    Great accommodations!

Rene, the engineer, was great! He identified the issue in my room and was able to resolve the problem quickly, with little interruption to my stay here. Love the customer service, I hope Colleen Langford recognizes what a great team they have here. As they are the reason I would consider staying at this hotel again.

If you are looking for a newly renovated hotel and one that is also part of the wonderful Marriott brand, this property is one to check out if you are visiting the area and especially if you are flying into Burbank Airport, as it is only one mile away. I visited this evening during their renovation celebration and you can definitely see and feel the "newness." It is located at the far end of the Empire Center in Burbank. In this center, you will find shops (Target, Walmart, Nordstrom Rack, Marshalls/TJ Maxx, & Sephora/Ulta) to name a few, and restaurants (Sharkys, Outback, Jamba, & Blaze Pizza) to name a few so you have a one-stop shop for all your needs during your stay. Some of the new features are: *a modern-designed Bistro serving Starbucks, Breakfast, & Dinner *Expanded bar serving craft cocktails & six rotating beers on tap *Robust Fitness Center with cardio and strength equipment including newly added space for floor exercises *1,800 square feet of customizable meeting &event spaces *Updated guest rooms that include mini fridges, 50" TVs with streaming ability, & high-speed Wi-Fi *Spacious outdoor patio with firepits and gazebo **Only 2 miles from Downtown Burbank where you will find more shops and restaurants, about a ~15 minute walk to Costco, & right across from the World Famous West Coast Customs Automobile Repair Shop Overall, it is a very nice property and in such a great location in the heart of all the entertainment studios.

I've stayed here a few times. Every time, it has been clean, well staffed, and comfy. The bar, breakast/dinner cafe, serve a decent meal. The drinks taste great. Tv's on sports. Staff is friendly. Directly across the street from West Coast Customs and next door to the Netflix Animation building.

We spent 2 nights here in a King Hospitality Suite when we did Universal Studios for weekend. This was the closest hotel that was available to the park (about a 10 minute Lyft drive) and for the 2 nights, it was sufficient. Since our flight got in at 8:30am Saturday morning, our room wasn't ready yet. We were able to leave all of our luggage at the front desk so that we could head straight to the park. We didn't get back until around 10:45pm that night and it was nice to be able to come home to a comfortable room. Here are a few things we loved about the room: * Ample space since there was a separate living room with pull out couch, TV + desk space to work. * 2 fridges (I don't know why they had 2 separate fridges but they did! Neither of them came stocked so no need to worry about getting the munchies and diving into overpriced snacks or drinks.) * Microwave (we didn't use this but it was nice to have it) * Separate bar sink that was in the living room. Since we had 4 people in the room, it was nice to be able to use the extra sink to wash up, brush our teeth, rinse, etc. * Separate pull out couch in the bedroom = 2 separate beds total (both twin sized) * 2 TV's-- one in the living room and one inside the bedroom * Easy sign into your Netflix account which Marriott always offers. * Clean room, clean shower, Comfortable king sized bed. Some things we didn't love: * Pull out couch mattresses were not comfortable at all. The mattresses were super thin and didn't offer any kind of support. These would be good for kids. * The shower head was placed a little too much to the left side of the wall and you couldn't adjust the shower head back to the middle. This left us all having to wedge ourselves to the shower wall so that we could properly rinse. Things we loved about the hotel: * Starbucks coffee at the restaurant in the morning. * Close distance to Universal Studios. * Super friendly staff that was very accommodating. We asked for 4pm checkout on the Monday that we left. After spending a 17 hour day at Universal Studios (Horror nights during the evening portion), we definitely needed to sleep in. Titanium members get the latest checkout at 4pm and they were more than happy to accommodate.

Barf! I had to stay here for a work conference and I so wish I would have booked the Marriott that is a mile away. The first day was good. They let me check in early before the conference and waived my parking fee (which is a pretty b.s. charge considering it is just parking in a standard lot), but after the first day the shine wore off. There is no continental breakfast, but there is a small cafe/Starbucks. The rooms are fine. Large bed and lounging sofa. They have the standard brown hotel furniture. Again, not the issue with this place...the issue is the cockroaches! I was dressing for the morning and found a small bug in my luggage. I initially thought "oh, great bed bugs." But as the day progressed and I reviewed the Yelp reviews for this place I am not convinced it was actually a small cockroach. Unfortunately, Yelp won't let me upload the video I took of the largest cockroach I've ever seen in my life running down the hallway, but I included a screenshot from the video. After seeing this I inevitably felt like bugs were crawling all over me for the rest of my stay. I slept with a towel blocking the gap between my door and the hallway. I expect more from a Courtyard. Would never stay here again.

Hospitality suite . 1 king 2 pull out ( shown here is one of the pull out sofa inside the bedroom )

Stayed here on a recent trip to Universal Studios. This hotel is close by to many major shops and restaurants and there's a Costco near by too. Only reason we chose this place was because it had a suite ( king bed plus 2 pull outs. One pull out sofa in the living room area and another pull out inside the bedroom where the king bed is located ) Here's the breakdown for Hospitality Suite: 1 king + 1 pull out sofa in a bedroom 1 pull out sofa in the living room 1 bathroom + 1 sink with a large counter space Microwave + fridge + 1 kitchen sink Space was very comfortable. If you need the beds made and towels replaced ( basically housekeeping services ) , please let them know the day before or upon check in so they can plan ahead. With covid, some guests prefer to not have anyone enter their room during the duration of their stay. Breakfast is not included however there is a café in the lobby. If you want to save money you can always bring your own breakfast or there is Krispy Kreme donuts just a couple minutes away. Overall this hotel is conveniently located and of course staff was friendly.

This is one of the main spots we choose to stay when traveling to SoCal and never really had any problems. Plenty of room for parking even though there is a parking fee and I feel safe that my car will be okay overnight here. The hotel itself has always been very nice and spacious and clean as well and the staff is friendly. No complaints!

All the amenities you need and overall a modern room that on e like to stay in. Most disappointing was the breakfast - uninspired boring selection of food. Very dry eggs. Very dry sausages - of course all at the time of me visiting and I was there an hour before closing so when they brought out "fresh" items it was still dry and simply overdone. Very disappointing. As always the coffee was good fresh and plenty. Would come back and stay again - luckily I'm not a huge breakfast person :) But this and the shower restrictions will take away one star from the rating.

If you are Asian, I strongly recommend you do not stay here. We arrived after a long trip with two young kids, completely exhausted -- the kind of exhaustion where you can barely stand or walk. We checked in and went up to our assigned room on the 3rd floor... only to find that someone was already inside the room. Let that sink in. We literally opened the door and found another guest already occupying it. That is not just unacceptable -- it is a serious safety issue. We went back downstairs, shocked and frustrated. While we were standing there waiting, the front desk guy was checking in another guest and was extremely friendly to her, smiling and handing her a bag of goodies -- while completely ignoring us, even though we were clearly waiting and had just reported a major issue. Then another staff member came over -- rude, cold, and with zero apology -- and simply clicked around on the computer and handed us a new room key like we were the problem. The replacement room was facing the freeway, and the noise was unbearable. We could not sleep at all. Between the dangerous room assignment, the complete lack of professionalism, and the blatant discriminatory behavior, this hotel deserves zero stars. I have stayed in many hotels -- this was by far the most disrespectful and disturbing experience. Avoid this place.

The clerk wasn't outright rude, but for the first several minutes seemed pretentious, like I wasn't good enough to stay there. He didn't introduce himself or ask my name; I introduced myself and asked his name after check-in, and he warmed up a bit. It felt like I'd caught him doing something wrong or arrived before he was ready. I had to ask multiple questions because he didn't offer information or engage. My customer service was on point--his, not so much. I'd been driving all day and was exhausted, wearing very casual clothes, but he felt very judgey. I asked to see the rooms after reading reviews. The first was rundown and not worth the $150 he quoted. He kept going into the back office between questions, implying he was busy or nearly full (there was only one car outside). When I asked to see the other side of the hotel, which had allegedly been updated, he bragged about being fully booked, though I only ever saw three cars. Odd. The second room was just okay, but I was too tired to find another hotel, so I stayed one night. Few things frustrate me more than visible neglect and lack of detail. There were drywall screw heads popping out, scuffed walls, holes, and water-damaged bathroom drywall from a poorly placed glass shower door--crumbling onto the floor. The floor itself was dirty. The outer entry door was peeling badly, shedding bits of clear coating onto the floor and my hands. The blinds appeared to not have been cleaned in months--which should be done regularly. The bed frame was filthy--dust, debris, bits of wrappers and food. It was clearly dirty, with oils, handprints, and dried liquids (I'll leave that to your imagination). The closet doors, off-white, had visible hand grime. The disinfectant wipes I used were brown - yuck. The lamp was dusty, an outlet near the bed had a broken metal piece stuck inside, and both the bathroom vent and hair dryer were caked with dust. The dryer filter hadn't been cleaned in ages. The countertop above the mini fridge was detaching, the bathroom shelf was decaying, and the shower glass hadn't been cleaned. The creamy drip marks on the wall--hopefully conditioner or soap--remained, and the grout was mold-stained. A simple bleach spray would've fixed it. The shower water pressure was awful, with calcification that needs vinegar soaking. It also leaked from the stem. Meanwhile, the sink had too much pressure. The cleaning staff were wonderful--always offering help. The issues here clearly stem from management, not staff. I realize this isn't a four-star hotel and that my standards are higher than average. Having worked in property management and emergency response, I've been in many homes across all conditions and know what "clean" should look like. I attached photos (which don't even capture all of it) so others can decide for themselves. Public beds and showers should be cleaned frequently so dust, germs, and bugs don't build up. The initial clerk did warm up by the end, and wasn't outright rude, just awkward and pretentious at first. When I checked out, a different man was working. He was extremely pushy, insisting I stay longer despite me saying I had to get back on the road. Then he handed me a clipboard and said it was mandatory to fill out--a sheet listing my name, room number, and space for comments, stacked under previous guests' notes. I told him I'd review the hotel online instead. He insisted I fill in each section, so under "comments" I wrote "review on Yelp." Other than being pushy, he was friendly--but it was an annoying end to a stay that wasn't worth the cost. Not the worst stay I've had, but definitely not one I'd repeat.
