I went, not with the intention of setting my max bench press, but working on a long term frame work to help extend my career and gain some mobility. I had not heard of functional patterns, but I am sold. I found it to be helpful in helping with usable flexibility and posture. I noticed improvement in some areas that would get sore through a work day not being as problematic. Secondarily I was working to lose weight and was able to accomplish that as well. The pool is great but you can only use when they are not reserving it for private use and lessons. The pickleball courts are great but you can only use them when they are renting them out for lessons, leagues and other money making events. I always feel like a sheep waiting to get fleeced by the employees trying to make quota on revenues. Buy this supplement, take this class, buy this lesson, try then drink, smh. They create an adversarial relationship with their so called "guest" by using them and not appreciating them. You are not a valued customer, you are "Mark" that has been lured in with fast talk so they can get access to your wallet. Once they get your membership, they could care less about your experience and use of facilities, now they want money to buy the use. It's super easy to get in and out of the parking lot which has plenty of parking. This gym has more of a luxe ambiance with it being a newer build and lighter colors. The women's dressing room has an ample amount of lockers. There are 5 toilet stalls which don't seem like enough but I never had an issue. There's another 2 stall restroom upstairs on the gym floor. In the women's locker room, for women only, is the spa experience with a hot whirlpool, cold plunge, sauna, and steam room. This is the most important one for me because I absolutely hate the co-Ed amenities in the other locations, such as Plano, Allen, ands Flower Mound. I could literally spend an hour or more here just relaxing. The 25 minute drive makes it totally worth it. The sinks and counters in the women's locker room are two huge areas with plenty of space for ladies to wash hands or beautify themselves in the mirror. Lifetime provides razors, makeup remover, Q-tips, & other items. Further down, there is a large room with two rows of showers. Maybe about 20? In the showers, they have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and shaving cream. The water pressure is perfect and you can make it as warm or cold as you like. Large towels are provided and so are small ones for anything else like the gym floor. The Life Café is huge! There is plenty of seating and lots of options for food and snacks. Behind the front desk is the stairs and elevator to go upstairs. As you go up the stairs, you can immediately see how this is a Luxe gym with the beautiful chandelier above the stairs. Once at the top is the GTX room with a divider. This room is kept a little dark, which I prefer to the brightly lit gym floor. Opposite of that room is the gym floor with all the machines and equipment in an open floor concept. The massage chairs and recovery station is to the far right and up into another room. The Pickleball courts are closed in and always full. The pilates and barre room are off to one side and then there is a cycle studio and another studio on the other end. I love that the alpha section has mirrors in front of the racks with the barbell. I still haven't seen the outdoor pool, I know it's on the roof or something. I still need to check it out. I've seen the indoor one, which is your standard lap pool. This gym gets super busy during rush hour so plan accordingly.

I mentioned in my first review in July I felt the club was slipping. No question I have, and deserve to have, the highest expectations for this place but that comes from them. They promise us an "athletic country club" experience and charge for it - so I expect them to deliver. Over the last year, this club has been dealing with a serious member trend related to its big ticket item - the men's rejuvenation suite in the locker room, consisting of a hot tub, cold plunge, dry sauna, and wet sauna. Quite often, it's a wreck - as are other sections of the locker room. Wet towels and trash crumpled on the floor and in seating areas and in corners around this section of the club. There's sludge on sections of the floor at night after the big rush. Many of the men members of this club are acting like slobs - and Life Time isn't keeping up. I feel like the maintenance crew tries hard, but I've also seen them blow past the suite without even sticking their head in for a status check - as if they have other priorities than one of their biggest competitive advantages when it comes to amenities. I really feel like Life Time without this is mostly a four- or five-star facility - but this issue knocks it down several pegs. It's exhausting.

(I am always going to give 4 stars to the YMCA due to the locker room because this always seems to be a secondary thing for the Y. It is ok - but reminds you of your HS). Rest of facility - The costs for access to equipment and classes is competitive. I never have to wait for the cardio machines and enjoy that this location has an indoor track.
