Be weary using them for large jobs that include plumbing. I don't take leaving negative reviews lightly, but my husband & I wanted to share our personal experience with this business. Value for what we paid would have been fantastic if the job had been done right.
We hired Duke & Connie for our 2nd story master bathroom remodel. Initially they answered our questions & made it feel like they were the right pros for the job. Once the job started, it went downhill. There were several miscommunications along the way that resulted in things being done wrong & having to be redone. We had them lay hexagonal shaped ceramic tile flooring throughout the master bathroom (which is large) & the connected master closet. The flooring tile job is bad...there is no other way to say it. It's not straight or level & the grout work is missing in spots & has several holes. We have one particular spot where our subfloor is sloped so we knew the tile might have issues there, but sadly the flooring has issues throughout the entire bathroom & master closet. When we voiced this concern it was brushed off as it would be fixed on the last day of the project. It was not & then we were given the excuse that the type of tile, that was picked after several design discussions with them, was the problem, not the lack of skill of their team. They didn't use licensed plumbers until I insisted on it after several plumbing issues arose. Both brand new vanities had leaks after install. The existing bathtub, which just had to be moved to put down the flooring, wouldn't drain after they reinstalled it. They came back to fix & then it drained....onto the lower level below our master bath causing drywall damage. I ended up hiring another plumber to come fix these issues because after multiple times allowing them to fix & still having issues, I no longer trusted them to do it right. These are just the major issues, I won't even list all the minor issues we had or found since. In all fairness, I am happy with the paint & drywall work done, & the shower retile looks amazing so very happy with my new shower. Duke did try to make it right, but as I said, after several times allowing them to fix & still encountering issues, I opted to hire plumbers I trusted instead. The more time I spend in my remodeled bathroom, the more I find seems to have been a short cut with the work done.
If you're using them for a simpler job, painting or drywall then they do great work. For anything plumbing related I would bring in licensed plumbers to avoid similar issues to what we experienced. read more
