He also broke the bumper clips that ended up being unsalvageable according to Bobby (owner of Platinum). He got overspray everywhere and broke parts that shouldn't have needed to be replaced. So an absolute waste of $500 on top of making the car look worse than it did before he touched it. I have been looking at getting it fixed for some time now and I came across Platinum Collision Repair and saw the great reviews and gave it a shot. When I arrived I saw a bunch of cars in the shop that looked pretty much brand new so I knew I was in probably in good hands. I was instantly greeted by the owner and I showed him the damage. He gave me a free quote within 3 mins of me being there. I took some time to see if I wanted to wait a few months or do it now but after seeing person after person come to drop off their car within 5 mins of me trying to make a decision in the parking lot, I felt that was all the convincing I needed, so I got him to go ahead and do it. I dropped the car off 7-25 (Saturday afternoon) and it was done 7-29(Wednesday morning). He told me Thursday just to be safe and I get a call on Wednesday morning at 9am that it's ready. That's including them ordering a new grill, new bumper and painting. They are closed Sundays and I brought it later in the afternoon on Saturday so really it only took them 3ish days to order the parts, do all the necessary repairs to other parts not being replaced, paint the car and they even washed it for me! These guys at Platinum killed it and the owner Bobby was seriously so helpful and did his best to get me right after getting screwed over and save me as much money as possible. He even buffed the overspray off my headlight for me and it looks like a brand new headlight now. The car now looks like how it looked when it came off the delivery truck a year ago. They did the job for so cheap too! Can't recommend them enough... so much so that my mom is asking me what's the address and telling me she doesn't care that it's over an hour and a half away from her after seeing the results lol. First, even throw my vehicle was towed mid-afternoon, they were not willing to tow it to our shop in Smyrna because of traffic. I've used Marietta Wrecker and a few other companies 10+ times (for business) and they never had any pushback on towing the vehicle whenever and wherever we needed. Second, they told us they would tow the vehicle to our shop the next day, but it took them 4 days to tow it back. Furthermore, they did not communicate with us to let us know they were running behind. We reached out them multiple times and they kept kicking the can down the road. Not a big deal in the grand scheme, but I want to work with people who do what they say they will do. Finally, they charged us $6K for the tow which seemed exorbitant based on past experiences. Since I'm not in the industry, I sent 20+ pictures and videos of the wreck to a large local company we've used many times to price check. This other company said they would have charged about half and said many of the charges on the invoice were inflated. All in all, this company provided poor service, didn't keep their word, and charged twice market rates. I'd caution anybody who is considering using them (especially businesses).

A very cool local shop that was about 60% cheaper than those professional body shops. After meeting with Jerry and going over the estimate I felt very good that I was in the right place. Very personable and over 25 years experience. Jerry is a perfectionist and very meticulous about his work. No short cuts or easy fixes. He takes his time and does it right. Dropping off the vehicle at 10am, he said he hoped to get it back to me by 6pm. So I made arrangements to run some errands. After about 3 hours he called and said the car was finished!! What?! Lol. He showed me the damaged area and as hard as I looked I couldn't find anything! It was perfectly like new. AND the car was washed and detailed to boot! Just a fantastic experience all the way around! My only regret is it was resolved so quickly I forgot to take before and after photos. But I did get a few photos of some of the old classic cars he's restoring in his spare time. Since they sold out to Asbury automotive, they could care less about the customer on any service! Enough said! We researched multiple dealerships and were going to try each one for service, customer attention and actually see if they give a NO BS run around buying a car. We also talk with those customers at the service Dept to see how they are treated for service issues. Not one customer had anything bad to say about the service Dept at Cherokee Toyota and in fact some drove many miles to come here. We had no intention of buying a car the day we visited Cherokee Toyota and in fact our credit was frozen by choice always. After doing our due diligence we walked in and asked for Mike Cofield the one who had the highest recommendations on our research recently. Mike was fantastic. A NO BS guy who was honest, trustworthy, and showed us many different Highlander models we were interested in. After driving 3 different ones and having a special request for a simpler basic model we settled on a Grand Highlander Hybrid LE. It seats 8 was bigger than most we drove, extremely quiet and had the old fashion features with some modern ones we wanted. Mike was able to make the deal with little to no playing the back-and-forth games we hate with dealerships! Cherokee Toyota did NOT have the dealer add on fees so many other ones tack on and yes, we compared side by side. We completed the transaction quickly and a special shout out to the Finance Mgr who took care of any questions and issues we had ! This is what we do expect in a dealership. Not lip service but honest customer relationships and in fact Mike gave us his personal cell number if any issues do arise! He also introduced us to "his tech" in the service Dept.. so time will tell and YES we will update at a later date after we experience the service end of the dealership first hand.
