Fast, efficient, and delicious. Went in around 830pm Thursday night and just 2-3 tables were filled. The place is spacious with huge TVs on each corner of the room playing cooking videos, sports, etc... I used a tablet to order food and the options were clear, so ordering was smooth. The waiters are quick and responsive. Price is not extremely wild but it's reasonable for how much food I got. I was pretty hungry so I ate the whole thing, but could've split into two meals. Charbroiled pork was fatty and yummy. Paired well with the rice and really everything else. The egg roll was thick but I would rather get this as its own appetizer than part of the meal. Steamed egg meat loaf (cha trung hap) was also warm and tasty. Everything together is excellent. Parking is easy. Not congested like most westminister plazas. For the fast service, I'd most definitely would come back to try the other items.

It's a year later, not sure what happened but this place is just ok. Hardly any customers during dinner. TVs were all over the walls showing all kinds of shows (a bit chaotic). Order through the device, free regular iced water and teas are nice, but the food is just okay. My com tam's cha tasted a bit fishier than it should and the bread for the Bo kho seemed like it was toasted hours ago, being all chewy by the time I got it. I should have asked for another one but I figured I'm probably not gonna return. Food is brought to you and that's it so service is pretty nonexistent.
This was ok. The pork chop was really thin, which I like, but the portion was so small (after you remove all the bone and fat) the at I was still hungry by the time I finished the pork chop. There was too much sauce on the pork chop too, it was overpowering. I would come here again if I happened to be in the area, but not willingly, if I had another choice.

Ordering was very simple on an iPad, but the workers were very attentive and available in case we needed help. I love a Viet restaurant that plays food videos on their TVs while you're eating, and this place does just that. It just gives authentic vibes... We started with the thai basil clams and lemongrass clams. They were good, but we wished the flavors were stronger. For mains, we tried their com tam and their chicken curry. I usually never finish my com tam but this time I did! For my three toppings, I chose the tau hu ky, grilled pork, and steamed egg cake. The tau hu ky was so crispy, grilled pork was perfectly seasoned, and I loved the texture of the steamed egg. The complimentary soup that it came with was also actually super rich and flavorful and complimented the com tam very well. I'll definitely be back!
Funny how the place is called HOT but despite being 1.6 miles away it was delivered to me cold. SMH Portion size is small (I'm talking half what it should be) compared to other Vietnamese places, but the nearby place I order bánh thịt nướng chả from in Westminster (LanAnh) closes early on Sundays so I ordered DoorDash from here to be delivered 5:50pm. I played my order 3:30 and it arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled time. Wanted to try something new off Yelp with good reviews so I went with this. Next time I'll skip DoorDash and go get orders at the restaurant myself. That way, I don't get lukewarm food at best. Both orders came same temp. Must've been made at least 30 minutes before driver picked it up. My son liked the fish sauce because it was straight up sweet from the sugar in the fish sauce. He finished his portion and was still hungry. Skipping this place next time. Paid $40 when I could've cooked a much more satisfying meal with leftovers for $20.
In the ultra competitive Vietnamese food scene in Westminster only the best survive but in this case, this place raised the bar. I'll let the food pics speak for themselves. The food was even better than even in my pics. All the dishes were amazing but I especially loved the basil clams, the shrimp and the pork chops. Also service staff was attentive, friendly and courteous. They use a tablet for ordering so it was fast and efficient. The ghost of the old pizza hut vibes also bring a bit of nostalgia but they tastefully modernized it well. Can't wait to go back!
First time here and found this great Vietnamese restaurant! The Bun Bo Hue was delicious and full of flavor. The pork and shrimp spring rolls were fresh, and the lemongrass clams were so tasty. Everything was fresh, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly. I will definitely be back!

The food is SO good! I don't usually order com whenever we eat, but decided to give it a try since they specialize in it. I ordered with it thit and it was SO good; it actually reminded me of the food I had in Vietnam. Our server was really friendly! I never got his name, but he was the guy with glasses. He gave us a run down of the menu and what/how to order.
Tried this little Vietnamese spot near my house and honestly... I'm glad we did. The food was super yummy. I've definitely had better Vietnamese food before, not gonna lie, but this place is a close second, and what really makes it stand out is that it's open late. That alone makes it such a win, especially when you're craving something that isn't fast food at 10-11pm. The restaurant itself is really clean and inviting. It wasn't busy at all when we went, which made it a perfect place to just sit, eat, and chat without feeling rushed. There were plenty of tables and even a cute little outdoor patio if you want to eat outside. Bathrooms were clean too, which always gets bonus points from me. You order on a tablet, which I actually loved. I'm terrible at making decisions, so being able to scroll through everything, look at pictures, and take my time was super helpful. No pressure, no awkward "I'm not ready yet" moments. The food wasn't my absolute favorite Vietnamese food ever, but it also wasn't bad at all, it was solid, comforting, and hit the spot. I can totally see myself coming back again and again for a late-night snack or casual bite, especially since most other places are closed by then. Overall, it's a great little late-night option that feels way better than grabbing fast food. Clean, chill vibe, decent food, and open late, that combo alone makes it worth going back.
Food was 3 stars but I am bumping to 4 because of the service. We drove out of our way to dinner here and the server saw that we looked lost. He kindly explained how to order and checked on us frequently. We got the broken rice with the pork chop, steamed egg cake and fried chicken. The fried chicken was yummy and fried well. The pork chop was a step down from brodard's since brodard's has a smokey flavor that keeps me coming back. My wife got the bun bo hue which was okay. It was missing the pork feet that usually accompanies the dish. She appreciated that the broth was not spicy and that chili was offered on the side. Truthfully, we wouldn't go out of our way to dine here again but would eat here if we were running errands nearby.

This has nothing to do with the food quality but more of the restaurants "policy" and how it's routinely conveyed to us which kinda makes us not want to eat here but we do anyways because of the food and hence -1 star. The restaurant closes at 11pm. Most places that want to cleanup or shut down the kitchen typically have last call at closing or 30 mins prior to. This place is 1 HOUR before closing. Crazy! My family came here as usual just about 10pm and they were hesitant to let us eat here. Place had only 2 people at one table. I was reminded that it's 1 HOUR before closing is last seating. Next time I come here 5 mins before this time and still the same speech which makes us feel not wanted as a customer when you keep hearing this. 10 mins after is another couple came in, same speech and they were able to sit down. 30 mins later 2 guys come in and same speech and was still able to sit down and eat. Whether this is the true restaurant's policy or not, it gets very old hearing this and really detracts from the dining experience. If this is actually the way it is, they need to put a sign at the front door so people are aware but I still find this to be absurd.

This is a good break from all the Vietnamese soups and sandwiches. It's conveniently off of the freeway, and the service was very fast. You can order through the iPad system or reach out to them in person. The questions were generous and fresh, plus you get a free soup! We would come back again. read more
Not sure why such high ratings. Service was weird and foods were not good. $8.99 for lemongrass clams - I won't complain about this one since the price was decent. Frozen small clams. Not that tasty but edible. Com tam - 2 items: pork chops & a piece of egg loaf. Rice was not that great. The pork chops were dry and salty. The egg tasted a bit weird. Didn't get to try the noodles, but my mom said it wasn't good. The prices here were decent. Sadly, it wasn't good. No wonder it was so empty even on 4th of July. Service was odd. I dunno if I should say rude service or the dude just got no experience with customer service. When we sat, the waiter gave us menus then asked us if we know how to use the tablet. When I said yes, he then questioned if I was sure I know how to use the tablet. Why even asked?? Just show people how you want them to use it then. Afterwards, he was like make sure to order everything at once...wth? We asked the same waiter if the clams came with fish sauce or any kinds of sauces. He looked at us and was like "no sauce." If you're craving a quick fix of broken rice, this is the place! I didn't expect much at first, but it actually turned out pretty good. You order on an iPad, and the staff brings everything out to you. The ambiance is surprisingly nice too. We ordered four items, pork chops, egg, shrimp, and egg rolls and everything hit the spot. We also tried the fish sauce wings, which were delicious. Plus, it's super close to home, so that's a win! read more

HOT Com Tam was delicious! We came in today and tried a bunch of dishes: the hủ tiếu, bún chả, lemongrass clams, and egg rolls. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. The passion fruit juice was refreshing, and the aloe vera with chia seeds was perfect with the meal. Ordering on the tablet was super easy and convenient, and the customer service was the best. One of my favorite little details was the table condiment with ginger it was so good I kept picking the ginger pieces straight out of the container. Great food, great flavors, and definitely a spot I'd come back to! read more
I really wanted to like this place more because its not to far from me. I came in here for pickup. I did like how spacious it is inside with plenty of chairs and tables to dine in. It was also a little busy on a weekday for lunch. However there was only one lady working the floor and everyone had to wait. I ended up ordering the 4 item com tam combo and an order of spring rolls. My 4 item com tam included steam egg cake, eggroll, pork chop, and a beef short rib for an additional $3. I did like that there were plenty of different items to choose from for my 4 items. The com tam ended up being meh and underwhelming. The meats were on th de dry side. thought it would be a large order but it ended up being pretty small. As for the spring rolls it came with pork and shrimp. It was ripped when I got home and not the best I've had. It was okay but the sauce was not good. The pricing here is reasonable and affordable. I did like that it had its own parking lot which made it easy to get in and out. I would come back to try their other items. read more

Nice spot for broken rice! Charbroiled pork chop is my go to broken rice order, this place does it great! Love the free tea and free soup too, can't pass up free food. Wow, I'm honestly surprised at this hidden gem. From the outside it seems quiet and dead, but suddenly it gets busy. We came here on a whim because we live 2 mins away. Pro: Plenty of seating, enough room for a stroller, clean with plenty of TVs. The Fish Sauce chicken wings and it was pretty good, it was garlicky, savory and sweet. We both ordered the 4 item Broken Rice with pork chop. You can customize the items to mix and match here. So you can theoretically get all pork chops if u wanted. But it was good and at a decent price. The grilled shrimp was juicy and fat. The service was also good and friendly. Con's: -ordering from a tablet (can be good or bad up to the user) but it is user friendly. -echoes inside due to the concrete floors. -slow but friendly service due to only having one server (weekday) -Thai tea had a lot of cream. Picked a random viet restaurant near my friends new house and hit gold! This place was a great find with authentic flavors at a decent price. We visited during pretty slow hours on Labor Day and the service was just okay. Food (5/5) - Good concept letting customers customize their own com tam plate rather than listing 10,000 different combinations on the menu. Flavors were on point, portions were alright, probably the best com tam i've had in the area. Just a bit on the more expensive side. I ordered the grilled pork and viet sausage, and everything was good quality even the sides. Service (3.5/5) - As mentioned above, visited at a slow time and still had pretty sluggish service, which was countered with great food so it wasn't a huge deal. Just a hot summer day and was rushing to get some ice waters going! Ordering off a tablet is a bit slow for groups of people. The staff here is very nice, however. Ambiance (5/5) - I really like the sleek design of this restaurant, appears very spacious, is clean, and comfortable seating. Lots of parking, nice bathrooms, not super loud inside, can't complain. read more

Inside is very clean and organized with lots of TVs which makes for a perfect location to spend time with friends and family. The service was very professional and quick. We got their com tam with 3 and 4 items (two separate orders). Everything was cooked so well and it was so delicious. I grew up eating these dishes and I was so happy to be able to find a restaurant that served well made dishes. The shredded pork and skin, steam egg cake, charbroiled pork chop, and char-broiled pork were delicious. The pork was very smoky too. The best thing about this place was the pricing of the menu items. They're VERY reasonable and a huge reason why I would come back to this place. So many restaurants feel expensive nowadays due to inflation/costs of living/etc but the pricing on this menu takes me back a few years. I'd be happy to come again! read more

A casual spot for affordable and good portioned Vietnamese food! The com tam was customizable and came with options for 1- 3 add ons. The pork chop was definitely my favorite, it came with a lot of meat and had a nice grilled flavor. I tried the bun rieu, which had a flavorful broth and a variety of toppings like pork blood and fried tofu, but I wish there was more crab. I also loved how the soup and tea was complimentary, and the tablet ordering system was very convenient and efficient. read more
HOT Com Tam is probably one of the better cơm tấm places I've eaten at recently. The cơm tấm is a choose your own adventure here. You can choose up to 4 things ($15.49) from a laundry list of items. For $15 bucks, you can create the plate of your dreams. For mine, I chose my favorites: chả (steam egg cake), tàu hủ ky (tofu skin shrimp cake), nem nướng (Vietnamese sausage), and thịt nướng (char broiled pork). I must attest that everything was quite tasty. The tàu hủ ky in particular was excellent. It was meaty and neatly wrapped into the tofu skin. Delish. The thịt nướng also had a really nice char taste. I felt like the nước mắm was a little watered down, but I think that's a matter of preference. Don't sleep on the apps - the fried wontons and fried shrimp rolls ($5.99!) were excellent starters to our lunch. 10 out of 10 dining experience even if the tablet situation is a little wonky. Will definitely be back to try other menu items. read more

Was craving for com tam so stopped by here since it was close to where I was. Plenty of parking and clean too. Very nice simple decor, clean, spacious, airy and well kept inside. Plenty of TVs hung around with different channel of cooking or food traveling shown. You ordered on the tablet that they provided along with a menu in case you can do on the tablet. Easy order and quick turn around...the foods look delicious and tasty plus it comes with free veggie soup - a really small soup that you wonder why bother. All are good and tasty plus good portion. I was impressed or really hungry that I cleaned up the plate, except the soup (it was so so). Coffee was good, too much iced. Overall not bad at all. read more

I was on the hunt for some good com tam but it was getting late and every other com tom place was already closed or they stopped taking people! However, hot com tam was still open and I'm glad I was able to find and try this place out! I got the 3 item plate for about $15 which is a steal! The fried tofu skin shrimp paste is one of my favorite items but this place tasted alright. The winner here is the charbroiled pork as it was cooked perfectly. The lemongrass is charred nicely and the char flavor is very prominent. They use iPads to order everything and they even have free tea! I highly recommend this place if you're ever on this side of the town. read more

Stopped by to try their broken rice (cơm tấm) and had a great experience. I was the first customer of the day, so I got to sit wherever I wanted, which was a nice start. They offer both a physical menu and an iPad menu, and ordering directly from the iPad was quick and easy. The space itself is spacious, clean, and feels recently remodeled, with lots of windows letting in natural light and giving a nice view out to the street. It's casual and comfortable without trying too hard. I ordered the 3-item combo and was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the price was for the portion size. The food came out fast, was filling, and hit the spot. Nothing fancy, but solid, tasty Vietnamese comfort food done right. I'd definitely come back again. read more

I had the shrimp rolls and pork with broken rice. Very tasty overall. Soup was really nice although in a weird dish haha. Good service. Lighting was nice and seating was comfortable. read more
Really liked this place, a nice quiet late night spot for some affordable and delicious food. Our waiter was very professional and the restaurant was spotless and cozy. Food was plentiful, perfectly cooked, and promptly served. Will definitely add this to my regular rotation. read more
