It was originally a pop-up but has now secured a three-year commitment at the location through a city initiative. The initiative was meant to promote Black-owned businesses at prominent locations across the city. The store carries T-shirts, hoodies, pants, and hats at various price points. It's nice to see some retail options in addition to all the food establishments on Mass Ave. Because of the high foot traffic, I hope Nap Or Nothing does well and showcase what Indy has to offer.

When my mother was seriously ill, this Target became a go-to stress reliever when I'd visit her at Hendricks Regional in Danville. It was big enough here that I could get lost. It was friendly enough here that I could get connected. It was also well-stocked enough that I could easily get a few needed things at a time in life when I needed quick and convenient. Despite living very close to the Glendale Target, I frequented this one a lot. Flash forward to today. My father recently passed away and I'm spending a lot of time in nearby Putnam County. Yesterday, in particular, was a bit stressful as I began clearing out some more personal items and couldn't quite get through the emotions to clear my father's clothing. I decided to stop in Target for some friendly faces, stress relief, and a few items I knew I needed. First off, this is a Target SuperCenter. I sometimes forget that Glendale, while being large, is not a SuperCenter in anyway. This location has, I believe, three entrances. All entrances offer accessible parking, automatic doors, and easy accessibility. I do wish Target had some smaller carts (maneuvering large carts from a wheelchair is a hassle), but that's a minor deficiency. Too many people think the automatic carts are for wheelchair users - they're not. They're great for people who have difficulty walking long distances, however, for someone who stays in a wheelchair they're impractical. While I can get a little frustrated at Glendale for items they don't have, this Target tends to have them. There are exceptions - I was dismayed by the small quantity of V8 energy availability here and it's WAY less than Glendale. There were other food items where I'd look at them and think "That's all you have?" On the other hand, this Target is cleaner. It's better organized. The employees are friendlier (though still have a tendency to block aisles when stocking and be clueless when a wheelchair user comes by trying to get through. Here's your clue - move your cart.). I only needed a handful of items. I was able to find them, generally, quite easily. Employees were friendly. I used self-checkout - this is rare for me, but given my small order it worked well. The employee supervising it wasn't particularly interactive, however, it was fine. I've never used this store's online order or drive-up pick-up options. So, I can't give an opinion there. However, I was pleased with my in-store experience after a stressful day clearing out my father's home.

I want to recognize Brenda at Macy's in Greenwood Park Mall for truly exceptional service…read more What makes our experience so remarkable is that Brenda had already clocked out for the day when I approached her for help--I had no idea at the time. Instead of simply pointing us in the right direction, she stayed with us for at least another hour and a half to help my son find everything he needed. She sized him for a suit, helped us work through different fits and styles, and stayed with us as we selected a suit, at least six pairs of pants, four or five shirts, two ties, socks, and more. She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and kind throughout the entire process. My son was becoming quite overwhelmed by all of the choices, and Brenda recognized that and made the experience manageable for him. Without her help, we genuinely would have struggled to get everything accomplished. Employees like Brenda are what make customers want to return to a store. Staying that long after her shift to make sure we were completely taken care of was far beyond anything we expected. We are incredibly grateful for her kindness and dedication, and I sincerely hope Macy's recognizes Brenda for going so far above and beyond for us. Thank you, Brenda. We frequent Macy's a lot when needing to get clothes for occasions. They have multiple entrances, so parking usually isn't an issue here. The mall can get really busy during holidays, so it may be harder to find parking during these times. The entrance by the ladies/junior section has a women's restroom conveniently located by the fitting room. I have used this restroom often, and it's usually clean. Macy's sale racks are worth checking out. I found a cute sweater dress marked down for $22 that was on last act that I purchased. Original price was $80. I love a good sale. Fitting rooms are available in many of the departments, so that's never an issue. Most of the workers are helpful. This location also has a whole area for Macy's Backstage which is more clearance/marked down items. I found a pair of boots that were my size for $5, but unfortunately they were too tight so I decided not to purchase.

The girl who rang me out looked like she'd just lost her best friend, and the ones meandering through the store and restocking the merchandise acknowledged the customers with a monotone "Hi-how-are-you" when they arrived and "Thank-you-have-a-nice-day" when they left. I think the most expensive necklaces there are about $12, and I have found lots of great ones for less than $10. If the Forever 21 brand scares you a little because you think you'll end up looking like a wannabe teenager, don't worry about it - the accessories you'll find at For Love 21 are pretty versatile, so you can put them together with the right outfit and still look age-appropriate.
