Revisited after I recovered the flu & it was the first real meal I had in days & was amazing even with the 100° weather outside. Service was great, I got the lamb hotpot with a side of extra tofu. Came with my husband and per their policy it is $3.99 for sharing a pot fee but it includes unlimited drinks which makes it totally worth it. Loved their sauce so much as well, we got a jar to take home. Will definitely be back.
Love the option to diy a pot and pay by weight or just order a pot that's on the menu. Seems like the pot from the menu has a lot of ingredients so would be more worth it if you're not too picky about the ingredients it comes with already. The flavors are great and love that you can choose your soup for the diy pot. It's also great that it comes with unlimited drinks and they have a great variety of drinks to choose from.
Today we had lunch at Hot Pot Mini It's our second time visiting, and we really like it! The food is delicious, prices are reasonable, and they even offer unlimited free tea with boba of your choice We'll definitely be back soon
Came with 7 friends and we had good time! Just a heads up if you come with a large group everyone will get their food at different times. I got mine last and half of them were done eating by then. Everyone's food (without drink) came out to be around $20. Mine with a drink came out to $33.
One of my family's go to spots in the Ontario area! Building our own hot pots is always so much fun, and I love how everyone can get a meal customized to their tastes and preferences, with preset options too. The BYO boba bar also looks cool, though I've never tried it. I liked how the hot pots are served on the burners so that the food and broth stays warm and fresh throughout the entire meal, unlike most malatang places that serve it in a bowl. We've celebrated a birthday here and the service was spectacular- refrigerating and bringing out the cake and providing a lighter, plates, and forks for us to enjoy it.
This place has a family owned small restaurant vibe, the family was SOOOOO nice, sweet, and attentive. Every single staff member The food wad good, quality hot pot. The broth, the items, it was a good amount and tasted quality. Their all you can drink boba was also really good. Boba soft and chewy but not too sweet and the drinks were actually good quality tea for all you can drink I was surprised. Better than quickly or other all yoy can drink boba places it was not too sweet and the tea flavor was strong and yummy! 12/10, will recommend and will be back! Please support this adorable family restaurant so they can expand and add more themed decor to this cute place!
This is one of my first times leaving a review because I normally only do in a really good or really bad situation. And this place is SOOOOO good. I their broths are amazing and all food is cooked to perfection! You have a choice between build your own (which i got) or a pre-set pot for people looking to try some new things. Our pots were cooked super fast which was perfect after getting our drinks. WHICH ARE ALL YOU CAN DRINK!! As someone who drinks more tea than eats rice, this just became my favorite spot. Our pots were surprisingly cheap, the lady told me the system accidentally charged me extra and when i saw the price. Thats how much i originally anticipated spending, so seeing our check being so cheap for such high quality food was so amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough for both adventurous eaters & picky eaters!
I liked it. A slightly different kind of hot pot place. You can either build your own pot and you'll be charged by the weight. Or they have a nice choice of preset hot pots. They put a little flame canister under the pot to heat it up. Unfortunately there's no way to turn it down so if it gets too hot you can just ask them to put the flame out. My friends made their own, but I got the preset Lamb hot pot. It was good! A good portion amount. I finished it but I can see 2 lighter eaters sharing one pot. The broth was very tasty. I only got the mild but it still had a little spice to it. Will probably get medium next time. They also have a neat little boba station where you can make your own. Will definitely be coming back to try more. Nice to see more hot pot options in the IE. Inside was simple. A few tables for seating but still a good place for small groups. Service was good. Friendly staff. Easy parking in the shopping center lot.
This is a good place to create your own hot pot and boba drink. This time we got the sukiyaki and the miso hot pots with 3 create your own drinks. The combo man was about $20 a person which was ok. The create your boba is a great value as the drink was pretty big and you could mix and match your toppings and drinks. The hot pot was pretty standard and would meet your craving for it. They had two different doing sauces that enchanted the flavor or of the meats and vegetable.
Hot Pot Mini Workshop was a cool experience but nothing that really wowed me. This place is similar to Boiling Point, Tasty Pot, Red Flame, and ZZ Hotpot. The only difference is that you can build your own. You can choose the ingredients that goes in it or you can just pick one of their creations. We choose to make our own. All of their ingredients are located by the register. They had most veggies and most of the popular meatballs. For meats, I remember them having pork, beef, fish, and shrimp. Many of the items were frozen. They also had ramen and your meal comes with either rice or vermicelli. There is a minimum order of one pound. A pound is $16.99. I had a hard time filling up my bowl because a pound was much more than I can eat. But I took quite a bit home after I was full. There were a variety of broths to choose from and you can pick your level of spiciness. I went with the Taiwanese spicy flavor with mild spice. It was good but I wish I got it spicier and I wish it had a little more flavor. The pork and beef meat I got were chewy and tasted too lean for my liking. But everything else was cool. Pricing was affordable. Oh, and they do charge extra if you want more rice. Our food came out quick after being cooked. They bring it out to you with a flame underneath that they can put out if you like. Parking was easy since there is a lot out in front.

Restaurant is very cute and cozy! It's like a subway but for hotpot and boba! You can make a diy hotpot or choose a pre made one from the menu. My girlfriend and I came here for our weekly date night. The place is gay friendly ! We were treated very well and felt safe and comfortable. Our server explained everything to us. For a diy hotpot you must fill a large metal bowl with at least 1 lbs of toppings to go into your soup. If you go over 1 lbs then it's extra. You also choose you soup base and the spice level. For boba you can pick from 2 sizes and you can add as many toppings as you like! You can add any teas or slushies. But it has to be able to be sealed. Refills are extra. The sauces are delicious they are at every table. Food comes out very quickly! Ours came out in less than 10 minutes! It is very hot temperature wise. So we used a small bowl to transfer some of the hotpot into. It cools the soup down quickly so you dont burn your tongue! It's makes it easier to eat. We loved this place! We will come again soon! Tempted to give this place a one star as that would be my honest rating. However, 2 stars here since it's a fairly new and small business struggling amid Covid. Blatantly disappointed with this place from the quality of the food, the teeny amount of ingredients in the hotpot buried in gardens of napa cabbage, the bland and msg filled tasting soup, to the inattentive waiters who accidentally spilled the piping hot soup. Just look at this "hairy" mussels (which is the perfect representation of the quality of food) and if you decide to visit this place, you deserve a medal of (unreasonable) courage. read more
The Hot Pot Mini Workshop is a good place to try something new and different. I recently visited and tried the Seafood Hot Pot, and it was really tasty. The Hot Pot is truly hot, the hostess lights a fire under your plate and your soup starts to bubble. The broth is really flavorful, and the seafood is mixed with vegetables. There are many different types of options to choose from and I plan to revisit and try the Curry or Beef Hot Pot. The customer service was great and free parking is available. read more

My first time ordering Togo here! I'm very impressed! I ordered the stinky tofu for myself, and the beef hotpot for my husband. I asked for extra soup for both and the lady who took my order was so generous to give it to us for no extra charge! Oh and what made a lasting impression of this place is the hotpot comes with free milk tea with topping! Yum! Everything was so delicious including their dipping sauces too! Great hot pot and boba place to eat! First time I got to make my own boba. You can put anything in your cup and it's only and extra $2 for the regular size and $3 for large. It was really fun to make my own boba with what ever you want. I actually mixed the of my favorite coffee, milk tea and other flavors. Yum! Can't get that anywhere else. Fun and different. For the hot pot it's the same thing. You can literally pick what you want and they weigh it. Fun place to take the kids and mix up what ever you want. LOVE! The hot pot was really good! I also loved the boba option! They left me try the teas! I tried half of all the teas there! And I loved that you could adjust the sweetness level, and get more than one topping! 10.5/10 Would eat there again! read more
Simple and Sweet If you're looking for a place that's just like boiling point and you don't want the wait, just come here. It's big portions, friendly service, and amazing taste. You also get the option to build your own pot and boba. They also got that Taiwan specialty, Mala duck blood hotpot. It's so good and they aren't stingy with the blood either. You also get all you can eat rice to go with your pot. The soup base is delicious and not overly spicy. It's the perfect balance of taste to spice. The owners are friendly and welcoming. They explained everything in great detail since it was our first time. The prices are about the same as BP. Maybe slightly cheaper. We've been here several times and always so good! Pots are served with an individual warmer so that it continues to boil for several minutes after reaching your table. We like the pre-set pots with Thai Fusion being my favorite. The kids love the miso pot. We've also had the curry and beef pots which are also delicious. All pots come filled with veges, an assortment of meats and yummy soup bases. There is a DIY option too if you prefer to choose your meats and veges to go with your choice of soup base. The DIY boba bar is also great! Honestly the boba is pretty decent for a place where boba tea is not its main focus. Better, actually, than a few local tea houses. You pile on whatever toppings you want, fill with your choice of tea and they seal the cup for you. In addition to boba there are various jellies and popping boba to choose from. My kids love filling the cup halfway with toppings! read more

I love this place. Always order the Taiwanese extra spicy no blood pork cake. The soup is tasty. Be careful if you don't be patient you'll burn your tongue (Me). A small shop runs by a husband and wife. So far it's the best in the area. Plus it comes with a drink, where you can BYO drink. No refills tho! read more

I came here with friends on a Saturday evening, and there were still plenty of tables around. You have the option of choosing a self-serve hot pot or from the hot pot selection on the menu. I opted for the beef pot, and it was the perfect portion for me. I love the fact that rice refills are free! My friends took advantage of that since they love rice. The self-serve boba is a cool concept. You can get creative and add as many toppings as you want! After you finish creating your drink, the employee will seal it for you. The broth was flavorful and not overly salty. There were only a few slices of beef in the beef pot, but it was enough for me. You may want to add more meat for an additional cost. The flavors of the hot pot were really good so I'm not complaining. All of the employees were really nice. Great service! read more

It was a rainy day today, so we decided to have hot pot for lunch. I had the beef hot pot served spicy, and my coworkers had slight variations of the same thing. The lady who took our orders was friendly and our hot pots came out about 10 minutes later. I must say it was filling, tasted great, and really hit the spot on a colder day. They are currently having a promotion where you get a 24oz drink with an order of a bowl. You get to add all the drink toppings that you desire and have a nice selection of teas and slush drinks. I had the passion fruit mango slush with popping mango and strawberry balls. I enjoyed this aspect, and it was pretty tasty. I would definitely come back and try some of their other items. read more

My friend & I came on a Wednesday afternoon & it was empty surprisingly because this is a super cute lil restaurant!! It's really pretty inside & very clean. The waitress who attended us was very sweet in helping us understand how to order since it was our first time! We ended up getting a slushy & the Miso hot pot, & it was super good!! Soooo delicious!! You can either build your own hot pot or pick from the menu which has a set assortment of toppings! I got the build your own you are given a bowl and tongs where you are free to pick as much toppings as you'd like. There is a scale used to weigh your bowl which you can check as you go(a minimum of 1b is required). It's around $12.99 per IB which is an awesome deal! They had a deal going on with every bowl purchased you can get a small build your own boba tea for $2! They had sooo many toppings to pick from! They also have sample cups to try each tea/slushy!! Solid hot pot place that serves Taiwanese hot pot. Everything about the hot pot was great. The brother was savory and spicy. The quality of meat was great. Everything was freshly made, the self serve boba bar is a great addition. I got the meat lovers hot pot. It was good portion that was more than enough to share with my friend and I. The quality is meats that were added was high. The broth is was makes the hot pot so much better. The brother was savory but it had a kick to it. As it was spicy, but not to spicy. It is pretty far from me but worth the try. Service was good and portions are good. It can be more tasty but they do have sauces on the table. I took home my leftovers and my sister's leftovers, it was like a third meal. They also serve shaved ice. SUPER BIG PORTION! read more

We got the build your own hot pot. They have a small station where you can choose from then weigh your bowl for the final price. There aren't as many options as I would've liked and the soup bases we chose from were alright. They also don't have as many sauces as I would've liked. There is also a build your own boba station that we got from. It was fun to build since we hadn't done it before. read more
