They're open Monday thru Friday 10am-1pm with an added evening opening on Wednesdays only from 5-7pm making it easier for folks who can't visit during the day. The selection here is fantastic and has everything from home décor, clothing, shoes, children's toys, books to unique vintage finds. One of my favorite things, whether it's intentional or not, is how each section is almost completely color coded or themed. For instance, there's a cute summer display with crab and lobster-themed plates with coastal decorative pieces and several other seasonal sections throughout this store. There's a small room towards the back filled with delicate items like fine china, embroidered cotton napkins and a Christmas corner flowing with cute vintage mercury glass ornaments. There's also another room in the 'back-back' for higher-end+designer pieces that aren't mixed with the front part of the store. I totally loved the adorable French boutique-style awning with those classic black & white stripes- I mean...it just adds an upscale touch to the space. Prices are excellent. I picked up three black and white sketch postcards and three picture frames for just $1-$2 each. I even painted the frames red when I got home and they turned out great! Everyone is friendly and welcoming making my time shopping here even better. Totally worth a visit.

I've never been embarrassed to write about my love for thrift shopping. I've purchased wooden…read morechairs, chest of drawers, rustic end tables, funky lamp bases, metal home accessories, etc with no end in sight. And all it takes is a bucket of warm soapy water, a good cotton small towel to clean these hard surfaces. Now, where I seriously and I mean- seriously draw the line are sofas, mattresses, cushions, pillows, etc. and that to me, is just gross. No offense to anyone. Hubs and I noticed a gently-used $2300+ Pottery Barn dining table at this Kingston, NY ReStore for a flat $700. The poundage on this 8' monstrosity of a dinner table had me sold. Except, it was 2' too big for my dining room. But the price was killer. This ReStore is spacious with furniture gathered into groups. For instance, chest of drawers are grouped together, coffee tables in another group, lamps together, etc. There's leven a back room filled construction items like kitchen/bathroom tiles, hammers, etc ridiculously inexpensive. This is one of the best choices if you are looking for second-hand furniture.

Sadly, these folks don't seem to get animals. I am truly worried that these people are not qualified to assess individual animals' needs and will fail to place their animals in appropriate homes. They have general (and, frankly, arbitrary) guidelines for adopting out pets and the people I spoke to couldn't speak to any individual pet's traits or needs. It was a onerous, depressing and frustrating process just to locate pets on their site and after you spend a long, long time filling out repetitive forms, you have to go over and confirm all the answers on the phone with someone who doesn't have specific knowledge of the animal involved. Truly head spinning. Also, the service there is terrible, they will NOT return calls, you always have to call back and hope to get someone. I truly worry about where the animals in their care end up.

All were fresh, delicious, and made with a sense of love you can only achieve from a handmade good. We had several varieties of coffee and tea and all were on point. The space hosts different events and apparently we missed a noise show the night prior. Sliding scale menu, so prices are reasonable at the suggested rates. They also have a community fridge & pantry and we watched as local donors came by to donate fresh goods. Overall, I can't praise this place enough for creating a communal safe space. If you're in the Kingston area, this is a must see stop.

I've always been impressed with the knowledge the instructors share with their students. Antiquarian processes such as wet plate collodion, lessons on becoming a contemporary commercial photographer, classes on Adobe Photoshop, regular meetings on the artistic process and feedback on your work, they've got you covered. CPW has the equipment and expertise to print your digital photos, too. A black and white film darkroom is also in the plans. Their new home is huge, enough to display exhibitions as well as host workshops. Their staff is also remarkably competent and welcoming.
