It is really dirty, there is mold in the shower, the sheets were dirty. Thank God I had sheets in car and I put them on and there were roaches.

bedbugs. refused to do anything to compensate me. had to leave at 1:30 am due to bites and couldn't sleep. I see on these reviews other bedbug photos so I see I'm not the only one.

quiet, clean, and comfy a short or long stay highly recommend excellent customer service

I would give this place no stars if I could. The absolute most disgusting place I've ever been in. I booked a room through booking.com. The hotel charged me before I arrived and charged me a second time when I got there. I immediately had an awful feeling. Homeless people walking around and a guy that definitely looked like a drug dealer. We went into the room and it looked like it had never been cleaned and blood splattered different places. We found another place and left. Don't do it!

Room service each day is dependant on if you use the nicest voice you have showing no frustration per Dawn. She brags about not needing maintenance. They literally walked to my door and walked away when requested new towels and sheets. They make the beds with the blanket underneath the top sheet.

Old fashioned small carport style hotel. The rooms are small, neat and well decorated. The staff is pleasant and helpful and within walking distance are donuts in one direction and middle Eastern food in the other. It's a very good value for your money. Minimal amenities but perfectly right just for the night.

Dawn the manager is super sweet and nice along with her tiny doggy Ady. The hotel is fancy. Good parking and they have AC!

Hotel Royal exceeded our expectations…read more We stayed here for one night before our cruise. The service was excellent. Our room was super cute! Very comfy bed, great AC! Bathroom a little small but easy to work with. They had a fridge and coffee maker. In the lobby they have a small room in the back behind the receptionist that has tea, coffee, utensils and other things you may need on your trip! Plus it's a cute area to sit in the morning or while waiting for your Uber. They have plenty of water in the lobby. Bottled and ice water from a large glass dispenser. There are bikes available for use. It's a pretty great location - we were able to walk to really incredible restaurants, and it was super close to our cruise port!!! We highly recommend this place and would book it again on our next Long Beach stay!

The property itself is located in the heart and soul of downtown Long Beach. Our room was cute, cozy, and clean with beautiful hardwood floors. We had a comfy king sized bed and also a sitting area with a couch. Just to name a few of the amenities there was a microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker with Starbucks coffee. The bathroom had a shower and it also provided full sized bath and body essentials. They do not have an elevator but we managed to bring our stuff up a flight of stairs with no issues. The guy who was working in the lobby did offer to help us but we declined. Overall we had an amazing experience here and can't wait to return.

Food is good for what it is and I love to sponsor the ship and business when I can, but unclear and inconsistent timing makes it hard and disappointing otherwise.

The first thing to remember about The Queen Mary is that she is a historic ship, now a hotel. If…read moreyou are interested in an immersive experience, taking yourself back in history, you will enjoy the historic hotel. The restaurants, bars and shops offer unique experiences that are quintessential to the Queen Mary and improvements continue to be made. Is everything perfect? No but that is the beauty of the unique Queen Mary Hotel. Time should be taken to take in all the available displays, self guided tour, films about her history as well as a meal at The Chelsea, or Promenade Cafe, cocktails at the Observation Bar. The daily breakfast buffet has all the breakfast offerings and an amazing view of downtown Long Beach across the water. A La Carte breakfast is also available. Now that the F&M Bank Amphitheatre in Long Beach is open, this is the perfect place to stay and then walk to the Amphitheatre for your concert. The location is "across the street" - but it feel so close that it seems like it's in the parking lot of the Queen Mary. Because the Queen Mary is a historic ship, the walls are thin, the hotel doesn't have all the traditional bells and whistles that are common in newer hotels but for me, that is part of the experience. There isn't central air or heat but you can request a fan or more blankets, if the room is too loud they do offer ear plugs. What the hotel does have is beautiful historic woodwork, Art Deco style in the staterooms, 1930s artwork, photos of the celebrities who have stayed on the Queen Mary, working portholes. It's a time capsule that you can enter. Explore their website, review the tours that are available and remember that you can do self guided exploration as well. Wander the deck and it feels like you're traveling back in history.
