Unfortunately, the customer service was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Weeks in advance, I emailed management to book a spot for our large group. I was explicitly told via email that they don't take appointments and that it was first-come, first-served. Yet, when we arrived in the morning, the front desk staff was highly reluctant to let us in. They claimed a birthday party was starting around noon and told us we could only stay for 1.5 hours--even though I was paying full price for All-Day passes. When the staff member claimed this rule was clearly stated on their website, I asked her to show me. She couldn't find it. Instead, she dug up an outdated physical document that mentioned a 90-minute limit, but it listed a $25 price point rather than the current $30 rate posted online. It was obvious she was using old, irrelevant policy documents just to justify kicking us out early. Great facility, but the staff's dishonesty and poor attitude ruined what should have been a seamless celebration.

We were traveling in Manteca for a family event a few weekends ago, and I started looking around…read morefor somewhere to get a great workout - I didn't have to search hard at all - Legacy came up quickly and they offered one-time drop in class credits, so I got one for myself and my husband. This is a beautiful facility that is clean, has super nice equipment, and best of all - everyone was extremely welcoming and kind to us. The staff at the front desk made us feel very welcomed and we were given a tour as well when we got there. We started with using the open gym and had a great upper body workout. They have everything you need for a great pump! Full dumbbells, with benches and lots of machines as well for upper and lower body. They also have every time of workout class! Boxing, Reformer Pilates, HIIT, Cycle, etc. We then took a cycle class and Michele subbed for the class - she kicked our butts - music was so fun with a diverse mix of hip-hop, pop, and EDM. The choreo was challenging, and the leaderboard sprints were also fun to help push us more! If this gym were in SoCal, I'd look at becoming a member right away based on this experience. Thank you to Legacy for giving us an amazing "home away from home" gym experience. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely come back.

Multiple members have noticed and openly discussed cockroaches in both the gym area and bathroom stalls, as well as black widows in the lifting room. This isn't an isolated incident--it's something that has been consistently brought up among members. What's most frustrating is the lack of acknowledgment or visible action taken to address it. For a facility of this quality, basic sanitation and safety should be a top priority. Unfortunately, due to these concerns not being resolved, I ultimately had to cancel my membership. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, because this gym has a lot of potential and I would genuinely love to return if improvements are made

Since the workouts at The Camp are with a group of people, it makes us feel accountable and motivated to go each day. Being a part of The Camp, you are led each day by trainers/coaches that teach you the proper movements, breaks down the areas that are being targeted and encourages you, regardless of your ability. Each day you work a different part of your body, including legs, arms, cardo and full body. Walking into the space each day can be intimidating when you see all of the equipment spread across the floors, but you are shown how to do each exercise before jumping into the workout. Problem is that as you get stronger, the coaches get sneaky and drop heavier weights in front of you. :o) Not only the workouts, but they offer challenges. My husband and I are on our second challenge to loose the weight that we have gained over the years. They give you a diet plan, offer supplements and of course the workouts. You are weighed every Monday and have to "Check In" through social media to help keep you accountable. As long as you follow the program it truly does work. My yo-yo dieting has stopped and I make better choices now. Both of us feel great and I still can't get over the transformation that my body has made in just the 5 months that we have been members. I was always active in sports and liked to do physical things, but I have never had muscles like I do now. Our first day there, we were welcomed by so many nice people and we have a great group that we now workout with every morning, 6 days a week. They help to make the workout fun and we all encourage each other. I really do not feel like I would have met this many people at a gym or have so many people encouraging me. We have made some great friendships through this place. I no longer look at this as getting up early and exercising, I see this now as a lifestyle and I love our new lifestyle thanks to all of the Staff at The Camp Transformation Center in Modesto.

I traveled 400 miles to Tracy from Corona & I was desperate looking for a new gym that can accommodate me. & I was so excited coming here even though it was a 35 min drive. The staff wasn't even paying attn to what I said over the phone when I called and she had me repeat myself. Even after explaining that I used to work for the camp. I wasn't paying for it but my previous rate was $107 she immediately said yeah we can only honor it if you're a teacher, veteran, etc. I said no I used to have that rate without it. I've been a part of the camp for a while & even then she didn't care. She even started to argue with me that it was a hard no, they called the camp that I was at to go over my agreement I emailed them and she said I was paying $107 because I worked there I said. You have it all wrong because I wasn't paying anything when I worked there. At this point I said to myself I definitely don't want to come back to this place. Fast fwd I found another The camp on the opposite side of town that honored my rate and even welcomed me to town. The customer service here overall was crap.
