly, attentive, and easygoing. The bartender even helped create a drink based on the flavor profile I described. It had a light citrus note with tequila and was very well balanced. As for the food, the onion burger is my favorite. I always add lettuce and tomato, and their burger sauce brings everything together. The flavors are rich without being overwhelming, and the quality of the beef stands out. The fries deserve their own mention. The regular fries are crispy and well done, and the sweet potato fries are just as good, which makes it hard to choose between the two. I usually get the garlic aioli on the side, and it takes everything up another level. The atmosphere is slightly elevated compared to a typical burger spot, especially in the bar area, but still relaxed enough to feel comfortable. It is a place I will keep coming back to whenever I want a burger that feels worth it.

It was pretty poppin also for a Wednesday. The smash burger came pretty quickly, the fries were bomb and reminded me of old school McDonald's fries when they cooked in lard/talllow. The smash burger was right on the money. Delicious pickles and a house sauce and thin patties with crisp edges , proper smash! I also got their salad and that was GREAT! Super fresh tasting and the sauce was so good! I would def recommend this place to people either needing a drink or a bomb smash burger !
