Never going back. I went there a year or two ago to have embroidery done on a parka. I was told…read morerudely that the parka had perfume on it and it needed to be washed. I told her my daughter doesn't where perfume. She insisted I had to wash it. I stay calm, but I was mad and offended. I washed it and brought it back, only because this was the only place with a team patch. I was given the choice of front and back embroidery. My daughter chose the front and the lady stated if she wants the back done then bring it back. Well today I brought it back to have the back embroidered. The same lady stated she couldn't do it, because the parka was used. I told her I was told they would do the job. She asked who and I said someone knowing full well it was this rude lady who told me a year ago. She then goes on and tells me she can't do it, because it could ruin her machine and if I have a disease it can be transferred. I couldn't believe what she said and was appalled. She just insulted me and my family. Then she starts saying its against the law. I just ignored her comments and asked if I could by the patch. She said no. I could tell she didn't want to sell it to me. If its true and you can't sow it on once the jacket is used then tell people upfront that they can't bring it back. Teams and parents stay away. You might have a disease also. The only disease is this business. Disgusting. Oh and come to think of it, my daughter has a letterman jacket. Once she wears it, it is also used but they still embroider through the years. Saying that then you must be lying to me about not being able to sow on a patch. After telling my family about the disease comment they also will be telling friends not to come to this place. You basically said I was a dirty filthy animal. Thanks for nothing.

Said With Threads - dirty blazer

Eileen, while a nice person, is utterly incompetent and unreliable. If you consider yourself a busy…read moreperson who needs someone to perform alterations within a specified time frame, AVOID Said with Threads and strongly consider going elsewhere. Her inability to properly schedule appointments and have projects completed on time disqualifies "Said with Threads, LLC" as a viable option for having clothing alterations performed. If you are an East Bay resident and need alterations performed, please read the rest of this review before scheduling an appointment with this establishment. I've been going to Eileen since December 2024. Online reviews looked good, and her shop was near my house, which made it convenient for me. I encountered an odd issue with her during my first visit. She had informed me my pants were ready for pickup, and I specified the day/time I would be coming in. When I went to her shop for pickup, I called, and she informed me she had gone to deliver an order for someone else because she didn't think I would appear on time. I was completely baffled as to why she reached this conclusion and why she admitted it verbally. Between September and October 2025, I had requested that she perform alterations on some pants. On this occasion I was charged the day I left the articles with her and was assured they'd be ready on the date she had specified. Prior to picking them up, I called Eileen and informed her I was on my way. When she answered, she told me my pants were not ready and that she hadn't even started working on them. I was quite upset over this since more than a week had passed since I'd left the pants with her. About a month later, I brought in a blazer she had worked on previously and asked her to reattach the buttons, as some of them had come loose. Although she did not charge me for this, she assured me the blazer would be ready on time. She failed to have the blazer ready on time when I went to her shop. I went to go run some errands for about an hour, and when I came back, she had finished working on my blazer. This indicated that she did not need more than a week to work on my blazer and had procrastinated or otherwise failed to make good use of her time. What frustrated me, however, was the condition in which she returned my blazer. It was covered in lint/hair/debris and had a strange odor to it. I had dry-cleaned it prior to leaving it with Eileen, and her utter lack of regard for keeping it clean really upset me. Most recently, during December 2025, I requested an appointment two days in advance. I wanted her to hem some pants I needed for work. She had agreed to meet me at 11 am on a Wednesday. On the day of the appointment, I called her to let her know I had arrived. When she answered, she told me she had mistakenly marked my appointment for a different time/day and had left to attend to another client.

I really want to give this place a 5 star review because Eileen is so sweet/friendly... but this…read morewas the one and only thing that made me cry throughout the entire wedding planning process :'( Three months before my wedding, I brought my dress in for my initial consultation and price quote. I found Said With Threads through a Facebook wedding page and Yelp (all with good reviews!). Eileen doesn't uncharge for weddings so her price was much more reasonable compared to other bridal boutiques. Another reason I chose her was because her shop was close by, only a ~10 minute drive away. Initially, the plan was to have the dress done in 3-4 visits but it ended up being a total of 10 (!!!!) appts... literally up until the week before leaving for my wedding. It was soooo stressful going into each appt because it was always a gamble on whether or not the dress had been changed/fixed since the last appt. In addition, EVERY TIME that the dress was too tight, she asked if it was because I was bloated/swollen from being on my menstrual cycle.. even when I'm not (not sure if it's just me but I find that to be lowkey rude lol) 6/21 - initial consult 7/9 - first fitting, measured and pinned 7/16 - waist too tight, cut hem 7/30 - waist still too tight, uneven hem 8/4 - cancelled due to covid 8/24 - still the same waist tightness, she noticed I was upset so she planned/pinned the bustle 8/28 - waist slightly looser but still tight, bustle uneven 9/3 - nothing done because she thought the appt was the next day 9/4 - tightness around the waist still the same, shoulder straps uneven, I requested to see the dress with the bustle undone and I noticed that the hem was way too long when the bustle was let down 9/9 - waist feels even tighter, I had to recommend her to measure my waist with my regular clothes on for comparison 9/10 - dress fits well, she fixed some slightly loose fabric under one armpit when I pointed it out but OMG FINALLY DONE!!!

When searching online not many places do embrodiery on driver caps or they were overpriced. I inquired online and got in contact with the owner Edgar. He told me to bring my driver cap in so they could take a look and see what they could do. I came to the shop with the driver cap that I had purchased on Amazon and the owner Edgar said they would be able to do it for which I was excited about and for a good price. I'm so glad I was found Graphic Affect to help me out. Edgar provided his recommendations on the font, color, and design to make the names show up nicely. I had 10 caps that I needed emobrodiered within a week of my wedding. Edgar and his team were able to get the embroidery done just in time for the wedding! Highly recommend! Such a wonderful studio!…read more Came across the studio after having breakfast in the area because I've started needle felting. Found parking conveniently right in front in the street since it was a quiet day out. I was looking for wool roving which she didn't have, however, she was so kind to explain the difference between the types of material and she showed me the correct type of yarn she did have that I'd be able to pull apart with my carding brushes! She had a lot of equipment to use for yarn crafts and it was great to see the variety of product inside. Apparently she holds craft nights and such too which I'm planning on looking into. Prices here were sooo much better than all the places I've found online which is also have to pay extra for shipping. She also even rolled the yarn into a ball for me before we left. Hopefully they'll have wool roving here soon, but I'm thankful for the yarn we were able to purchase for my current projects :) The best part -- her dog Jasper kept us company throughout our whole experience there and he is the absolute cutest cuddle bug! Can't wait to come back.

I honestly cannot believe I had never heard of this place before, especially living here in Fremont. The studio is adorable, clean, and very well set up for kids' activities and parties. We had a private room for the kids to do their activities, enjoy pizza, and have cake, and everything felt easy and well organized from start to finish. The staff was wonderful and made the whole experience feel seamless. We will definitely be back with our kids.

After waiting for a while an associate comes out and roughly explains what the process is and disappears again- fine by me but I know a fist timer would be pretty confused. The color selection is very poor. They have a row of colors just plain colors, much less than what I've seen other places. The pottery options are also pretty lackluster and pricey for what they are. The positive part of this rating goes to the lovely associate that helped us the first time. She was lovely and kind, but my overall frustration that led me to this overall rating was picking up my pottery today. Again was not very fully and I see a line of people at the front. Cool I get it. But the associate had not a single sense of urgency in her. She just slowwwwwwly walked to the back looked around slowwwwly came back. Once it was my turn she didn't even ask why I was here just stared at me so I told her I was picking up and she asks for a picture of the item..? Wtf? Not even a name phone number or email that they require when dropping off my items but a picture? I had to scroll and find them. Once I show her she's like..ok when were you here? Geez do you want my outfit details that day too? How ridiculous. They need a better sorting system I saw her looking around and several pieces. Then she sloooowwlly comes over to me and dumps my plates on a table nearby and some crumpled bags next to it and just says "ok you can look at them" and leaves to the back again. Frustrated I get my pieces and dip. I don't know if it's because I've been to muuuuch better where they also treat me better. But this place was such a let down. Also picky side note the music they put sucks.
