I travel to the area a few times a year for work so I have stayed in multiple hotels and Airbnb. I hadn't seen this hotel before and it was priced right so I decided to give it a try. First of all, they are under new management. I'm not exactly sure when they took over but Sam introduced himself on the first night I was there and was really nice. We spoke several times during my 4 night stay and he shared his long term vision for the hotel, which sounds great. The location is perfect for what I needed. Close to lots of restaurants, my office, and in a safe neighborhood. They have an uncovered parking lot, which was a bit annoying since it rained the whole trip, and you do have to pay daily for parking now. The lobby was inviting and the front desk staff was helpful and got me checked in with no problems. My room was large and the bed by far one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. I also appreciated that they have regular AC controls and not the motion activated ones that seem to be the norm in hotels these days. My room was cool and comfortable. My only complaint was that the water pressure, specifically in the sink, was really low. If you enjoy drinks, check out the hotel bar. Dennis is hilarious and very entertaining. Someone complained about him being loud but I thought he was a lot of fun. There are locals that come in just to see him so that has to say something. Another complaint I heard was that the food was expensive. First, it is a hotel bar/restaurant in California. I though it was reasonably priced for what it is. They have a small but decent menu. I appreciate that they offer a few snacks by the front desk. You just grab, scan and go. It comes in handy when you have a teen that gets hungry for snacks late night. We stayed here for two nights and it was a very pleasant stay from the rooms to the free parking and shuttle! The shuttle van is very spacious and their schedule can definitely accommodate you! Be sure to schedule your time on the shuttle through the front desk! The facility is very clean and open. They have a restaurant on site and the bar was nice too. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms had a very large shower including a rain option shower head on one side of the shore and a regular head on the other side. They even have white robes in the bathroom as well. Some other features we liked were the quiet area, clean rooms, a variety of light options in the room so you don't just have one switch for the whole room. During our trip to Burbank, Hubby and I stayed at Coast Anabelle Hotel. It's a nice little hotel that I found online. Staff there are friendly. Upon arrival we checked in and got our parking pass and keys to our room. The room was nice and big, but we did notice that there was a bit of a dip in the floor. Big king size bed, couch, mini fridge, microwave, etc. What we enjoyed most about our hotel stay was the bar downstairs. The bartender that works there is super friendly and we hit it off until closing time. Why I'm docking a star was because one of the nights that we were there, we got a call from the front desk that we were being too loud and that the people below us were asking us to keep it down. Mind you, we were only watching TV at a low volume and not doing anything else. We walked around to go to the bathroom or to grab something from the fridge, but we were not at all loud. We told them that we will be mindful and about an hour later we got another call saying that there were still saying we were loud. We believe that it's from the dip that's on the floor that was causing it to seem like we were loud, but we walk normally, no stomping or anything. This ended up being plan b. We found a beautiful hotel we thought had a kitchen, and it didn't. So I called around and found this hotel last minute. We had a car full of groceries and no place to go, so I was relieved to find them. It's not as nice as the one in Beverly Hills, but it had a kitchen we needed. We'll some what. A tiny, more like half kitchen. One tiny 6 inch pan to cook on, no toaster, tiny trash can, no counter space. I feel like we are more like glamping. We are making do. 2 stars for the kitchen. Now, customer service here is fantastic. They take pride in cleanliness and still provide sanitizer throughout. 5 stars. They have a small bar right off the lobby as well. You can order food for your room. Place your order on provided door hanger by 2am and it will be ready for you in the morning. Parking is free, which I was surprised. They even offer a shuttle to Universal Studios. However, people book months in advance. Coming in at the last minute, we are on the waiting list for the shuttle. It's already full. Being less than 10 minutes away, it would be nice to have more shuttle drop-off times available. I believe they only have 2 or 3, then it goes to other destinations. The Safari next door is a sister hotel so they are shuttling then at the same time. You also schedule a pick-up time. The bed and pullout bed are both comfy. I was really impressed with the pull out mattress. Comfiest I've seen. The girls fell right asleep. I was going to give them 4 stars. However, 10pm, as I am writing this review, the people in the room next to ours just came in, and we can hear their their entire conversation along with their barking dog. Love the people and great it is pet friendly. Just know the ajoining doors between rooms are thin. The sister property next door has a laundry room with an ice maker and vending machines. I was able to do a load. They sell laundry soap in the vending machine. $2 for soap which I recommend bring your own due to scent. Right now it is $3 to wash and $3 to dry. Overall, this is a very pleasant place with great customer service. Very quiet if your neighbors are. Limited shuttle service, and lack of a proper kitchen. I was bummed they didn't offer 2 beds, but they are still so comfy. Honestly, I am comparing them to full apartment style resorts like Marriott and Hilton offer in our state. The surrounding area and cities here lack them. If we didn't need to reserve a room with a kitchen and over pay for what we got, I would give them 4 stars. 3 is not bad in my book at all. Before arrival, I gave them five stars. They have to earn the losses. Check in, no problem. Smell of the hallways, and my wife complaining about the scent in the room. If you are sensitive to scent, this is not the place for you. -1 star. We did get a room away from the street, however no room is away from the loud talking in the atrium center of the hotel. - 1/2 star. Bed way to high to sit on and get dressed-Almost needed a ladder to climb onto. - 1/2 star. Bed was uncomfortable-Perhaps we are used to our Purple at home, but wife complained about it- Minus 1/2 star. DO NOT STAY HERE. What a disgusting hotel. First of all, I booked a same day reservation during the wildfires. Not knowing where to go, this was the option given to me. I called a few hours later to cancel because the air quality in Burbank was no better. Realizing we are in a STATE OF EMERGENCY, I anticipated the hotel to use some common sense in handling situations during this sensitive time. Instead the person over the phone told me there's no canceling because of their policy. I asked what their policy was and he stated cancel 24 hours before arrival. I then informed him this reservation was made TODAY...so again, what's the cancellation policy and he replied "you can't cancel". I informed him I would be contacting my cc company. After I hung up, I received notification that they charged my card. I mean, honestly. THIS IS THE TIME YOU DECIDE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE?! Do not stay here. Do not support this hotel. We enjoyed our entire stay with Coast Anabelle from shuttle rides - pick up from the airport, rides to and from Universal Studios, and drop off back to the airport. They made our stay very easy to accommodate all our shuttle needs. You just need to reserve your timeslots as they are first come, first serve, as they serve their sister hotel across the street. The shuttle drivers were laid back and easy to talk 6 never made our rides awkward or uncomfortable. We also had the opportunity to meet Dennis at their hotel restaurant and bar. A fellow Niner fan...but really someone from the City (SF). He is their gem with a personality that will make you feel as if you've known him for years. We got to stroll down memory lane with him bringing back some childhood memories with Muni stories! It was comforting to make those connections with him. He was so funny and nice and treated our son as VIP, daily fist bumps and allowing him to play with Mr. Jazzman behind the bar. We stayed in their Junior Suite and it was perfect! read more

This was our first stay at the Coast Annabelle Hotel, located off West Olive Avenue in Burbank, during our two-night stay in May. This cozy establishment is within quick driving distance of Hollywood, Griffith Observatory, movie studios, theme parks, and other points of interest. Upon arrival, the building on the outside looked nice and quaint, with a bar and restaurant on-site. The entrance and lobby were exceptionally clean. My partner and I were greeted by the staff at the front desk. Our room facing the parking lot on the 2nd floor was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The large shower was really great, with a rainwater feature and a regular shower head as well. However, the way this hotel is set up, the hallways are open. So one walks out of your room and can look out at the reception area and other rooms. So noise travels fast and hard. They do offer a free shuttle bus to Universal Studios as well as Burbank Airport, but they recommend booking early. All the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. This was our first time staying here, chose to stay here because it's pretty close to Universal Studios. I would have to say that every staff member we interacted with was very nice, and helpful. Recently my wife had to organize a "Celebration of Life" event and was in search of an acceptable venue to host this gathering. After acquiring with some of the better known places in the area, and finding out that the locations that we had in mind had all been booked for the date that she was interested in, we remembered that we had attended a small event five years ago at the Coast Anabelle Hotel. My wife called The Coast Anabelle and was connected with Melanie and told her the date that she was interested in and that she was looking for a venue that could host approximately eighty guest. Right from the start Melanie was extremely helpful and provided my wife with the two positive answers that she needed to hear. Within a half an-hour of this phone conversation my wife and I had arrived at the Coast Anabelle and were meeting with Melanie, and it was at this time that she introduced us to Lourdes, another lovely Lady who oversees the catering operations at the location. They gave us a tour of the combined banquet rooms and answered all of our questions about everything that had to do with hosting this event. We knew that we had found the perfect location for what we had in mind and my wife went ahead and signed on the dotted line. A couple of days later we visited the hotel once again with a few technical questions and we were introduced to Jose and he was just as helpful as both Melanie and Lourdes had been with addressing our concerns. We are very pleased that the Celebration of Life that we organized occurred last Friday and it by FAR exceeded our expectations. We received several complements on the delicious food prepared by the restaurant staff and on the location itself. This hotel offers plenty of free parking and the banquet room is easily accessible from the parking lot. If you are interested in organizing a gathering of this size and working with a staff that is very helpful and accommodating it is our belief that you couldn't do any better than The Coast Anabelle Hotel. read more

Loved our stay! The space was very clean, in fact surprisingly exceeded our expectations. The lobby is very tidy, they've got hand sanitizer in the elevator so it's conveniently by the buttons (not just for Covid but great because people are gross), there are "clean seal" stickers on each door so you know your room is nice and ready, SPACIOUS showers, extra towels and linens which is rare nowadays and shampoo/conditioner/body wash was in its own holder within the gigantic shower so not just the travel sized bottles. They also have a shuttle service which can take you to the local attractions which came in handy. Our driver was so kind and friendly. 5/5 for this stay. read more

We stayed here after a really fun filled day at Universal Studios! The hotel is about 5-10 min drive to the park. This hotel has the best shower ever! The rooms were spacious with a mini fridge and comfortable beds. Free parking was a plus too. There's a restaurant and bar but we didn't make it in to see those. I'm only giving 4 stars because they gave us a room right behind the lobby desk and we could hear them talking and laughing all night. If you're at this hotel and you're looking for a ma' n pop pizza place, 10/10 recommendation for Pinball Pizza. read more

I'm really picky when it comes to hotels, I just want to be comfortable while away from home! My family really enjoyed our stay, no major complaints. Just a couple minute drive to universal, shopping and restaurants. The area was nice and the beds were comfortable. My only complaints are that the ac wasn't as cold as I like (I'm from arizona so I like ac ) but it wasn't bad, and the pool is across the street, which was a little weird. Overall, when we come back again I'll definitely be looking this place up first! read more

It was just ok. The room smelled weird but seemed clean. It was a small room (got 2 queen beds). Bathroom was nice. The lobby area is nice. The restaurant on site is super expensive. There is no microwave in the room or on site. Have to go across the street to the other hotel to use the microwave. No couch in room. The street traffic is loud. The elevator buttons seem hard to push and the elevator makes a weird noise when going up and it shakes. The parking is dark and scary. We parked right in front of the door so our car was ok. The neighborhood doesn't look the greatest. The shuttle van seatbelts were not all working but glad it had a shuttle, drivers were very nice. The hotel staff are nice. Wifi doesn't have a good signal. Not enough outlets in the room. The fridge was leaking and not keeping our food cold. They came and said it was on defrost and said it works now but it still did not keep our food cold. They came in our room to change sheets without us knowing. We had booked a two queen bedroom. We got to the hotel before check-in time (10:00 am) and went to ask if it was ok if we used their shuttle service. The front desk said yes and that our room was available to be checked into. The room was clean and spacious, only con was we faced the Main Street and it sounded pretty loud during the day but at night we didn't even notice it. The shower was nice - walk in shower with a rainfall shower head. Shuttle service is awesome! Saves you the $25 you spend for parking at Universal Studios and the drivers are kind. There were no hidden fees when we checked out, it was as stated when I booked the hotel online. As mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom, especially the shower, were huge! Parking was easy right in front of the entrance. The hotel staff were not making much effort to be welcoming. The hotel itself was clean, but the room had seen better days. The first thing I noticed was stained curtains and hair when I turned down the comforter. There was also mildew on the bathroom ceiling, and the carpet had seen better days. Definitely not a place where I was comfortable going barefoot and still felt gross in socks. I didn't find the bed or pillows remotely comfortable and the loud noises from the mini fridge kept me up. The location is great, but there are better options for the price point. read more

Pros: - Friendly staff. They quickly took care of our requests like extra towels and coffee. - Free shuttle service to Burbank Airport, Universal Studios. Our drivers were really nice and pointed out landmarks along the way. The shuttle is almost always on time. They text/call if they are stuck in LA traffic. They also didn't have a problem dropping me off at another local spot. - Updated, clean room. I enjoyed the second rainfall shower head. - Starbucks in-room coffee. - On-site restaurant is pretty good. Not the cheapest, but they give you a 10% coupon. Cons: - Pool is at their sister hotel across the residential street. - No housekeeping during three night stay. Understandable during pandemic, and better for environment anyway. Tips: - To reserve shuttle pickup/drop off, either call or use the chat on their website. Don't bother with the website's reservation form, which is laughably difficult to use. - VIP status when booked via Expedia. Free Evian and noon checkout, among other perks. - (courtesy our shuttle driver) Their sister hotel Safari Inn, across the street, is a historical landmark, appearing in many movies and TV shows. read more

We stayed at this hotel and were given a room right off the lobby on the first floor. The first night, it was quiet, no issues. We had an early flight the next day and the men in the bar/lobby were very loud until well past 1:00 AM. It was bad enough the adults were awake, I didn't want to wake my grandson, so I didn't call the desk to complain or open the door to holler at the desk clerk. In the morning I mentioned to the clerk how loud it was. He said, oh yes, he came on at 11:00 PM and they were so loud. Then he said I should have called. I said, I was hoping the clerk who knew there were guests in the room less than 25 feet away would have known to do something about the noise level. He replied, i never do anything about it unless someone complains. So, I'd recommend not staying at this hotel if you feel taking care of customers is only done if you complain. read more

We took advantage of the van to universal studios and thr van dropped us right at the entrance and saved is from paying parking. We did try the restaurant for breakfast it was delicious. read more

I've never left a hotel review before but this was a terrible experience. We booked a hotel room to take our kids for a trip to universal. At 2am I wake up to the heavy smell of smoke. At first I thought it had to be a fire because it was strong enough to wake me from sleep but it smelled like cigarettes only overwhelmingly strong. I call the front desk and the staff can smell it approaching our neighbors room from the hall so they move us down a floor to another room but the hotel staff didn't actually address the person smoking and because of the way the hotel is built all the halls are open air wrapping around a central open area and you just can't get away from the smell. Meanwhile I'm moving my kids in the middle of the night to a new room to try to get it a little better, it's taken a few hours to get the kids back down after the move, the sun is now risking and I've been up all night. I'm trying to imagine having some kind of enjoyable, non-meltdown filled day with the kids tomorrow on what was supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip to Universal (with our large family we spent over $1000 on tickets so we are locked into the day) on next to no sleep. read more
