What can I say about Resource Building Materials located in Chino Hills! I fell in love with a…read morephoto on the internet of a stone fireplace. I had no name or anything to help me find where I can locate the stone. Somehow I managed to locate the distributor of the stone who connected me with Dave Cruz with Resource Building Materials. Dave was exceptional in helping me with the transaction. He went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly the stone I was looking for. His warm personality on the telephone made everything so easy. Being the girl that I am I know nothing about construction and Dave answered many of my questions. DAVE CRUZ! YOU ARE THE MAN! Never hesitate when thinking about the best stones along with the best service!!!! Thank you again Dave Cruz for everything!!!!!!!! I will always be utilizing you guys for future remodels in our home

10+ Years of Loyalty Dismissed Over Poor Customer Service and Lack of Integrity…read more I've been a consistent customer of Resource Building Materials for over 10 years, frequently purchasing materials for both residential and commercial projects. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was deeply disappointing and has made me reconsider ever doing business with them again. On June 4, 2025, I purchased epoxy/resin products totaling $1,821.00 for a paver protection project at my home. These products turned out to be incorrect for the job, a mistake made by the contractor I hired. Wanting to resolve the issue properly, I attempted to return the unused and sealed materials on July 1, 2025--only 27 days after purchase, well within a commonly accepted 30-day return window. I spoke with Alexis, and later her manager Diego, who both demonstrated a stunning lack of professionalism. Initially, I was told flat-out that no refunds are allowed, which was surprising considering my long-standing relationship with the company. I calmly asked them to review the disclosures printed on the bottom of the receipt, which clearly state that returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee--not a total denial of return. Once I presented the facts, they pivoted and claimed the return was being denied because the purchase was made "over 30 days ago"--again, not true. I challenged them using the original purchase date and receipt, proving that only 27 days had passed. At that point, their excuse changed again: Diego questioned how they could know if the product hadn't been left outside in the sun. I found this completely unacceptable and insulting. For the record, the product has been sitting untouched in my garage, easily visible, stacked in sealed 5-gallon aluminum buckets. I immediately recognized them as unused materials and attempted to return them before any legitimate window would expire. This felt like an intentional effort to avoid issuing a refund or store credit--completely dismissing my long history of business with them. Rather than owning up to a poorly handled situation, they chose to pass blame, make false assumptions, and contradict their own return policy. There was no accountability, no willingness to resolve the issue fairly, and no appreciation for a customer who's spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years. And for the record, I do not like to leave bad reviews whatsoever. In fact, you can check my Yelp account--I don't leave bad reviews at all. It takes a lot to push me to this point, and for me to take the time to write this, you have to piss me off at least 10 times more than normal. That's how bad it was dealing with Diego and Alexis at Resource Building Materials. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. This is not how you treat a loyal client. If this is the new standard of customer service at Resource Building Materials, I can no longer recommend them--and will be taking my business elsewhere moving forward.

A Tankless Install Experience. Ferguson Saves the DAY!…read more I order most jobs online because it seems cheaper and easier. An online order from another company the Tankless WH. didn't arrive today as scheduled and an email indicated it wouldn't arrive until after X-mas. The issue is we took out the old water heater and installed the vent system for the new one and setup the plumbing etc for it yesterday. So no HOT water for the holidays or find the exact fit local. Called EVERYONE! THANK GOD for Ferguson in Pomona. They cut me the right price on a better model that Fit the venting and the spot. Called at 8:00 A.M. and paid on phone with Credit Card after maybe 5 minutes of lookup and selection of the exact product. 3 minutes later an email with my will call order pickup information arrived. Got to the location took about 3 minutes to actually find the Plumbing counter. Hint!! it's through the delivery yard area and round back of the giant building. There is a special desk for order pickup. My item was sitting right there ready to go. Signed and pickup invoice threw it in the Truck and got to the job earlier than had I waited for the Online order to come UPS... Except it got cancelled. But whatever I Digress. THANK YOU FERGUSON!! Installed and Cranking out 120 Degree Water All day long!!! BTW it was $150 cheaper out the door than the online product of a similar part number from a Big Box Store.

I was able to take a couple of photos. Ferguson, you are putting everyone at risk for COVID19 by not having your staff adhering to #wearamasksavelives. BEWARE CUSTOMERS!!!!!
