This is a much needed update. I had made one for the Oakway location. We liked going there with friends, I am glad they changed my mind. Recently we were here for Winberry Farm's beer launch party of their Trainwreck beer. The food was delicious. I personally had the Thai peanut wings, and tried the maple bacon. Some of our friends had the really hot wings, and the Mac n cheese. Everyone loved what they had. I pigged out on my order. I probably looked like an animal that has been starved when I was eating. You have to be willing to get messy if you order these wings. Just a pre warning. I didn't have the Mac n cheese this time, but I do remember it was really good. My friend made a comment about the poppers being a little undercooked, which was my previous complaint several years ago. They do not de seed the jalapeño's either. So that makes them extra spicy. This al dente way is the way they cook them. So if that is your cup of tea. Me, I personally like mine with no seeds, and more well done. Everything else here I would recommend. The service was great. Especially for how packed they were. I will definitely be back for more wings. read more

I am OBSESSED with the fried mushrooms here. The batter they use to dip it in is flavorful and it's perfectly crispy. I come here quite frequently and I've tried half the sauces for the wings. For the ones I've tried id rank them: 1. garlic parmesan 2. barbecue 3. asian honey mustard 4. Classic buffalo 5. Chile lime cilantro 6. Thai peanut For happy hour they do 4 for 4$ and it's nice because sometimes if they'll throw in 5 if there's two small ones. If you had to choose between the tots and fries, go for the tots!! Super crispy and excellent flavor. This place was phenomenal! We had a group of 6 people so expected a wait as this place is small. The staff was fantastic. The wait was only 30 minutes but the drinks were served quickly. We waited for a large table and sat down. The staff brought our food over and it was amazing. I had a burger and tater tots. Get the tots. They were the best I've ever eaten. My boyfriend and I came here for the first time today to get some wings for the Super Bowl. We were extremely impressed. We've been to other wing places around here and they all suck so coming here has changed the game. We're from Southern California and the wings there are always good and Hot Mama's Wings is right up there with the Socal wing places. Staff was super friendly and helpful, ended up giving us a few extra wings too. Fast cook time and the wings came out perfectly cooked, crispy, and plenty of sauce. This place was highly recommended from the locals and our Lyft driver so we had to check them out. Upon entering the restaurant we noticed there was no indoor seating allowed. However they did allow us to eat on the outdoor patio. The food was cooked to order and came out piping hot. We all gave the fresh french fries a 10/10. We ordered a variety of wings and appetizers and enjoy trying them all. We had a coupon for US Olympic Trials fans for 10% off and the staff gladly honored the discount even though I forgot to mention it when we ordered. He applied the discount without a problem. Ordered wings and wanted a 10 piece with 2 sauces ( they have 7-10-14-) Was told they can't do that unless I order 14 wings... try and make sense of the rational here? If it somehow confusing to staff to count to 7 stopping at 5 I see can be next to impossible! If sauce cost is an issue charge me extra for sauce don't make me buy extra wings I don't want. Burger was funny tasting but nice bun nice fresh ingredients and fries were plenty and good. After we sat down we couldn't help but ask each other as we both saw the table tent with scan code for menu and ordering??? Why didn't the bartender just say " hey guys you can sit wherever and use the scan to order online or, I'll be right with you"? As I sit here eating yesterday's leftovers fresh and crispy out of the air fryer, it dawned on me that I have yet to leave a review for Hot Mama's. We have dined in and taken out so many times - and each time was perfect. Our family's diets vary (gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, etc) but we can all agree on Hot Mama's. My husband and son share the wings. Top pick is maple bacon followed closely by the Asian honey mustard. When they want some real heat they opt for the raspberry habanero. My daughter is team tempeh all the way. Her fave sauce is BBQ as she's not a fan of spicy dishes. I'm a Buffalo cauliflower wing lady myself. The cauliflower has a good texture and the sauce is spicy enough to make your lips tingle but not so hot that you can't taste your food. I'm always thankful for my side of blue cheese though. Maybe your tastebuds are stronger than mine and can go without ... but not me. And then we get a side of tots or fries to share. Both are solid. We just opt for one or the other depending on if we had fries or tots more recently. Or if someone in the family happens to have very strong opinions on fries/tots that day. Okay so, went to hot mama's for my girlfriend's birthday dinner because the reviews looked good and we saw our friend post about it. I definitely don't think it deserves more than 3 stars. Firstly, they advertise as being a full bar, but only have a small drink menu (and neither of us could finish more than a couple sips of each of our drinks because they were so bad). Secondly, the food was mid. I will say the PRETZEL TWISTS ARE AMAZING. The cheese sauce is really nice, as well as the mustard, but the excitement stops there. I don't know if the cajon tots were burnt or if that's just how they do it, but it was quite literally all batter. It was fried soo much that it was just a crispy bite of batter. If you tried opening one up it literally just shattered everywhere all over the table. The wings... mid. The sauce was good!! But i'm not 100% sure if they were cooked fully, they weren't crispy on the outside and my girlfriend and I both felt sick the next day... Interesting. I will say, however, the staff was super friendly and nice, but that's their only saving factor for this overpriced food. For the prices you'd think you're gonna get way better quality but no, sadly in my opinion this place is only 3 stars :/ I think if we were to have tried something else like the chicken sandwich i'd have different feelings, but i don't know, just didn't hit. read more

I clicked on Hot Mama's and there was "Tempeh Wings" (which is a veggie "meat") My husband likes HOT and I like mild/maybe a tiny bit of spice. They have a lot of options for both of those and everything in between. And they have regular or Cajun fries and tots! We got the Cajun fries and they were YUMMY. And a lot of them! I got the Chicken Wings with Chili Lime and my husband got Tempeh Wings with Kamikaze sauce. Mine were perfect, really good wings in general and the sauce was really yummy. I liked all the ideology behind this place, all the staff I encountered were very friendly, and some of the flavor options were super unique and tasty (we tried Thai peanut, Buffalo, and garlic Parmesan) but the wings are really small and not much meat on them - I mean more fried exterior than meat on some, which made them greasy as well, particularly noticeable on the garlic Parmesan which didn't have a sauce to hide behind like the other two. I noticed after receiving a wings appetizer ata local brew pub (not noted for its food) but it's wings were BIG. Okay, how big? Look at your hand... imagine your thumb: buckle to tip & width, add thick sauce. Now look at your little finger, Not with knuckle to tip, with thick sauce. Which is a wing you want?
