We've always had a fantastic experience here and the employees are always friendly and helpful. Yes, they often do not have a ton roaming around to help (not that they don't want to, but I just feel like they're often understaffed) but if you go up to the checkout counter to ask a question or request assistance, they will help you out immediately and with a smile. The store is also a large location and inventory is great. This location is a bit out of the way for us and further than other Big 5 locations, but we always know that they are going to have anything we need. The store is also well laid out so you can easily find what you need quickly. It's never messy when we go, despite what other people say on here, and it's just an all around good shopping experience. Honestly, if they were able to staff up a bit to have a few more employees roaming the floor outside of the shoe department, I would give this location 5 stars. Maybe I've been lucky on the dozen or so times I've been here, but I see no reason to complain about this location at all.

We came in, intending to just test the Peloton Tread and Tread Plus. He let us run on multiple treads for nearly two hours, including the two Peloton models we were interested in, as well as a Woodway and a Landice. As marathoners and OTF competitive runners, this level of testing was critical for the $3k-$6k purchase. Jacob understood that immediately. He encouraged us to push the machines, testing speeds 12+MPH, dialing in interval acceleration and deceleration, and really feeling the differences in foot strike, responsiveness, and overall ride quality. He didn't rush us or, even worse, hover around us. Jacob provided genuine support and deep product knowledge. Once we settled on the Tread Plus, Jacob went above and beyond by introducing us to the Tonal 2 home gym, which will absolutely be our next purchase. He was incredibly enthusiastic, walked us through the system, and let us try multiple workouts so we could really understand the experience. This store and the people they hire are scammers!!!…read more I spent over $2K on a recumbent bike last week that was supposed to be brand new. On the very first day it arrived, it started mysteriously auto-pausing after just 5 seconds of use. To make things worse, the installer apparently had no idea how to properly test it before leaving. I had to go back to the store myself and explain the issue. The store then had to contact the installer and only got back to me several days later. When the installer finally returned, he told me the motor was defective and that a replacement would need to be ordered, which could take weeks to arrive. Can you believe that? This was sold to me as brand-new equipment and cost thousands of dollars. I trusted this store and even threw away my couch to make room for this machine. I deeply regret that decision now. This store, and the people they hire, seem to have no idea what they are selling.

They tend to only be at the register and aren't wandering around the store a ton, but I've also never really needed help finding things as the store is very well laid out and intuitive. Prices are fine. Nothing amazing, but they're better priced than other big box sporting good store chains so, once again, this is always our first stop for gear for our 3 growing kids & their youth sports gear. If you give them your email you'll get a weekly email with some good deals that often are catered to whatever sport season is about to start as well which I greatly appreciate. If not, chances are you'll get a coupon in the mail for 20% off or $5 off a purchase of $20 or more. So always keep an eye out for one of those if you know you are going to need to buy anything.

He came by our home to replace a Max Trainer motor and brought the wrong motor. After disassembling it, he didn't assemble it back together and said he would special order the right motor and be back in two to three days. Because the Max Trainer was working, we just couldn't adjust the resistance, I explained we use it daily and it was important for us to have operational. However he left without reassembling the Max Trainer. For two weeks we have been waiting for Edgar to return with no success. Since last week he stopped responding to Our communications. I called and talked to Edgar, who is one very nice, personable, individual. I commented that I had bought the machine new and paid more for it than the car I was driving at the time ... he said, "Yes, that would have been $1800," which made me feel comfortable that he actually knew this old machine. When I got the console back, it looked brand new, and functioned perfectly. At our age (65 and 62), we could afford a new stepper but this antique has served us well for a long, long time.
