This place is one of the last OG Chandler Mall stores. I love it and hope they are around for many more years to come.

Great little store with a nice selection of merchandise to choose from. The staff are friendly, and help keep this location fun to shop around at. Probably my favorite location, and my favorite place to shop in general. I appreciate how efficient they are when I stop by to pick up my orders, and that they are communicative of what sales are ongoing. I purchase t shirts, joggers, dresses and other little things from this store, and the quality and value is always notable. Will definitely keep coming back. read more

There hasn't been reviews for this hot topic for a while so I'll update you. Lots of official licensed figures, a wall of funkos, and shirts. You can find accessories of different brands like Sanrio and Halloween movies. There are tons of t-shirts here that are really cool. They also have popular manga here like spy x family, jujitsu Kaisen, demon slayer, etc. in the front of the store they have aot and demon slayer merch and in the back they have goth clothes. I ran around all morning trying to find a new Wu Tang t-shirt because my old one is just that - OLD. I had gone into a different Hot Topic and they had the shirt I wanted but not the right size. I called this location and spoke with Chris two times. Once to see if they had it and again to see if they would hold on to it. I bought the different size at the first store since they were having a sale and then drove over to this location. When I got there, I asked if I could possibly swap the sizes instead of having to buy two of the same shirt. Chris was so nice and said absolutely. It made me happy that they simply let me do the exchange. Bonus: The shirt was cheaper there so I scored some pop-rocks too! Thanks Chris for holding the shirt and doing the exchange for me! My daughter and I experienced very good customer service while trying to locate certain sizes in the tees she wanted to purchase. Freddie, Sai and Madison were all so helpful in finding answers to our questions. We spent an hours and forty five minutes in this Hot Topic store at Chandler Fashion Mall and left happy with our purchases. No doubt, my daughter will be asking me to take her here again. read more

I love Hot Topic because of the way they keep up on pop culture & the latest trends in movies, music, & fandoms of all kinds. The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 is because of how cluttered & cramped their store looks & is. There is very minimal space to walk around & check things out. I was squished walking around in there today, granted it was Black Friday, but still. If they could either expand or find a larger store space to house themselves in, I would give them a higher ranking. read more

3 star store... NOT SHOCKED... TERRIBLE customer service! Per covid restrictions, they have you stop at the store entrance, this is told to you by a sign, I wait patiently for an employee that is across the store to let me in; mind you, I could have just ignored the sign and walked in. An employee finally reaches the door and first thing she says is " WE CLOSE AT 7, which is in ONE minute so do you know what you're going to get?"....umm no. I am shopping around like anyone else at the mall... she didn't let me in, instead closed the door.. I will be taking my business somewhere else because of this rude employee... I didn't get her name but she had glasses and short orange hair? 5 minutes in the store probably would not have inconvenienced you anymore than the customer you had to let out because you closed the door so quickly! read more

Oh Hot Topic...every time I am at the mall I am compelled to make my way into your overly cluttered store to see that you have an elaborate array of Pop Vinyl's, over-priced chotsky memorabilia, and clothes to ensure one's virginity for life. Why is the theme of this store clutter? Why not tone down the Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and Doctor Who Ugg boots? Does anyone even like this stuff anymore? read more

This Hot Topic location has a pretty good selection of unique gifts and accessories. They currently have a nice line of Disney jewelry and apparel that isn't so little girlish and I found some great gifts for Christmas here. I also was able to find some nice rock t-shirts for Christmas gifts but I do wish they had more metal selection. Some of the merchandise I was looking for was shoved in a little corner of the store and right when I was going to pick something out of this little corner an associate came over and plopped a ladder directly in front of me. I told him that I needed something from behind the ladder and he didn't even look down at me but just told me it would be a minute. I would have been fine with that but it was the way that he spoke to me that I had a problem with. Note to staff: Be more aware of where your customers are shopping and do not place a ladder directly in front of merchandise, it could not have been that pressing that it had to be done that minute. Customer service comes first. I chose not to purchase that item after that. Any how, the cashier who checked out my purchases was much more friendly and he saved my experience here. He asked me about my selections and had a nice conversation with me about one of the band tee's I had picked out. He also gave me a coupon for a future purchase. Overall, if you are looking for band tee's and other unique niche apparel and jewelry this is a decent place to find it. They do need to work on customer service skills but I will be back in the future. read more

Lots of 'life is pain' type people, but friendly. My son wanted to go in there to look around for a shirt. I really liked their level of customer service. The guy that helped us was very friendly and joked around with us. He was suggesting some other shirts for my son and even went to the back to bring out some new stuff that hadn't hit the floor yet because they were all out of the shirt he wanted. read more

Just left hot topic after being there for maybe 14 mins tops. Went with my family 3 kids and my wife, obviously there's 5 of us. Everytime I've been to this location, I stand in line and wait for my turn no rush at all never complain. But after 14 mins of looking around and being asked 40 times if I'm good by the same person, he then proceeds to tell me "hey there's a little bit of a line forming outside, so I'm not rushing you but kind of rushing you if you need help looking for anything let me know" awful service. I wouldn't rush anyone at my job and never would and prob wouldn't rush him either if he came in. Regardless of occupancy in store. If the case is there being a time limit in the store you should let all customers know, not just the 5 family size people so you can clear up your store to let others in like I'm not also trying to spend money. Today is 09/21/20, I walked in at about 12:48 pm and left the store at 1:02pm. So thank you Chris for making me and my family feel welcomed, who helped me in the store who's a manager or assistant manager not sure which one he is. read more

I am severely disappointed in this store. i went here the other day with my boyfriend Jason to look at some shirts and some new piercings for me since i knew they were reasonably priced there. i walk in and they don't really greet us they just stand there and talk amongst themselves. my boyfriend is in the t-shirt section and i select a pair of rings that i like and go to jason. one of the workers comes up to me hand in face saying i'll take those from you and i'm quite confused and told her i was buying them and kept being rude and giving me looks until i realized she thought i was stealing. i felt quite offended and decided to leave the store. read more

I was shopping for sunglasses online when I ran across a pair from Hot Topic that I really liked. Instead of buying them online I called into the store to see if they had any in stock, they did which was awesome and said they would put a pair on hold for me! I work about 50 hours a week and live 25 minutes away from the mall so getting over there usually only happens once every couple of months. I made the trip specifically to pick up the glasses and then made my way back home. As I got home I realized the sensor was still on the sunglasses but wasn't sure if it was one I could take off myself or had to have them remove. I had already thrown away the receipt and bag because I loved the glasses so much I knew I wasn't returning them. The next day I called and asked if the sensor had to be removed in store and she said "Oh ya that has to be removed in store, just make sure you have your receipt or we can only assume it was stolen". I told her I hadn't kept my receipt because I liked the sunglasses so much and after describing what the employee looked like who checked me out she said "Ok you can bring them in tonight and I will remove it". I told her it was completely inconvenient for me to go out there and I didn't know when I would be able to make it back out there and all she could say was "Oh sorry I don't know what to tell you". ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. It is the business' responsibility to remove something such as sensors in the store, it is not the customers job to prompt the employee to do so. The fact that she inferred that I may have stolen them and offered nothing for the inconvenience was just mind blowing to me. I've shopped at Hot Topic for little things here and there but I will most likely never shop there again because they don't care about their customers. read more

Very rude employees!!! One employee was very disrespectful to me when I was trying to purchase a few shirts. He had no respect and was very impatient. He was making me feel very uncomfortable when I was looking for the shirts he just stood behind me the whole time giving dirty looks and sighing. read more
