Located in what used to be a fully operating airport, Stormville Airport Antiques is L.I.T.E.R.A.L.L.Y. popping at the seams with hundreds of vendors selling vintage items from glass to wood furniture to metal knick-knacks, old-school vinyl- the list is endless. Come prepared with your sneaks and get ready to spend a few hours (or the entire day) walking on the lawn. You'll meet folks who could care less- but deep down would want you to buy their stuff and you'll also meet those charismatic vendors who'd want to tell you the item's life history. Stuff here is cheap. Not cheap in quality- cheap in price that is. Hubs and I forgot to bring our own ca$h so ended up paying the $4 ATM fee per the $200 limit. Unlike other outdoor flea markets, parking here will cost you nothing. So...enjoy and shop til you can't shop anymore.

There is some original Corning ware with the cornflower pattern, Old vinyl records, and table games, See photos. For some of us it brings back a sense nostalgia.

On Route 28 in Arkville, NY, hubs and I have found great Magic antique+vintage pieces at a serious bargain. These folks have been here as long as I've been coming up to the Catskills when the entire field was FILLED elbow-deep with vendors. They've dwindled over the years and you can count the stalls with your hand now. Regardless, spend a few solid hours just browsing through what they have because you'll find a piece or two that'll catch your eye with the limited supply. One particular vendor name Lou- who we've purchased from- used to have loads of vintage pieces- and somehow sold commercial cleaning supplies (brand new) for cheap. Bizarre mix for an outdoor flea market- but it has worked. Another vendor who we met on a Sunday name Federika(sp?) sold me a $30 heavy-a-f*ck mirror that I couldn't pass up. I also couldn't haggle with that. For the poundage on it, I swore it was at least $75 or more. Oh, and bring cash- because these folks most likely, not have a Square.

They have food trucks and tables in the front to eat. They offer wagons to wheel items throughout the field (note: they will need to be returned prior to the parking lot). I went Sunday morning and have to say that parking was easier than i anticipated based on the volume and no one directing the lot. Positives were the layout pretty much made sense so you could go up and down each aisle in order. Also i like how the food was arranged around the perimeter. Tons of port a lets also! Reasonable $4 entry fee. This particular Sunday just didn't seem to have an interesting selection. But i guess thats what keeps people coming back!'

I am no stranger to flea markets, but what I loved about this one was the friendliness of the vendors. All were welcoming and willing to strike up conversation, especially about music. A great deal of finds hide here, including vinyl, China, jewelry, gemstones, print media, art, antiques, clothing, vintage, handbags, etc. There is a little something for everyone. Woodstock is a diverse and eclectic town but it's also famous for its Mower's Flea Market every Saturday and Sunday in a big grassy area. Hubs and I have always made it a point every time we come to Woodstock in the last 20 years, to stop here first (out of nostalgia) before making the drive down home. Quite honestly, we've scored several hand-made pieces and a vintage Dashiki hubs had found for me. Mower's is made up of several vendors all selling something different. Over the years though, the amount of vendors have dropped. And forget about COVID last year- because it didn't take place and was weird looking at vendor-less lot when we came to the area for a day trip in the Fall of '20. But alas, Mower's is back in business and we were delighted to see more vendors (almost) recently like we used to 20 years ago. You'll find antiques, memorabilia, some kitsch- the same way you'll find locally made products. The way I see it, it's a shopping haven for me. Just make sure you get here before they close for the season in November.

This flea market has furniture, books, tons and tons of dishes, cups, plates, toys, games, tools, sporting equipment etc When we finally re-do our kitchen we plan on shopping there and have all our kitchenware be antiques. I felt most items were reasonably priced. We left with a pair of beautiful candlesticks for $12.
