This is a fun getaway spot. It is also home to many pilots on a layover. So if you are looking for a pilot this is your calling. If you are going to Universal Studios this is also a good spot. You are about 10 minutes from the park. This hotel is near BJs and Black Angus. Lots of other places kind of nearby with a 5 minute walk. There are two towers that have 19 floors or so. The parking was around $28.00. If you think you can park on the street, you cant. They have no free overnight parking. Burbank PD dont mess around. This time we were on the 6th floor near the elevator with a city view. There was zero noise. The rooms have a coffee maker. However you should grab some creamers and sugars down by the bar to keep in your room. There is also a fridge and microwave. Speaking of bars. They have one downstairs with happy hour from 3 to 6pm. The drinks are $5.00. Mixed drinks, beer on tap, etc. Can"t beat that deal. They also have food. We had a platter with pickled veggies, hummus, bread, oilves. Very good. I saw other people eating burgers, ceasar salads, fries. All looked amazing. Remember I told you about the pilots? A few were at the bar. They were so nice. They were paying for people too. The bartender said the bar on top floor will be open in June Friday thru Sunday. I wish they gave locals a discount. Try getting a room on a higher floor facing the freeway. read more

‼ WARNING We booked through Expedia using a pay-later option to split the cost between two cards, which the app explicitly allowed. At check-in, the front desk told us they just needed a card on file for parking and the deposit. No total ever showed on the screen before we authorized the charge, so we had no way of knowing what was actually being run. Turns out the full cost of the stay was charged to that one card, completely bypassing the payment setup we'd arranged through Expedia. My girlfriend ended up covering the entire stay on her card without ever agreeing to that. We called and spoke with the manager, Dennis, who was polite on the phone and actually agreed the experience wasn't handled well. He offered a discount, but that's not really compensation when money was already taken without us being told the real total. When we asked for something more reasonable given the stress this caused, he went quiet for over a week, then emailed back saying an internal "investigation" confirmed staff followed proper procedure, and that we should contact Expedia if we had concerns. The room itself was fine, that's not the issue. The issue is transparency at check-in. Nicely renovated, bed was definitely decent, room was pretty sizeable (top floor end of hall), toiletries were nice (and included a makeup remover towel which was super nice bc I had a lot on for a show ) Friendly staff, enjoyed some breakfast at the cafe before heading out. The location is perfect because it on the I-5, walkable restaurants and mall and IKEA. The staff are all hospitable. Another aspect we appreciated -- warm, welcoming service at check-in & at the end of our stay when stowing our luggage at the bell desk. But, there are a number of reasons I might choose another Burbank hotel on our next visit... The light switch in the bathroom automatically turns on a roaring loud fan & there isn't a way to shut it off. Also an issue is the bathroom were a few tiny flies in the shower (a minor issue since they were gone after we first ran the water.) Due to thin walls and/or old pipes, we could hear upstairs neighbors flushing their toilets when our room was quiet. Bothersome for light sleepers. Clean bedding, but the bed itself was not the especially comfortable or plush. Someone in my party next door reported tossing & turning all night. My son was invited to perform down the street at a local comedy club after he went viral on TikTok, (@zackofalltrades_) so we chose this hotel for its location. I am SO glad that we did. We drove so the secured parking garage was a huge plus, at $25 a day, it was worth the peace of mind. We arrived at 2 PM and were able to check in right away, which was really nice. Everyone was really nice and professional. The elevators are glass, so you get a really sweet view of the surroundings on your way up to your floor. Our room was right near the elevator, so that was convenient. There are two towers, we were in C. The room was really spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable! I slept like a baby most nights that we were there. I loved the desk so that I could pull out my laptop and check my emails every day. Our first morning there we had breakfast in the cafe, the food was very generous and absolutely delicious! Every bite was satisfying. The icing on the cake was that a manager came over to us in the cafe and asked how our stay was and if there was anything she could do to make it any better. I have never had that happen at any hotel I have ever stayed at. To me that was top notch customer service, but it gets even better.... We stayed for 5 nights, on the 4th day/night, my son hurt his knee, we ended up at an urgent care in Santa Monica and they couldn't figure out what happened. He was in so much pain and could barely walk. We had to cut our sight seeing short. When we got back to the hotel, I got some ice and used one of my ziplock bags to hold it in. Thankfully he was able to rest relatively comfortably for a few hours. When he woke up just after midnight, he couldn't stand on his leg at all. He is 6'5" and very big, there was no way I could help him to the bathroom on my own. He called the front desk and asked if they had any wheelchairs that he could us. By 12:35 AM an associate was at our room with a complimentary wheelchair that we could take off property if we needed to. You have no idea how much that simple act of kindness meant to both of us. The last day of our trip was saved! By Monday morning when we checked out, my son's leg was doing better. I so appreciate the kindness of the staff at Hotel Burbank, we didn't know what we were going to do with him not being able to put any weight on his leg. I will never forget it and this will be the place we lay our heads every time we come back! If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would. read more

The parking structure was $25.49 before tax. There were two free EV charging stations in the structure. There was no one using the charging station when we stayed there on a weekday night. The hotel was outdated and big. Plenty of places to roam around. The garden in the back was beautiful with a koi pond. The swimming pool was dirty. The fitness center was a descent size. Stayed in a standard king room for $179.49 before tax. The bed really comfortable. The elevators were really neat as they allowed you to see outside. Recommend going to the 20th floor for the view. You can do that by taking the elevators to the 19th floor and walking up one of the stairs to the 20th floor. The doors to the stairs don't lock. read more

Not bad at all for an older Hotel. Me and my wife are staying here for our Anniversary on Valentines weekend and we like it. The check in was fast and easy and the guy hooked us up with a room with a nice view. They ask you do you want to stay high or low which is cool because most Hotels just put you where they want to put you. No jacuzzi, but they do have a sauna and the pool is nice and clean. they have a little zen garden area with the Koi pond and bridges. Looks like a place where people get married or take pictures for weddings. It's got a nice little vibe. It's a little dated, but it's still is nice and peaceful. It's also walking distance to plenty of restaurants and places to eat. One thing we did not like is that the sink in the bathroom smells really bad it's coming up from the pipes. read more

This place..... It's sad to watch its decline. But believe me, it has slowly declined and the powers in charge should be ashamed of themselves for it. All the furniture in the room is beat up, sad and old. The windows... show me receipts where you've paid to have them washed- I dare you! The thermostat- the numbers don't even light up anymore so it's a gamble what you're setting the temp to and the old window unit a/c will remind you of that vacation you took with your family in 1972 and the motel you stayed in. The vent in the bathroom.... loud enough to be heard from 3 floors away and it too hasn't been dusted/ cleaned since gas was under $2 a gallon. I've added a picture to this review. One can only wonder what that 'stuff' is on the wall next to the toilet paper holder.... and this was on one of the high floors and an 'executive king' room. We stayed for a trip out to see family. As a military family, we travel to California often to see our family and were distraught over the awful condition of the room: the room was stuffy and soooo outdated!!! the bed is definitely a full that's not a queen. The bathroom vent fan didn't work so the tiny bathroom was rusted and it hadn't been working for some time so the curtain track in the bedroom was rusted and you fought the blinds to close. I mentioned this to staff and they were unable to fix the fan and sprayed WD 40 on the blind track. The pool area has cigarette butts. The elevator is sufficient only for the week days- it's quite the nightmare and fight for guests on busy weekends. The gym is renovated and quite impressive. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, but clearly the renovations were focused on amenities and outward than the room for guests. Perhaps only certain rooms were renovated? Then why was I charged the rate of a newer Hilton. The breakfast menu works but pricey!!! Because breakfast isn't included it's more like $15-25 per person. Also, because we travel for a long period of time, I was annoyed to see an outdated laundry room with half the machines broken!!! You also pay for parking $12 a day which isn't outwardly shared. We have stayed at this location several times when in Burbank. This experience since it has been taken over by Hotel Burbank was poor. We booked our room months prior. Upon arrival they advised we were upgraded to a suite. Awesome! Once in the room we thought, this must be a bad dream. Our room faced I-5 freeway. It was as if there was no sound proofing. If you ever wanted to know what it was like to sleep on the streets next to the freeway, than our room had the experience...ohhh and the lovely touch of the train whistle every hour adds the cherry on top. Needless to say, we did not sleep, definitely not the hotel if you were actually looking to sleep. But hey, their rooftop bar was nice. read more

A 2 or maybe a hard 3 star hotel. Not the best, not the worst. But not worth paying premium pricing for with things lacking: 1) Parking -- You have to pay to park. It's not a bad rate. A little over $20 but there's no alternative street parking. Why? Because they have arbitrary parking enforcement signs, which means you can't park on the street from 3 AM to 4 AM. 2) No complimentary breakfast. They do have a restaurant/cafe though. 3) The beds -- not the best, not the worst. The sheets are clean, so that's a good sign because I've been in hotels where I'm just like..."I am not getting underneath those covers," 4) The room itself is dated. Old glazed over popcorn ceiling look. Old dated carpet. I'm glad I had slippers. Definitely wasn't trying to walk on them barefoot, It seems like it hasn't been changed since the hotel first opened and it seems like this hotel was built in the 70s. 5) The bathroom fan is clearly just used for noise and did nothing to prevent shower steam. Tub needs a replacement. It was as clean as they could get it. And when it has that look, you know it just needs to be replaced. 6) WIFI -- None in my room. Attempted several times. It's spotty, and the front desk said there's issues with it "from time to time". 7) The room itself had areas that weren't clean. Dirty curtains, thick dust near the AC vent area. 8) No screen in the window -- Not good to open it because anything can fly in. I hope no one is in THAT mind frame with no screen here. 9) Ice Machine wasn't working. 10) Staff is ok. It's clear from their demeanor that they deal with a lot. The location is great. The walkability is fantastic. You're in the heart of downtown. My room had a great view here. I really wanted to stay another night but not at the price they gave me. read more

Check in was a breeze, very easy, she explained about the parking, which turned out to not work so I ended up just pushing the button for a ticket and figured I'd worry about it later. Pablo was great at the hotel bar, he made me a yummy mocktail, thanks Pablo! Beds were super comfortable. My only real complaint was being woken up at 7 am with the family next door. I woke up thinking they were directly in my room, because I could hear them so well. It was a conjoining room, so not sure if it was that or if the walls are super thin, but it went on for hours. I had to use my portable charger to charge my phone. Ceilings are extremely low in hallways. Beds are OK, but not the comfiest. I found hair on the mattress but under the blanket, and I saw a noticeable stain on a pillow. Parking garage on premise, need to pay. I was an hour late to a very important commitment because both the knob and the bathroom door itself in my room were broken, apparently their Maintenance saw this door and thought this was ok(picture below). This negligence on their part trapped my keys inside and delayed me severely. More dangerously, that could have literally been me or someone else trapped inside a bathroom with a door that doesn't open, with no way for anyone on the outside to hear you. I told him on your website it shows that you have suites available then he tells me they save those.. I was even more confused but had a long day at this point and honestly just wanted to get in to our room. We later then order pellows to our room. We waited for a while and because our room was very close to the elevator we can hear it. We went to open the door and our pellows were on the floor, absolutely disrespectful and disappointing they never knocked on the door but put them on the floor, What makes you think we'd want pellows that we put our heads on to be on the floor. Who does that. If the knocked it was the softest knock in history that doesn't justify putting the pellows on the floor, I seen cobwebs on put of our door entrance and our rest room I'm sure if you go there now there still there. Our food had old tomatoes or frozen not sure but as much as you change you should definitely carry fresh produce. Our waiter/Bartender was ver nice Issa possibly his name was young gentleman had great service. As much as you charge for parking you would think that you would have a security on the premises in the parking lot anyone can come from the street and do anything and leave also the elevator wasn't working. A wonderful experience! Hotel Burbank has a new manager, Caremla Buenrostro, and she is fabulous. We stay at this hotel each year for an event in Burbank, and the service has improved so much under the her management. Every detail was seen to for our large group. She was thoughtful, caring and always pleasant. The food at the cafe and the restaurant was delicious. The Happy Hour with $5 well drinks was fun. Our room was very comfortable for the 3 nights we were at Hotel Burbank. The hotel allowed us to use the Bellroom to store costumes for a few hours before our event, and the day and night staff were so accommodating, friendly, and smiling. Carrmela is expeinced in hotel management and she is all about the guests. I recommend a stay at Hotel Burbank. read more

I used to stay here when it was Holiday Inn and it was my first time here under Hotel Burbank. This is my go-to spot and i will def. be returning. Its a very simple yet centrally located hotel. They have room service from the cafe next door. Its a fee i think $2 for them to bring to your room. Standard room service food. I love the outdoor pool area. This hotel has everything needed for a quick stay. Sure some stuff might be outdated but everything is functional, staff is super friendly and located in a great area. Shuttle to and from BUR is always convenient. Also, they have a super cute outdoor garden/gazebo area on one of the levels. VERY quaint and relaxing spot to sit for a bit. read more

Hotel Burbank was surprisingly beautiful. Upon entering I was happy to see they have their own café, their own bar, and all kinds of trendy seating areas throughout the hotel. The hotel is updated and when walking the halls of the bottom floor, you feel as if you're in a trendy city building. The location is also very prime with many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. My only complaint was the staff was not the friendliest. They also had no earplugs available. The medicine vending machine was broken and the trash in the hallway sat out there for two days. Good thing we didn't really need the staff for much. Hotel was nice and clean. Front desk was friendly and shuttle service to Burbank airport was convenient and easy to use. Cafe food and coffee was delicious and nice area to eat and cozy area if you want to relax and have a drink. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Let's start with the positive. The location was ideal, with walkable access to restaurants and stores. We were able to access the main roads with ease, thereby minimizing exposure to traffic. The main lobby and public areas were fairly clean. There was an issue with accessing the pay for parking garage with the key, an ongoing issue which the front desk seemed to be aware of, but it was addressed promptly. Now on to the main issue. The property markets itself as non-smoking, however on our last night there was a strong pervasive smell of smoking, apparently coming through the bathroom vent which emanated through the front part of the room, including the area where my daughter and I slept, since the bed was closest to the bathroom. Needless to say, it kept us up for a good portion of the night. Since it was our last night, it didn't make sense to uproot ourselves and request another room. Upon checkout, I notified the front desk staff, who made a note to have management look into it. No concession for the inconvenience, which would have been an appropriate gesture and is standard for a service oriented business that appeals to return customers. read more

The reservation was in my name, I had the confirmation number and my ID, but no dice. This was on Friday AM, about 7:30AM. I had to repeat the room number 3 times, because the low-effort check-in desk girl didn't give a rip, and told me "it's a security policy." My experience with the housekeeping department was extremely disappointing. Ana Luna was rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful to both guests and employees. I asked her a simple question in the elevator, and she completely ignored me until I asked for the manager's name--then she suddenly decided to respond. I also witnessed her yelling at the housekeepers and treating them terribly. When I called for towels, she answered the phone with no customer service at all and never sent what I requested. Some of the other women in housekeeping try to be helpful, even if their English isn't perfect, but Ana was the opposite. Hotel Burbank is getting better! For years this was a Holiday Inn, and was still remodeling when I last stayed here, but things are definitely looking more spiffy and the vibe is definitely more modern. We stayed for two nights in October, and had a nice time. One thing that most guests don't take the time to check out is the very cool zen garden located behind the southwestern tower near the intersection of S. Ikea Way and E. Tujunga Avenue. It is a very nice break from the hustle and bustle of LA, and there is never anybody there. I have stayed in various places in Burbank over the years and this remains my favorite. Once the remodeling is finished, it will certainly warrant five stars from me! read more

In simple they are a good hotel and a fair price located not too far away from universal studios which is why we came here. They also have an electric car charging station for up to three cars which allowed me to rent a Tesla. Rooms were clean and the front desk provided very good customer service. But you're coming here for the location and not the view. We did not try any of the amenities they offered. If we comeback and need a hotel in this area I would definitely stay here again. read more

This place should be reclassified as a Motel. The room is a dimly-lit cave of sadness decorated by someone who clearly gave up on life halfway through picking out the carpet. It smelled like a 50-year-old motorhome that's been through at least two divorces and never once washed the sheets. That funky "used human" scent has fully saturated every fabric surface, especially the curtains, which are doing a stellar job hoarding musty odors, like it's their life's mission. There were food crumbs on the floor the second we walked in, a generous unwelcome gift, I assume, from the previous guests. The nightstand had actual dirt on it. Not "oops we missed a spot" dust , I'm talking visible debris. Even worse were the pubic hairs trapped under the fitted sheet on the mattress. A detail so vile it instantly killed any hope of sleep. The thermostat? A mysterious slab of plastic that doesn't show a temperature, just take a guess. And in case you were hoping to distract yourself with TV, think again. No smart TV, no streaming. Just like the good ol' days when remote controls were optional. The elevator tried to kidnap me. It opened and closed three times in a row like it was haunted by the ghost of someone who also hated their stay. I bailed before it turned into an accidental sauna/deathtrap, because it's made of glass and I was baking in the sun like a rotisserie chicken. The tower itself looks like it hasn't had a deep clean since dial-up internet was invented. The ice machine is literally falling apart the front panel was hanging off like it was trying to escape the building. Makes you wonder how many mold colonies are thriving inside its inner workings. There's a nightclub next door blaring music. Combine that with the freeway noise and sirens that never stop, and you've got yourself a symphony of regret. I had to leave the TV on just to try and drown it all out. This is an emphatic NEVER AGAIN. You could not pay me to stay here. Hard pass. read more

Love this hotel! I usually stay at this hotel for work and I always love the hotel. This time I stayed for personal with my family and they didn't disappoint! The hotel staff is always super friendly and helpful!! The hotel is very cozy and clean. Always have clean towels available and the bathrooms are clean with no hair left behind. They offer a free shuttle to and from the airport which saves us money on getting an Uber or getting a rental car. Tons of restaurants and shops literally within walking distance. Also Trader Joe's and Walgreens is a 10-15 min walk down the street for a little bit of groceries or water. The pool area isn't huge, but perfect for a quick swim to cool off. Definitely will keep coming back to this hotel and giving good reviews! They have came a long way from being a Holiday Inn! read more

We stayed here everyone we came to California over the past few years This last time we stayed I walked into the room only to see they booked us in a room that another person was already in. I asked to speak to manager on duty. she finally called the new room they switched us to and a computer glitch as well as blamed it on training never offered us a discount a free meal or any compensation. Myself, my boyfriend, and my son stayed at the Hotel Burbank this past weekend during a trip to California for Universal Studios. It was a true three star experience - nothing terrible, but nothing great either. As with most places, the photos definitely made this place look better than it truly was. Also, they're under construction right now so just note that if you're staying there anytime soon. The elevators take a very long time to get to you, so be prepared to wait. They are also situated outside, ish, somehow? Because all of their elevators are straight wind tunnels! There were even a few shut down due to wind. Staff was kind and the one time we did have a request they got up to our room quickly with the extra towels we asked for. The rooms were fine, worked well for the stay. Beds were decent (not the best, but I wasn't sore from them either). We had two Queen beds with a city view, and we liked being up super high on the 18th floor. Our room had both a mini fridge and a microwave which was nice when we took leftovers back to our room. Some things to note about the bathroom - the tubs fill up FASTTT. Not a bad thing, but just be aware when giving your kids a bath! Also, the toilets flush AGGRESSIVELY. Very loud and quick, which scared us a couple of times in the middle of the night. We also rented a car so we parked overnight here - it was only $22 a day which I feel is pretty low for most spots. All in all it was a decent stay and worked for our trip. After all charges were said and done there wasn't anything hidden or weird and my incidental fee was given back to me quickly. Thanks for helping us have a good trip, Hotel Burbank! read more
