They handled it like champs one guy particular I wish I would've got his name, but he knew it was up. The first thing I wanted was the color blue, but they didn't have my size but no problem. He jumped on. It gave me some helpful advice and found the size I wanted in black and that will work too, so I grabbed those. He took care of six people managed to get to me as he could see. I couldn't walk very well in no time flat. I had my new pair of Nike slip on slippers in the deal was incredible. I saved 20%. The store is good. Nice job.!!

Camping gear, sporting goods, beach gear, bikes, coolers, bags and much more! Prices can be a little steep, but they carry good brands. Had to wait a little in the check out line before they brought out another cashier out, bur when I was finally helped the cashier was very friendly and professional. Loved how easy it is to search their stock online!

As luck would have it thy were posting their end-of-the-season clearance and a perfect pair was in stock. I had budgeted $60-$80 for a new pair, so I was surprised and a tad bit skeptical when I saw a perfect pair of Denali brand for just $30. Next day, I drove down, parked in the large lot and entered, being greeted cheerfully as soon as I walked in. I headed back to shoes, found the pair of Denali's on the wall and within a couple of minutes an employee asked how he could help. I noticed he had been assisting other customers and could hear his patient, professional and cheerful demeanor with each one. After asking for the shoe, he quickly popped off to the back and retrieved my size. Perfect fit and the reinforced toe, which my pointy little elf feet require, was as good as the online picture showed. SCORE! After peeking around the clearance racks, I grabbed some sports bras, further discounted another 25% off, a pocket bug spray for hikes and "after bite" as impulse purchases. Made my way back up to the front, to the pleasant young lady who initially greeted me, paid for my items and out the door I went. So nice to have this dependable business located so close. Big5 has been around my whole life and I have always found something needed at a great price and helpful employees. The store could use a bit of cleaning. Stuff is often out of place or mixed up, but still in the same department which I guess is good. In all, Big 5 is a great option for your youth sports needs. I needed boxing gloves since I take a class, a women's sports bra in black, (was on clearance rack 50% off). Not too shabby. I also needed a folding chair that I can use to sit outside. I found the exact chair in the color that I was looking for. It was $15 NOT/including tax. It even has a cup holder which is a plus. I also needed a Foam Roller for my back. Got that too. Last, but not least, I needed 2 and half pound dumbbells. They had pink and black. I went with the pink color. That's all I needed from this store yesterday. I like this location, but not the parking lot. With that said, once inside, they do a great job of stocking as much as possible given that this is a slightly smaller Big 5 location than others. I always make a point of coming to this location first because chances are checkout lines will be shorter and then if they don't have what I'm looking for I go up the street to the Granada Hills location. Staff here is also very friendly. They tend to only be at the register and aren't wandering around the store a ton, but I've also never really needed help finding things as the store is very well laid out and intuitive. Prices are fine. Nothing amazing, but they're better priced than other big box sporting good store chains so, once again, this is always our first stop for gear for our 3 growing kids & their youth sports gear. If you give them your email you'll get a weekly email with some good deals that often are catered to whatever sport season is about to start as well which I greatly appreciate. If not, chances are you'll get a coupon in the mail for 20% off or $5 off a purchase of $20 or more. So always keep an eye out for one of those if you know you are going to need to buy anything.
