The storefront is a bit confusing to find if you haven't been before because their suite is located inside an office area. You have to pass a set of glass doors and then turn a corner to get to their shop. If the door is closed, just call the number on the door and they'll let you in. When I dropped off my tops, I talked to an employee who noted down my design and information. I ended up paying $15 per top which I believe is quite reasonable. Their turnaround was really fast too; both of my items were ready for pick-up 2 days later. I initially contacted them via email regarding their services and overall their communication is quick and clear. Sherry and her team are very swift and kind. I was looking for an embroider for a custom design logo I wanted embroidered on a batch of windbreakers jackets. I only had a sample windbreaker but did not have the actual image set up. I looked at all the high rated Yelp-reviewed embroidery shops but settled on Turtleworks based on reviews. After meeting with Sherry in person and explaining what I wanted done, Sherry took the time to explain to me what the process would be since I did not have a design image for her to work off of. I noticed that Turtleworks was very clean inside, tidy, and organized. I appreciated Sherry's calm and professional demeanor. Sherry was able to do the design image set up for me and ran a sample for me to examine. We decided to change the thread colors slightly that highlighted the design better. After I approved the change in thread colors Sherry ran my batch of jackets. She explained she only did one at a time, not running all of them simultaneously on all the machines as I assumed. Sherry took the time to explain that sometimes the material can shift during the embroidering process. My batch of jackets came out significantly better than my original (NOS) jacket's logo. The colors are more vibrant and the stitching is noticeably tighter than mine, lending to more detail in the design. The logo on the back of the jacket is ~ 12" wide so the thread count was high. I felt Sherry's pricing was very reasonable, especially her having to set aside time to create my image set up. If I could rate Turtleworks with 6 stars I would. read more

I contacted Sherry a few days before Christmas about embroidering a blanket for an anniversary gift. I contacted Sherry and she got back to me in just a few hours, I only gave her just days turn around to embroider my stole last minute. Not only did she agree to do it so fast, for such an important affordable price but she finished it within less than 24 hours. Upon arrival to Sherry's studio, she took the time to individually ask me all the details that I wanted and take me to the computer where she showed me exactly how everything would look, I was able to choose specific fonts look at sizing change anything I needed to and double check spelling. After designing on the computer she printed out the design and placed it on the stool to make sure that it looks perfect. After that we looked at the thread colors together and compare them to find the perfect one to match what was already embroidered on my stole. Drove from Oakland to Cambell to drop off a project that had been discussed. The shop was closed and had a phone number to call. I called the number and it went straight to voicemail. I left a VM and called a few more times, even staying near the area for an hour. They never returned my call or email. Very frustrating as they said to come by during office hours (no appointment). I would not go here without a confirmed appointment, and even then, I wouldn't trust them to keep it. I ended up going to a shop in San Francisco that was open, responsive, and fast. Did quick, high-quality work too. Updated to 2 stars bc owner called very apologetic. Apparently she was overseas and her staff only works in the morning. I needed some embroidery work done and found Turtleworks on Yelp. I loved what they do as a company, aside from embroidery work, so I was excited to work with them. They were very easy to work with. The order was done online. I picked the jackets I wanted, I uploaded the design I wanted stitched along with specific directions, locations, colors, etc. and paid for it and bam done. There was additional communication after because they didn't have exact colors but they were able to find something similar. We found Turtleworks on Yelp! while needing to get some bags embroidered. After my husband spoke with her at length about what he needed and got quotes, we visited the shop to drop the bags. Tucked away in a shopping complex, it's a work house of an office that is Turtleworks. Wow! What an amazing embroidery machine with all the bells and whistles. Sherry ( owner) sat down with us and let us choose our preferred font size, color and location plus a couple of bags we used a custom logo we emailed here.
