Our place is having mold removed and this is our second staycation in 2 weeks. Great hotel, dog friendly and lots to do. need to give some special recognition to JEREMY at the front desk. He checked us in, great attitude very warm and welcoming. He answered all of our questions and helped us find the best rate possible. We had a free night from our World of Hyatt membership, so we decided to visit one of our favorite places...Long Beach. We self parked which was easy and just a short walk to the hotel. Checkin was great with friendly staff and they were able to upgrade us to a Harbor view. Our stay also included a destination package and we got $10 to spend at the Market which was a nice surprise. The room was nice and clean. The tv was so big! And a refrigerator was also available to keep our drinks cold. We ate a quick breakfast buffet at the Tides downstairs. Who knew the LB Grand Prix was last week? Who knew Alex Palou would win? Many, but not me until I arrived last Saturday. I cruised in the sweeping entrance and met Sally. Just before letting me drive off to self-park the car for the duration of a cruise, Sally asked if I knew about the streets being closed when I return from my cruise. We did come back from the cruise and put our luggage in the car. We watched Palou win the race. We walked over a bridge to an island with food trucks and great restaurants. It was class "A" treatment. Everyone was so wonderful. The cruise just added another excursion with The Hyatt Regency and they are lucky to have Sally helping guests with logistics. read more

All the food was fresh & delicious! Started w a build your own salad bar with tasty salmon, tender chicken & yummy tofu along with flavorful toppings including my favorite crunchy chickpeas! Dinner was fabulous! Grilled salmon, tender short rib, mashed potatoes & carrots & mushrooms! Dessert was so good! The rolls w butter were also perfectly delicious! Breakfast included fluffy scrambled eggs, short ribs w potatoes, fresh fruit, tasty muffins and chia pudding! Staff was always attentive & friendly! Loved the ocean view from my room! Room was spacious except for the tiny bathroom. The mirror had the brightest light that made it uncomfortable to look at myself while doing my hair & makeup. Very tight space! From check in to check out-we enjoyed our stay. Our room had a great view that overlooked the swan ride and a view of the port. The service from every person we encountered was just great. We were going on a cruise and drove and so glad that Godwill, our bell person, told me about the parking option at the hotel. Godwill was very helpful and so kind. I've stayed at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach several times, and each visit has been wonderful. We usually book the 2 Double Beds Harbor View room, which offers a fantastic view of the Long Beach harbor--you can see the Queen Mary, Shoreline Village, and even parts of the Port of Long Beach right from the window. The room's interior is simple, relaxing, and carries a calm beach vibe. The bathroom is a bit small but always spotless. The hotel's location is perfect, right in the heart of Long Beach with easy access to shops, restaurants, and major attractions. I especially enjoy the bridge walkway to Shoreline Village and Main Street--it's so peaceful for a morning stroll or a walk during sunset. The hotel is also next to the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center, which is incredibly convenient. It brings back great memories of the yearly exhibitions hosted there by a company I used to work for. As Hyatt Globalists, we truly appreciate the complimentary breakfast, free movie, $10 bar credit, and local discounts, including fun activities like the Swan boats. All of these perks make the stay even more enjoyable. The service is excellent. Every staff member we've met has been friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Third time in Long Beach but second time at this Hyatt and aside from the resorts in Mexico this has been one of my favorite Hyatt properties yet! Close proximity to the marina/harbor (not sure of the difference and I've heard it referred to both ways) and love the perks! First off, you get $10 off daily at the Market Bar for food or drink. Second, you get 10% off Queensview Steakhouse which is my favorite restaurant in the area. You also get 10% off Parker's Lighthouse and 15% off Kalaveras across the street. Third, the views are great and tons of eateries, activities, shopping and food trucks within walking distance. I think you also get free or discount swan rides from the cute little lake outside. Staff is super friendly, hotel is super clean, and there's tons of chill/lounge space, whether you're here solo or with a group, lots of space to sit and spread out. Love it here! read more

We did a quick weekend stay to visit the Pacific of the Aquarium and found the hotel to be family-friendly and centrally located. There is a leisure fee that is baked into the total cost of the room that includes a "free" in-room movie, swan boat ride, coffeehouse credit, and attraction discount. We were truly in and out of our hotel but found it to be roomy and clean. The kids loved their little aquarium themed gift bags they received at check-in. I think this place is great for a business conference or a quick stay but not super vacation like and that's fine. read more

I've been going to anime cons for 23 years. I've seen it all. Most hotels treat con attendees exceedingly poorly under the best of circumstances. We've been staying at this hotel for the past two years during anime Los Angeles, and have had a great experience. The last time we were here was exceptional bc it was during the apocalyptic fires of Jan 2025. Hotel staff took care of the folks displaced by the fire and the anime con attendees exceedingly well. I've been in both situations and it's hard seeing ppl partying while you are going through one of the biggest losses of your life. At the same time, as a con attendee, you are spending a lot of money for your experience and want to have fun. Staff were kind, respectful, and consummate professionals to EVERYONE. They went above and beyond for all their guests. Ppl escaping the fires were provided with entertainment like movie nights. Con attendees were given extra amenities, particularly if they were cosplaying. I've never seen a hotel in the US do that before! One of the most heartwarming experiences of my con attending days. Wish all Hyatts had this energy! read more

I stayed at the Hyatt in Long Beach and absolutely enjoyed my stay! It was a beautiful, breath taking view from our room and such a convenient location nexts to shops and restaurants. When we arrived, they had folks who helped us bring our bags from our cars to our hotel room. The employee said that they are a fully services hotel meaning they assist their guest with almost everything! So, service is top tier. Although this hotel is a little on the pricier side, it came with great perks and amenities. I didn't snap a photo of the gym but I saw that they had Pelenton Bikes (I believe) and a Lululemon mirror. In addition, reservations came with a $10 daily credit you can use at the hotel for food or drinks, complimentary wifi, a pool/spa area where you can reserve a cabana, and you're also able to connect your Netflix to the TV chromcast. You can also rent a swan boat that is right outside the hotel (I believe it's a apart of it) for you to peddle around in the lagoon area. There are also plenty of areas to lounge in the main lobby and other rooms where you can work or relax. I ate breakfast there pretty much everyday and the Breakfast pizza along with the parmesan and leek pastry was delicious! The food was made and prepared fresh to order. I also enjoyed the coffee they served as well. The only feedback I have is the amount of sweetener /syrup they add in the coffee. It's an extra $1 and I do think they should add a little bit more to the it standards recipe. I am not a super sweet coffee person, so even I think it was a little bland. However, if you add an extra half of pump of syrup, the coffee is very smooth and tasty. As far as the room, I stayed in a standard two double bed room and although it was very nice, it was a little more snug than expected. When we arrived, it was very clean and I can see that housekeeping does work hard to maintain that. They had about 3 housekeepers daily on our floor which means they are able to be fully thorough to the rooms they are attending to. My only feedback about housekeeping is that one morning they came into our room at 7am to tidy up our room which I think is far too early. Not a huge thing to complain about in my situation, but I'd hate if that happened to anyone with babies or toddlers who are on a specific sleep schedule. I had a short stay at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach for the 19th annual A2MEND Summit at the neighboring convention center. The level of service I experienced made me feel like I was visiting a television ad for a few days. A gentleman named Godwill saw our party and luggage to our room, made sure the atmosphere and temperature were adjusted to our liking, set us up with ice, and gave us details and tips to navigate between the hotel and Convention Center. A charming mustached Black man with the brightest smile made checkout a painless breeze while the young brother handling our departing valet worked with measured precision to accommodate our needs without making us feel hurried - despite two conventions ending and another simultaneously beginning. The air was busy, but we were not made to feel rushed. I hope the Hyatt is rewarding everyone's seamless hard work , especially the BIPOC staff because each person, from front facing to behind the scenes housekeeping staff, elevated our experience. Stayed here for a night before a cruise and was satisfied. I paid for early check in and was in my room by 1pm. The hotel lobby was clean and beautifully decorated. I thought the vending machine with essentials was a nice touch too. The location is phenomenal. Went out to the aquarium then walked around the promenade for a bit and rode the Ferris wheel. Great customer service!! We checked in for a conference for 4 nights. When I got to my room, I thought it was kind of smelly, like sewer but we had to get over to the conference so I ran out thinking the smell would go away. I unpacked. Few things so they wouldn't wrinkle and headed out. I got back to my room before dinner and it was still smelly. I stopped at the front desk on the way out and asked them to have it looked at. When I got back after dinner I was told engineering took care of it. I got to my room and it was even worse!! It was late so they gave me an option to move then or in the morning. Needless to say I chose to move that night. They had a room on the same floor but it didn't have a water view. I asked if they had another room with a water view and they did. Security met me at my room with keys to another room on the 16th floor. It was great! I rehung my clothes and finally got to sleep a little after midnight. I received a text the next day making sure I was happy, thanking me for my understanding and an offer of adding points to my Hyatt account or a discount. They really went above my expectations. The hotel is clean and quiet. Definitely a nice place to stay. Lots of food options close by, a short walk to the beach, a small lake in front with swan peddle boats. The pool and hot tub were really nice. The pool is heated. Hint- even number rooms have the water view! read more

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach for a couple of days before my cruise out of San Pedro because Long Beach is a former home and much nicer than San Pedro (IMO) I received a great rate on the Booking.com and I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is located at Shoreline and Pine and the area is completely walkable to the beach, shopping and dining. The room was spacious, complete with a large screen television and million dollar views of the Shoreline area. My only negative is that they use Directv. Service was excellent. Food options were decent and affordable in The Market. You can preorder your food before heading down as there is no room service. Parking is one of the priciest in the area at $41 per night. Stayed here for 3 nights 4 days for a work conference. I am a World of Hyatt member and what they call a "Discoverist" and as such I originally had a room on the 8th floor but my coworker and I asked to be placed in the same floor as one another, the clerk was happy to accommodate the request and placed me into a beautiful room in the first floor. The view from my room was AMAZING! I looked across a lake where there were paddle swans available to rent and the sunset just looked beautiful dropping behind the palm trees!! The bed was really comfortable but the pillows were awful, super flat, had to pile 3 on top of each other to make 1 nice pillow but still woke up with a kink in my neck. Loved having a sitting area and loved the amount of open space in the room also! Bathroom was very nice, very clean. Spent some time at the bar also, Nikki was our bartender and she was so friendly and made great drinks! There's also a market next to the bar where you can buy food and drinks. During the conference we were provided breakfast and lunch banquet style at the hotel. The food was not good, breakfast was very limited, eggs were runny and bread was stale. Lunches were not much better, chicken was dry and again not many options to choose from. I understand the choices were probably made by the host but the food not being cooked properly was an issue. I enjoyed walking around the lake for exercise, the grounds are very clean. There is a parking garage and they offer self park or valet. Overall it's a great place to stay while in Long Beach!! Plenty of restaurants across the street to choose from while you're there!! read more

It turned out to be ignorant tourists but if it were people intentionally doing it on purpose, what of our safety if we had to be the one to tell them. Some other notes. Hubby had a conference next door and his room was booked here for a few days. Structured parking is super convenient and attached between the Hyatt and Convention Center. Since he checked in a day before my arrival- It was an easy check in process for me without his presence. I was really impressed with the layout of the lobby and how spacious it really is. I have never seen a humongous lobby! There's a cozy room tucked between the main and side entrances. I didn't walk in to enjoy all the cozy sofas- but, it's great to have a space available that's not so spread out in the open. The reception area is directly across the main entrance. It's great that there's a Market Cafe that has good hours of operation. You can order hot foods like, pizza, hot wings, salads- to name a few. And attached is also a market, with refrigerated sandwiches, egg salads, fruit salads. And an assortment of drinks you can purchase- alcoholic and non alcoholic. Around the corner from that is the bar area. And since this Hyatt location also has conference rooms- the bartenders are buzzing about getting drinks served up for patrons. Our room was on the 11th floor and overlooked the Rainbow Lagoon & Long Beach Shoreline Marina. I knew the had the Swan paddle boats rentals- but, had no idea they lit up at night! Really a cool sight! Too bad weather was finicky during our stay here, and hubby had to attend conference. Our first night, was National Popcorn Day. Complimentary fresh popped corn was available all night long next to the bar area. And in between the saltiness of the delicious popcorn and the stiff double margaritas- it was a perfect balance! I typically bring bath bombs to indulge in a good soak- but, only shower stalls are available. I asked hubby if microwaves are in the room- he said no. So, I meal prepped some leftovers from home- and brought my electrical LunchEaze. I figured a could save a few bucks. Many outlets throughout our king sized room. And the window ledge is wide enough- you gain extra shelves for whatever items you have, and it's less counter space you take up. The mattress and pillows are super comfy and the water pressure heats up real quick. I found out, the night before we left- MICROWAVES are available next to the ice machine, on each floor! LOL. The proximity to Pike's Outlets across the street and Shoreline Village offers many restaurants to choose from. I had my medi boot on, and thank goodness the weather held up for me to walk a short distance and enjoy some fresh air. You will also need your Parking card w/ the QR code to get towels at the pool area. read more

Gentlemen our last night (Tuesday night) was incredibly helpful. He also recommended a GREAT pizza place, Big E! So good! Towel system annoying but again understandable. Kids were cold going back up to room since we couldn't take towels out of pool area. But they survived lol. Blower at 7:50am outside window wasn't fun but it may have been by accident because it stopped right after. Love love LOVE the pool is open til 11! Bravo whoever decided that. Thank you. Too many close early. We do appreciate the extra time. Very thoughtful! Water $4 in the room. It's water. Come on, give two a day for free. After that yeah go ahead andcharge $5 if you want. Super hard water. Super hair. Hair is a mess from it. Headboards are fabric. Gross. Who came up with that idea. Beds were so squeaky. Sheets were so starched they were loud. BUT, they were clean and that matters most. We still slept well. Short walk to convention center. I have a debilitating autoimmune disorder and was so grateful hotel had an elevator up to the walkway to the center. So convenient. The good, the so-so, and the comfort. I really enjoyed my experience here. The location is amazing--right on the water, within walking distance to the beach, Shoreline Village, the Pike, and the Aquarium. There's a peaceful little lagoon that wraps around the hotel with swan boats you can rent, which adds a really fun and unique vibe. The area around the hotel is lively but not overwhelming--great for walking, grabbing food, or just relaxing by the water. It definitely feels like you're in the heart of Long Beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was solid. Amenities like the pool, hot tub, and gym were a nice bonus. Came here for a work conference. If my work wasn't paying for it I would have chose somewhere else. This place is a rip off. The only pros are the harbor view and the huge tv. That's about it. The breakfast was literally powered eggs. I've gotten better breakfasts at motel 6. The area doesn't have much to offer during the day. Everything is closed. More of a nightlife area. Find a different hotel. The lobby looks nice but that does not carry over into the rooms. First impression, wet dog, the room had a very strong pet odor. Second impression, wasted space. I was shocked to see 2 full sized beds, not queen beds, full sized. Can 2 grown adults comfortably sleep in a full sized bed? No. There were 2 odd lounge chairs on the side of the room. Get rid of those and get standard hotel sized beds. Also there is no mini-fridge. There is a "chiller" but I did not want to keep any food in it because I didn't trust it to be kept at a safe temp. Bathroom lack towel bars. We had to hang towels on hangers to dry. I gave 2 stars because the staff was very nice and lobby restaurant had good coffee. read more

I really wanted to like this hotel. I come here for 1 week a month for work where I was staying here. First of all, it is very expensive. I do think it is clean most of the time which was the main reason I came here. They give you 10 dollar food credit which they make you pay by all the resort fees. I just had the worst experience on my life where I walked out of the room without my key rushing to get breakfast and if that ever happened before, I would just get a new key from the lobby and I would show my id on my phone. This morning, the person at the front desk refused to give me a new key despite me showing my ID on my phone, sent me upstairs and said to wait for security and that security will open the door which didn't arrive for a very long so that I can show them my real ID. I never had this kind of experience and I was locked out of my room for a very long time. Mind you I paid over 4000 dollars for this hotel for almost 2 week stay and I keep walking in and out every day. I don't think I will ever stay in here again. No customer service. They lost me as a customer next time read more

What a great hotel. The location has great views of the water. We attended for Interstate Technology Regulatory Council meetings. Front desk was amply staffed and checkin was easy. The room was a nice size and had a lounge chair and sofa. Very clean and the shower had great water pressure. A nice firm bed. We had a view of the aquarium and the water. Better than other hotels where they gave the block rate rooms facing walls or other buildings. The meeting space was very nice. Plenty of room for our meeting. The Hyatt staff kept it clean and tidy. The break area was well stocked with coffee and tea. Room service was good, although I found it odd someone came by at 730 AM to service the room. They did a great job replenishing the coffee. The lobby is very nice. A lot of seating for couples or small groups. They have a nice bar with two large TVs playing sports, but drinks are too expensive. We had two cocktails the first night and with tip it was almost $50! They do have a market cafe, but prices are pretty high. For example, a sausage egg english muffin was almost $10, compared to $4 plus at Starbucks. It really tasted the same as Starbucks. The cafe is really busy because there are no fast food restaurants nearby and even Starbucks is a hike. I do have to say they are very good at getting orders out fast. I like the filtered water filling stations located in several locations. They also have ice water in the bar that doesn't cost extra. The hotel is right next to to a HUGE convention center. So, finding food other than the hotel is a hike. You need to go up Pine or take the bridge south to the marina. As an added bonus, we were there during an eclipse and press day for the Grand Prix. The Hyatt is inside the circuit and you can watch the cars zoom by or go out to the walkway bridge to the south to see the cars on the track. read more

Terrible experience here honestly. The location is prime if you're interested in attend an event at the convention center, the Grand Prix, or other events in downtown Long Beach. We went to check in and had a company credit card. They refused to use it, even after we showed multiple IDs and driver licenses. They claimed "fraud" even though it was for a government agency and we had the appropriate documentation. We had to fill out a "credit authorization form" for the card, which didn't even ask for the card number or really any relevant information that would've deterred any fraudulent transactions. It took us an HOUR AND A HALF to check in. While standing there, several other people took 45 minutes or more to check in. It was the slowest, worst check in experience I've ever seen. They charge you daily for parking, at $44 a day. I had to pay $132 to park during my stay which is absolutely insane. The room was ok, it seemed modern. There was a laughably large television in there with only a few channels with programming worth watching. The "beach view" was a small sliver in the bottom corner window of the room. Don't pay extra for it. The "continental breakfast" was hilarious too. They charge you $30 to eat their breakfast there, and it's your standard cereal, pastries, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc. that most places provide for free. Not worth it, pay $30 somewhere else. Hotel and rooms were very clean and well maintained. Adjacent to the conference center so it was convenient. The pillows and mattress are due for replacement. I have never been so uncomfortable in a hotel bed. The pillows were like hard flat pancakes and the mattress was like a rock filled box. Bathroom was very dark, and there is no mirror above the desk area to utilize the natural light. Security did a great job of monitoring the area for panhandlers and the valet staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool and outdoor spaces were nice. Not sure if it's a Long Beach thing, but music in every establishment was so loud, hotel included. We were on the 4th floor and could hear the music in the room starting at 9am until the evening. Overall it was an average stay. read more
