Great value , plus close to everything. Rooms need more elbow grease put into cleaning the walls and doors but the towels are nice and thick. Beds are comfortable. Pets are not allowed but service animals are. Staff is nice and always available and happy to help. All in all I would stay here again with my service dog. read more

I would give this place no stars if I could.The absolute most disgusting place I've ever been in. I booked a room through booking.com. The hotel charged me before I arrived and charged me a second time when I got there. I immediately had an awful feeling. Homeless people walking around and a guy that definitely looked like a drug dealer. We went into the room and it looked like it had never been cleaned and blood splattered different places. If I could give this motel 10 stars I would. The rooms are big, clean, beds are comfortable. We are in a situation where we have to stay in a motel when we can afford it and we won't stay anyplace else. The manager, the office staff the housekeepers they all make you feel so welcome. Room service each day is dependant on if you use the nicest voice you have showing no frustration per Dawn. She brags about not needing maintenance. They literally walked to my door and walked away when requested new towels and sheets. They make the beds with the blanket underneath the top sheet. read more

Old fashioned small carport style hotel. The rooms are small, neat and well decorated. The staff is pleasant and helpful and within walking distance are donuts in one direction and middle Eastern food in the other. It's a very good value for your money. Minimal amenities but perfectly right just for the night. read more

Dawn was so sweet. Unfortunately there was some issues at the front desk. I payed for the room online but I was charged 3 times and I was attending a 2 day festival at the time of my stay. Leaving me with little to no $$ during my stay. The room I had was remodeled, pretty nice. BUT my biggest complaint is the roaches!! I found 2 roaches in the bathroom and also spiders near the bed. Pretty scary when you're trying to sleep and shower. I will not be staying here again. read more

5 stars for dawn the manager. 2 for the hotel. Owners need to know what guests want not what they want. For instance the way the bed is made. You don't put a bottom sheet then a blanket and top sheet on top. We had to ask for a sheet to use between us and the blanket. The door frames ,doors and head boards need a good cleaning . We didnt want to touch any of that. We own beach vacation rentals. These were not like the pictures. They have so much potential. read more

wow so the lady at the front desk said that the price of a room for me and my boyfriend for two nights would be $100/night with cash or $114/night with card. we said that online it says $97 with tax. she said no it's $99 with tax. we showed her on our phone, she turned to her iPad, did something, and then suddenly the rooms were no longer available online. once we left the office, the rooms were available online again. um?? way to pull some strings to try to make us pay more than we needed to. read more

Very friendly woman and adorable pup working check in! Had to change out check in time due to flight delay, all I did was call and she waited up for us! She was very helpful as well. Other guests were so friendly and kind as well. The room was immaculate! Shower pressure was so nice. Sheets were so clean and fresh as well. This hotel was absolutely disgusting. When my 3 friends and I got there.. A man came to the outside window and just looked at me as if I was crazy. I said I was here to check in.. And he seemed like he had no clue what I was talking about. He shuffled through some papers and didn't care to talk. Have me the room key (which btw, was an old school room key with hole punches, very old school) and we headed to the room which was right on the busy road. We got into the room and set our stuff down. A friend of mine went into the bathroom.. Came out yelling because there was a SPIDER and web in the shower. Another friend opened the mini fridge.. There were USED OPEN SODA CANS still in there. I turned on the tv.. That didn't work either. There were blood and makeup stains on all of the pillows. This was completely unacceptable. I went up to the window to speak to the man. I told to him politely about the things that we found.. He just said "give me my key back and leave." I asked if I could get my refund first and he said "that's your problem to take on with whatever company you booked it through". So I walked away and called hotels.com to see what they can do for me. The hotel manager came walking after us and said I needed to talk on the phone outside of the room. I told him I already purchased the room and wasn't leaving without my money back. He started getting angry and telling us to get out. Hotels.com was very accepting of our complaint and gave me my money back immediately. The hotel manager just say there and stared at us as if we was going to touch one of us or get violent. I RECCOMMEND NO ONE GO TO THIS HOTEL EVER. COMPLETELY DISGUSTING AND UNACCEPTABLE. read more

This place is OK The lady at the front office is very nice. Found a long, thick black hair on my pillow case but I brought my own pillow and just used that. Saw a pretty big spider on the wall as I was about to go to sleep so I didn't sleep to great but that's just me not liking spiders.Parking sucks, the toilet paper sucks. Also, when we first got our room there was a maid in there eating. So if I HAD to I would stay there again I would but definitely my last resort. read more

Great place to stay in Long Beach if you want to avoid the over priced chains. I've been in the area for work awhile and stayed at 3 or 4 places with either asshole owners or managers, or straight up dumps. Clean and maintained rooms, good cable TV, good functioning ac/heater (was easily & immediately able to get to the perfect comfortable room temp) 7-Eleven, Am/PM Arco, Target and other stores and eateries right up the street, polite family owned staff with cute little dog. The parking lot and facility is a little smaller but itakes for more personal service. You can faintly hear some bigger vehicles but not too late at night or early in the morning so it isn't a bother when resting. read more

I have never been to a more disgusting hotel in my life. As soon as we arrived to check in, the guy at the front desk was very rude. Once we finally get to our room we notice a lot of things that were not quite right. The pillows were dirty, as was the floor, we opened the refrigerator only to find 2 open soda cans with lipstick on the mouth area, the shower had a spider in it and the tv didn't work. Needless to say, we decided we weren't staying there. When we asked for a refund, the manager told us that we had to "get out of his room" while we called for our refund (we booked through hotels.com - it was an $80 room and actually looked decent on there - but don't be fooled). He was very rude and I made sure to let him know that he needed to fix this dump along with his attitude :) Anyways, I do not, by any means, recommend EVER staying here. read more

Okay the hotel is cheap for california. I stay here when work is done on the house. The front desk lady is nice and very attentive to your needs. The parking is a little tight, I do have fuul size cars though. The rooms are always clean and and they have a nice modern look. I have never seen bugs or stains in the room. If you see crazy people here well your in la. I use to stay at the courtyard on 1st street at 219 a night to only get guess what crazy stuck up people you cant escape that. I have never herd loud music or fighting. This is my go to spot to lay back and relax in long beach, and you wont get bent over for the price. I recommend this place if you want a clean fair priced establishment to stay in. Peace out. read more

The pictures on the booking are so farrrr different than what you actually see when you get there. First it is miles upon miles away from the city center where we were going. We were told about 5 minutes which was 40 minutes in traffic. We pulled up and drove to the parking which is gravel parking. Not gravel but torn up dirt road gravel. I was met with a ball coming over the fence in which dented my car. When I told the kids there to stop throwing stuff over the fence. They hurled another that hit the truck next to me. The lady told me I wouldnt have another problem and bam the kids were at it again. She walked away to allow us to talk but could not care less of what just happened. With not feeling safe to leave car there Asked her if there was another place to park. She said we had to fill up that parking before she allowed to move to other parking lot. Although I understand no cancellation policy we didn't stay there nor would I suggest anyone else to stay there either. I feel that the ads to the hotel were misleading and that we shouldn't have been charged full price for not staying. read more

We stayed here this past Memorial Day weekend and it was great. Parking: can be a little tight as there are only 6 small spaces in the back and a few in between the rooms, but the street in front of the hotel supplies parking if the spaces end up all taken (busy weekend this weekend and we always found a spot) Location: Lovely! Just down a bit from the 405 and you can take that anywhere. It's also walking distance from a 7-11 and a Papa Johns! Service: Front desk lady Dawn was amazing. She was super nice, caring, and attentive. She lives on site so she's always there to kick butt and take names if needed. With that being said, I felt 100% safe this entire weekend there. No lingering or sketchy people at all. Quality/price: Amazing! We paid just shy of $200 (that's including fees/taxes) last minute for 2 nights on a holiday weekend. Everywhere else wanted $300 or more. The rooms are updated modern, fully stocked with amenities like Advil pm, motion sickness pills, breathe right strips, and garnier fructis shampoo/conditioner. All travel sized but still! We saw 0 bugs while there, the bed was comfy, the TV was a nice flat screen on the wall with plenty of channels, and when we needed more towels Dawn supplied them right away. It's sad to think that once word gets out that this hotel is awesome, the price may go up. So I'm almost regretting reviewing this so highly ha ha. This was the WORST hotel I ever stayed at. When we first arrived , just like the rest of these reviews, he was very rude. We asked a simple question and the guy said no and walked off. Also, just like the rest of the reviews it was dead spiders in the shower and as well in the bed along with a dirty mattress that had hair and spots of blood all over it. The pillow cases had spots of blood on it as well. They obviously don't clean the pillow cases or mattress , they just put new sheets and pillow cases over the pillow that's not even clean. They don't clean their linen and that's disgusting . The highlight of this horrible stay, the room was only equipped with only one half used toilet paper which of coarse ran out . So I go to get another role, 30 min later we get a knock on the door and it was the guy asking if he can borrow that role of toilet paper that another tenant needs to use it. Hands down this was the worst hotel stay in my life, the price is cheap for a reason. Your better off spending the extra money to stay elsewhere. read more

I showed her the price online, she did something on her computer and told me to check again. I refreshed the website and it showed no rooms available. Honestly, I was thinking this was going to be a scary, ghetto and dirty little motel in Long beach but I was pleasantly surprised. Very updated, clean and had hardwood floors. Now I'm no hotel snob by no means but I was hesitant to stay here because of the previous review. I HATE SPIDERS AND INSECTS. HOWEVER I saw none. It was extremely clean and peaceful. so, I've been to this motel before about 3 years ago. the staff was friendly enough, but after I went in my room to take a shower, I realized that there weren't ANY towels. I asked a couple guys who were working on the entrance to the door next to me,(for 2 hours, not quietly) and one of them told a matronly housekeeper to get me some towels and I stood there like an idiot while she did everything EXCEPT get me towels for the next 10-15 minutes. I got irritated and went in my room and after about 10 more minutes the perky hostess brought some. I am a finish carpenter and the quality of the work that has been done is ridicules. I would be ashamed to do work like that and charge money for it. Anyway, roaches kept sneaking out from between/under base trim and behind fridge. I'm not a germaphobe, by ANY means but for what they charge ($80) I could have done much better somewhere else. read more

So my search began as I was looking for hotels in Long Beach at a decent price. I came across this hotel online and decided to give them a call to see if they had any rooms available for next month. The minute I asked if there were any rooms available for next month on an exact date he rudely replied that there were no vacancies. I knew they had rooms available since I had gone online. I persisted to ask for availability the month after that and he rudely replied there are no vacancies from today until 2017. Yes as shocked as I was at his lack of customer service I was appalled at his continious disrespect. He proceeded to tell me to call back in 2018 Fucken assenhole !!!! and hung up. But... it was very nice..stayed in room. 111 updated clean..no dirty carpet nice floors flatscreen tv.. nice family runs it they were very nice..I asked if they had an ice machine they didn't but offered me a bowl of iceout of their personal unopened bag .. very quiet here. Killed a spider in the tub (not that I'm scared but thought I would note that), mix of sketch people and normal looking people, cable was fine. Rooms were fairly updated and Shawna that worked the front desk was great and super chill. We actually bought sheets to sleep on the second night.
