I have stayed at this hotel on prior occasions and posted that the staff is not very friendly, I found this still to be true. When I checked in the girl was very unfriendly. They are still charging $25 plus tax for parking. My last stay, I had to call and ask for towels because they did not have them in the room, same problem this time also. The toilet leaked around the handle every time you flushed it. I would expect more from a hotel of this size. Next time I will stay at motel 6 for a better experience. read more

I really don't have a ton to say about this hotel since I was in and out relatively quickly on a recent work trip but for what I do have to say is mostly positive. The only negative that I can pinpoint is that the hotel is in need of some updating but it also isn't in jeopardy of falling apart either. I will note that the staff is top-notch, especially the young man at the front desk handling check-in. He was quick, friendly, and even hooked me up with some complimentary toiletries when I realized that I had left mine at home. The location is stellar and was only a few minute walk over the freeway from the train station. From there, bars/restaurants are easily accessible and there is no need for an Uber if you plan on staying in the area, which I did. Lastly, the CVS vending machine came in clutch in the middle of the night when I woke up with a splitting headache and needed something to soothe the pain a bit. Not a bad place and I'll definitely return when I'm back in the area! read more

This hotel was ok. Not good, not bad, but decent. To start finding the parking to first unload was a little confusing and we had to drive around a second time to find the right area. However the parking garage right next to the hotel was only around $25 a day and added onto our hotel bill which was nice. The staff weren't rude but not friendly either. So it wasn't exactly a warm welcome and the one time i called down to the desk and asked the lady "can i ask you a question" her response was "i don't know can you" and then she laughed and i was a little taken off guard but then proceeded with my question. The elevators are pretty slow and the card reader in there doesn't seem to always work first try. The rooms were ok but not a lot of drawer space so we lived out of our suitcase. And the bathroom was kinda run down and rusty in quite a few areas but it worked. Online it says they off continental breakfast but when i asked the front desk where they told me no and you just go to the restaurant to buy food. Overall for the price it's not bad and parking is cheap. I probably wouldn't go back unless it was the best option for a last minute trip like this one was, but if you're barely in the room anyways this place can work. read more

Disappointing. I booked last minute, and a basic king room cost appx $200/ni for a Thursday and Friday night. That was fine but I also expected the quality of a hotel with similar prices and amenities (such as a Hilton or Marriott) but it gave more of a Best Western vibe. The common spaces are great. Self parking is $22/ni and convenient. The cafe is excellent (great coffee and terrific food. I especially loved the soyrizo breakfast burrito.) The rooms are another story. My first night, I woke up with an itchy throat and watery eyes. I looked outside and realized my room was right next to a large exhaust vent and rooftop with puddles of standing water. Assuming that the wall AC was pulling in allergens from one of those sources, I called down to the front and explained that I was having an allergic reaction. I asked to be placed in another room and the woman at the desk treated me like a huge inconvenience. I was put in another room that smelled of pet urine but felt I couldn't say anything so I sprayed perfume and tried to make the best of it. Unfortunately, my guest and I did get a great experience from this property. The hotel front staff lacked genuine sincere service. Our room was very outdated, wall paper torn, coffee maker plug damaged, a ball of hair was found stuck to the bathroom wall and the outlet plugged had a broken prong lodged into the socket. It started from the moment my guest and I entered the room. Both beds had a piece of hair near the pillow area. When we called they offered us "turn down" service. We didn't squawk. My guest asked for a bottle water (8 oz mini size). The evening of our third night we again asked for a bottled water and were instructed to go to the other end of the counter. When I asked I was informed that I could get the water from the cafe area. I received tap water in a plastic cup. I paid close to $600 which is ridiculous for any of your staff to be haggling over something so minor. My guest was informed that the waters were for the airline staff. I can't a better hotel on business than Hotel Burbank. Sure there's other places with more bells an whistles and amenities but they're usually pretty stuffy and in truth don't hood up to the expectations. Hotel Burbank on the other hand does hold up. The rooms are clean, modern, well appointed and there's enough amenities to get you through your stay. The beds are extremely comfortable and everything in the room is most all you need for your stay. I spent three weeks here on business and have no complaints. We all know three weeks can be a long time especially when you essentially live in hotels part of your life for business. I cannot think of that one single thing to mean about. They have a nice pool, sauna, gym, great business center I love as able to utilize with ease. Their restaurant is solid and surprisingly reasonably priced. As well, they're right center downtown Burbank with plenty going on and a great restaurant and cafe scene. The location is okay excellent. However, what makes this hotel top tier is the staff. They are super friendly, always helpful and very knowledgeable about their facility and everything around it. From the front desk and cleaning crew to the management and shuttle drivers everyone is top shelf in their business. These folks know how to handle all types of folks with ease and grace and you know they must come up against some real knuckle draggers in their business. In three weeks I witnessed a few situations arise, not once was hotel staff unable to handle them sincerity and finesse I really can't imagine having stayed anywhere better including the swanky joints where the staff could be any better. I surely plan on staying here again on business. If your on vacation or on the road Hotel Burbank should be a definite consideration. read more

Staff are friendly and a helpful. The gym is terrible. The equipment more than likely came from the Stranger Things film set. Everything is old and squeaks like crazy. This hotel is bleh. The rooms are a little outdated. The sheets are very rough. I'd say the pillows are pretty decent though. Good size but "dumb tv". Make sure and close the toilet seat or it will spray water all over. The hotel itself looks promising but past the lobby we were underwhelmed. Low ceiling's made me feel claustrophobic. You need your key to use the elevator. So that's kind of an inconvenience. This Hotel (OSO at Burbank) has the worst customer service ever! I went in today (9/22/2023) to check-in, and the hotel clerk refused to check-in and give the room key because I don't have a credit card for them to put on file. I told the front desk lady that I had already paid for the room, and I put down the $100 deposit in cash. They still reduced to check me in and not give me a refund or hotel credits. Basically, they took my money and refused to provide me service!!!!! What happens to business integrity these days? I did not have a good night sleep. The windows were soo thin that I could hear all the outside noise. I was woken up the second day by the person next door. I could hear his full conversation. I let management know that I was not satisfied with the stay but he just tried to explain his way out of the situation and showed no empathy nor interest in my discomfort. I will not be coming back to this hotel in the future if I know that management does not take complaints seriously. I had a last minute trip to Los Angeles for work and had to book hotels last minute within my budget and this was luckily available last minute! I got a superior king room and it was huge! I walked in and did a double take, there was way more space than I had anticipated. The room was clean and neat and, despite some outdated features, was extremely comfortable overall. They did fail to tell me when I checked in that they were having internet troubles and I had to spend an hour on my own to figure that out and having to burn through my hotspot to get work done. The fridge was also broken, not producing cold enough air to keep anything properly chilled and had a small pooling of water instead of frost in it. The man who checked me in was great! He was so nice and welcoming and made my first experience at the hotel a really sweet one! Even just for one night! Overall this was a great hotel and I'll personally be staying again. If you're picky about older features this place may not be one for you and that's okay! Not everyone is into that old 1950s roadside motel aesthetic and need newer features to feel safe and that's valid. read more

This is going to be a comprehensive review. I'll give you what I like and what needs improvement in my opinion. Parking is $22/day. I think it's expensive. When you are in the parking structure, there are no directional signs so I am informing you to take the elevator in the north west corner to level 1. You will have to walk across the driveway so make sure you look for cars. The staff in all areas were pleasant and accommodating. The security is good as you need your key to access places. The fan in the bathroom is very loud! If you are staying with someone and need to use the facilities in the middle of the night, you'll have to bring your phone as the fan is connected to the light and that noise will wake up anyone! Alternatively bring a nightlight. I stayed in a double queen. The towels are low end, not soft. No makeup mirror!!! I had to ask for shampoo and conditioner and the room gets cleaned every 5 days unless you request differently so I was taking out my own trash daily. Room had a mini fridge and microwave and one of those small coffee makers with 2 refills. I decided not to use it but to use the restaurant in the lobby. Personally I think this hotel should give free coffee service in the lobby. It's big enough and if you're trying to be a high end hotel, you serve free coffee. I paid over $6+tip for 2 cups of coffee every morning. The food in the bar is excellent. Their wine and beer selections are a little odd but I enjoyed the experience. You can navigate to a variety of restaurants and services along San Fernando Blvd so the location is great. Free WiFi if you like that kind of thing Bathroom is remodeled. Faucet handles are very tight. Because of the faucet placement, water will get on the counter at and behind the faucet. Don't put too much stuff there or it might get wet. Say they have room service but there's no menu in the room. No information on amenities in the room. You have a gym, where is it and what are they hours? You have a restaurant and a bar, same questions. No extra blanket. read more

I was sent to Hotel Burbank by Marriott Courtyard because they were over booked. They called me and said not to worry that they would make it up to me by providing me a hotel room free of charge for the inconvenience. I arrived at 10:30 pm and I find myself at the front desk while I'm writing this and it is now 11:15 pm. This place is part DMV and part Disneyland wait, neither one is an option EVER! Apparently this place is going through a renovation and it sure looks like it. The lobby looks like it was decorated with left over parts from a Mid Century yard sale! If I would have known that this was going to be my experience I would have brought my tent and just joined the homeless people on Victory Blvd! And as I continue to write this the customer service agent is taking what appears to be an online training session on how to use the computer. At this point I might as well ask for a pillow and a blanket and sleep in the lobby but the music is loud and the food delivery people are running in and out of this place. It's now 11:30 and we are finally in our suite listening to the loud traffic noise bouncing off our room window trying to come in. Hotels like these should not be refurbished but should be torn down and replaced with a cheap buffet. At least the line would be faster and I would know exactly what I was getting into. If a hotel provides you with a free nights stay at the Burbank hotel just say "no thank you" and ask for the complimentary water bottle instead. The Burbank Hotel is one of the places you want to stay away from at ALL costs! read more

Nice hotel. I booked through a third party website. There is plenty of parking. Park across the street to check-in then afterward you will get a keycard to use the hotel parking structure. Safety measures: hotel key required to enter lobby and use elevators. My room was a double queen. Room was very clean. Smelled clean too. There was a small bar just off the lobby with alcohol and to-go packaged snacks. Also could order hot food from a limited menu. There are a ton of places to eat around the hotel within walking distance. We didn't have time to use the pool. I would use this hotel again. read more

Stayed there on business. Was picked up at the airport and they were short staffed, so we had to wait for the shuttle which had to take numerous trips due to the amount of people waiting and not enough van space. I can understand being short staffed, but the guy they had to "call in" spent the whole time complaining about the company and why he was upset about having to work. Again, understandable but not professional. It took a while to check in, again due to staffing. Understandable. When attempting to put my IGH number on file, I was told "don't have time for that at the moment, try again later". Well, that was hard to do being I had early meetings and leaving the following day. Either way, the room was HUGE! It was basically an apartment with a beautiful view. The room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. The biggest downside was I ended up on the Main Street side and all night there were Jack asses that we're driving by and reving their engines, and the windows didn't drown out the noise of them or the trains. So, if you have a chance, as for a room on the opposite side of the Main Street. Breakfast was listed as a "grab and go for purchase", but couldn't really find where to find said breakfast. I was tired and had to leave anyway, so I didn't bother. I hope that the next time I'm there things go a little better. Just seemed that night it was a "when it rains it pours" sort of luck I was having. I can't completely blame the hotel for my lackluster experience because I understand staffing issues and whatnot. On June 14th at 2:50pm, my guest and I stopped at the front desk and asked Prisa for complimentary water. Prisa instructed us to speak with staff on the far end of the desk. Hannah and Matthew were both standing on the far end when my guest made a request for complimentary water. Hannah just looked at us and Matthew said there is no complimentary water, but down the hall there is water at the bar. Matthew walks away while I was informing him on night one I received water from a staff member. While my guest went down the hall for water, I waited at the front desk. In minutes of my guest leaving; airline staff approached the desk and Matthew returned and said to me "well we can make an exception". He pulls a bottle out and points it in my direction. I refused the water. He then tells me "the water is for airline staff only, but exceptions can be made". I continued to refuse the water. He then ask do I need anything else? I informed him I do not. If this is policy, the hotel should make it clear. Staff should not have to lie. I have been in customer service before and understand there are policy and procedures that have to be followed. Our room cost $200...they don't have enough money to buy all their guest water?? We didn't complain about the smell in the hallway/room, nor did we make a big deal about finding hair under our blanket and pillows, but they have the audacity to cry over some water. Very good. Check in was easy (and who in their right mind would complain about $22/night secured parking?), hotel, hallways, elevator and room were all clean. Returned from LAX about 9 pm and since gf (returned from Asia) was tired, we ordered room service sandwiches which were both solid! She got the Veggie Bahn MI (good effort) and I got the club sandwich as a WRAP which was a Home Run! Note to OSO HOTEL BURBANK ... add wraps to ur in house and room service menus ... all ur sandwiches and salads could also be sold as Wraps. Pool was not heated on 11.22.22 Great proximity to local shops, resto, pubs, etc thatI u walk to ... don't need a car after u arrive and park! Anyone who doesn't like Hotel Burbank is being paid to give a bad review. If you're in Burbank to paint the town and make some noice this is perfect location for this. But if you're on business and need rest, good coffee and maybe a meal. My best friend and I make yearly "girl's trip" to Southern California and stay in Burbank for the convenience and locale to other parts of Los Angeles. Let me start by saying that BURBANK HOLIDAY INN is definitely missed! Since HOTEL BURBANK has taken over, customer/quality of service, cleanliness and amenities and sorely been lacking and downright horrible. Over the past 2 years, Elevators are consistently down, card keys don't work at room door or in parking garage, NO LOUNGE/CAFE/STORE, no working Ice machines on the floors (it was literally the running joke on the elevator between other guests) and no room daily cleaning. After returning home, we sent Hotel Burbank emails in an attempt to express our dissatisfaction, the "manager" asked for tons of details about our stay and inconveniences only in the end to basically gave us the "oh well". Clearly customer service is last on their list. We will be booking another hotel when we return. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

My reference point is comparison to the former Burbank Holiday Inn, purchased by the current Hotel Burbank late last year. Since then, prices have increased, while quality of service and cleanliness has decreased. In 4 stays so far this year, perfunctory bordering on impolite desk staff have been the rule, not the exception. For most stays, I've been sandwiched in next to noisy guests in other rooms, despite ample vacancies. I'm sure this is a good business practice for increasing hotel profits (put as many guests as possible as close together as possible, for housekeeping efficiency), but for creating a pleasant/relaxing visitor experience, it's awful, bordering on insulting. The lobby has been overhauled. The rooms? Not so much, unless you appreciate the aesthetic of spray painting over old toilet seats to give them a fresh new look. The last straw during my latest visit, was stinkweed permeating the corridor of the floor I was on. If the current owners really believe striving for a cold, Amsterdam hostel ambience trumps the former good-value, meat-and-potatoes Burbank Holiday Inn hotel experience, I can only hope the bottom line shows them the error of their ways before they drive the place into the ground. read more
