On this visit, it was the first time that I also purchased shoes and inserts. I've been buying inserts online and have been happy with them, and Walking Company is comparable in price and quality. First you walk across a pad on the floor that measures your pressure points and determines what custom insert you need. Then you pick out your shoes. The staff put your inserts in for you and you're on your way. There are two levels of inserts. One is free and the deluxe is $30 but it is supposed to last longer than the free insert. It's worth upgrading. You also can take the inserts out of your shoe and put them into any other shoes you own, so that's an extra bonus. The staff are very friendly and helpful all around.
