Needed to get two tops custom embroidered so I came to Turtleworks for the first time to get it done. The storefront is a bit confusing to find if you haven't been before because their suite is located inside an office area. You have to pass a set of glass doors and then turn a corner to get to their shop. If the door is closed, just call the number on the door and they'll let you in. When I dropped off my tops, I talked to an employee who noted down my design and information. I ended up paying $15 per top which I believe is quite reasonable. Their turnaround was really fast too; both of my items were ready for pick-up 2 days later. I initially contacted them via email regarding their services and overall their communication is quick and clear. Sherry and her team are very swift and kind. She told about how her shop supports individuals with special needs which I think is great. Would highly recommend! read more

Wow!! Sherry and her team at Turtleworks TOTALLY came through for us!! I needed to get 12 kids aprons embroidered in only about two or three days. I found turtleworks on yelp, and with all the wonderful reviews trusted them completely. I reached out to Sherry and we discussed what I needed. I had enough confidence in her that I just bought and shipped the aprons from Amazon and knew we'd figure out the rest. We found a wonderful design on Etsy that Sherry downloaded and did. The aprons turned out absolutely marvelous! The kids totally loved them. read more

I highly recommend Turtleworks for your embroidery needs! I got my scrubs tops embroidered here. The owner of the business, Sherry, is very sweet and friendly. She takes care to ensure that all of your preferences are addressed. She showed me different options of fonts, sizes, and thread color. The turnaround time was quick (approximately one week). The pricing is very affordable compared to other embroidery shops in the area! I got quotes from multiple business and this was the best deal. The location can be a little difficult to find. It is inside of the building to the right of the optometrist's office. Sherry also has a wonderful mission of uplifting individuals with special needs. I am happy to support her small business. read more

Sherry & her team did a great job embroidering my swimsuit with my new last name! Best customer experience, ever! I was looking for a place that would take a single embroidery order and they were the only place I found that didn't over charge for a simple name embroider. What I didn't expect was the hospitality and care that I received when I came into their office to drop off my blanket. Sherry helped pick the font and made sure it matched the color wanted. They even left an impression on my 4 year old who had a fun experience while we were there. They also have a beautiful mission that helps employ individuals with special needs that inspires and builds their skills in the workplace. I love it! I was looking for an embroider for a custom design logo I wanted embroidered on a batch of windbreakers jackets. I only had a sample windbreaker but did not have the actual image set up. I looked at all the high rated Yelp-reviewed embroidery shops but settled on Turtleworks based on reviews. After meeting with Sherry in person and explaining what I wanted done, Sherry took the time to explain to me what the process would be since I did not have a design image for her to work off of. I noticed that Turtleworks was very clean inside, tidy, and organized. I appreciated Sherry's calm and professional demeanor. Sherry was able to do the design image set up for me and ran a sample for me to examine. We decided to change the thread colors slightly that highlighted the design better. After I approved the change in thread colors Sherry ran my batch of jackets. She explained she only did one at a time, not running all of them simultaneously on all the machines as I assumed. Sherry took the time to explain that sometimes the material can shift during the embroidering process. My batch of jackets came out significantly better than my original (NOS) jacket's logo. The colors are more vibrant and the stitching is noticeably tighter than mine, lending to more detail in the design. The logo on the back of the jacket is ~ 12" wide so the thread count was high. I felt Sherry's pricing was very reasonable, especially her having to set aside time to create my image set up. If I could rate Turtleworks with 6 stars I would. read more

I contacted Sherry a few days before Christmas about embroidering a blanket for an anniversary gift. Though it was supposed to be her last day before the holidays, she took my request and waited past her normal closing hours for me to come in and talk about the design. I told her what I wanted the embroidery to say and she gave e suggestions on font, placement, size, and mocked up a design. Sherry finished my blanket in one day and even gave me a Christmas thank you gift! I highly recommend her business! She is knowledgeable, patient, and sweet, on top of that her business helps people on the community who are autistic. read more

I WISH I COULD GIVE SHERRY 10000 STARS. If you need anything embroidered, by someone who is quick kind and caring Sherry is your woman. I contacted Sherry and she got back to me in just a few hours, I only gave her just days turn around to embroider my stole last minute. Not only did she agree to do it so fast, for such an important affordable price but she finished it within less than 24 hours. Upon arrival to Sherry's studio, she took the time to individually ask me all the details that I wanted and take me to the computer where she showed me exactly how everything would look, I was able to choose specific fonts look at sizing change anything I needed to and double check spelling. After designing on the computer she printed out the design and placed it on the stool to make sure that it looks perfect. After that we looked at the thread colors together and compare them to find the perfect one to match what was already embroidered on my stole. Sherry is kind, patient, organized, extremely Covid safe and most of all she cares about your event and making it special through her gift of embroidery. A final reason that this is an important business to support is that Sherry dedicates her time to giving back to youth with special needs. Every summer Sherry partners with the local high school district and a allows youth with special needs to receive free training in the embroidery business. This includes the computer work, communicating with customers, the embroidery itself and everything in between. Sherry believes that she can use her business as a platform to provide awareness and job opportunities for youth with disabilities as a transition from high school into the workforce. She recognizes that youth with disabilities are often under represented, marginalized, and left without any life skills opportunities after high school. Sherry has upheld her business during this pandemic and also managed to give back in such a big way. Supporting this business will not only guarantee you satisfaction with any item you have embroidered but it will allow you to be a part of a bigger cause. At Sherry's office she had multiple different projects going on, she was embroidering hats for a Boba shop she was embroidering bags and everything in between. Clearly, there's nothing Sherry can't do or accomplish what does that be a large group order or an individual rushed order like mine. Thank you Sherry for your kindness and your expertise. read more

I was fortunate to come across Turtleworks. We were getting 3 of our Boombah bags embroidered with name and numbers. Drove from Oakland to Cambell to drop off a project that had been discussed. The shop was closed and had a phone number to call. I called the number and it went straight to voicemail. I left a VM and called a few more times, even staying near the area for an hour. They never returned my call or email. Very frustrating as they said to come by during office hours (no appointment). I would not go here without a confirmed appointment, and even then, I wouldn't trust them to keep it. I ended up going to a shop in San Francisco that was open, responsive, and fast. Did quick, high-quality work too. Updated to 2 stars bc owner called very apologetic. Apparently she was overseas and her staff only works in the morning. I still feel strongly this must be communicated in advance. read more

I needed some embroidery work done and found Turtleworks on Yelp. I loved what they do as a company, aside from embroidery work, so I was excited to work with them. They were very easy to work with. The order was done online. I picked the jackets I wanted, I uploaded the design I wanted stitched along with specific directions, locations, colors, etc. and paid for it and bam done. There was additional communication after because they didn't have exact colors but they were able to find something similar. Since I lived close to this business they were able to deliver the jackets to my house. I will definitely be using them again, as I wish I made a jacket for myself! read more

So I ordered off Amazon, patches for my service dog's vest after we became certified. Unfortunately the quality was poor and the letters rubbed off. We found Turtleworks on Yelp! while needing to get some bags embroidered. After my husband spoke with her at length about what he needed and got quotes, we visited the shop to drop the bags. Tucked away in a shopping complex, it's a work house of an office that is Turtleworks. Wow! What an amazing embroidery machine with all the bells and whistles. Sherry ( owner) sat down with us and let us choose our preferred font size, color and location plus a couple of bags we used a custom logo we emailed here. In just a few minutes, she gather all the info she needed to make the magic . Flash forward to this week, our bags are completed and we are so happy with the results. The custom logo looks better than we imagined. The letter and number we requested look impressive upon our bags. Our bags will never be mistaken for anyone else's again. Great for gifts of all sorts. I found Turtleworks by browsing Yelp and Google Reviews and I was instantly interested in the company and its mission. Sherry was so nice and easy to communicate with. When I met with her to discuss my embroidery needs for a few jackets, she took the time to sit down with me and do a mock up of what I wanted. If we determined the size font was too big or a different font would be better, she quickly edited it in her computer system and reprinted a new mock up. It was also great to hear from Sherry about how the company started and its mission. The turnaround was quick and I am so pleased with how my jackets turned out.
