Called this place to put in an order, no answer, l figured they might be busy, l got there, 0 Customer in the store at 6:30 am. This bagel shop is the best for bagels in this Canarsie neighborhood in Brooklyn. It's been in the neighborhood for years and the consistency of their bagels is great. However they don't have a lot of variety besides plain, everything, poppy, and onion flavors. The customer service sucks. You ain't gonna feel like they appreciate your business here and that's coming from a repeat customer. I come here the bagels are great. They did recently raise the price for their bagels from $1 to $1.25. when that happened. It's not worth it for me to come here anymore and pay for terrible service. I now go to Mil Basin Bagel Cafe, their bagels are $1.10. It's one neighborhood over for the same quality. read more

I always order from here on Uber Eats, on Uber it's called "Manna Hot Bagel" not Hot Bagels. I really like their breakfast, I get pancakes and bacon. They close at 2pm. Today was my first time going in person to pick up my food so I got to see the place in person and my partner went to pick up the food inside and got to interact with staff. I will say the experience we had today was a bit disappointing. The door was locked and no one was inside, my partner knocked on the door but it took about 3 minutes for someone to come and open the door which was not locked but had the handles tied together from the inside with rope which was off putting to say the least. The man just said "there's only three people working today" and let my partner in okay fine. He then proceeded to tie the door closed again while my partner was inside and I watched 5 different customers attempt to go inside but they couldn't and they didn't let them in either. This was around 1:25pm so they where still open. We got the food and left and my partner commented on how it looked unsanitary. All in all, the food is good but the cleanliness and behavior of the staff in my personal opinion was very lacking. I'll stick to delivery from now on at least until I find a better place with better pancakes. read more

Found myself in Brooklyn on a Saturday morning; perfect opportunity to get a nice bagel breakfast. This place has under done bagels for the most part, wish they would bake them sufficiently. The gentleman who took care of me couldn't really understand what I was asking for. After a while, I sort of got my order across. He did, however, begin making an entire breakfast for me that I didn't order. I simply wanted to bagels to go, which I did and he tried to appropriately fix my change. I've literally eaten here for ten years and saw it evolve. I usually come for breakfast sandwiches which are usually AMAZING but recently started trying their hot food. Omg it's so delicious. There's also a buffet area that has items like lomein, bbq chicken, rice, etc. plus they updated their chips selection which includes the fancy brands popping up these days including kettle chips and others. Of course they sell hot bagels as well, which is made on the premises. The last thing I ordered was a cheese omelet meal which came w home fries and buttered toast for $7. It didn't disappoint. Absolute rip off I got hit over the head for a whole wheat turkey egg white mini sand which for 9.50$ with a bottle water. Like are you kidding me???? Brooklyn deli with Manhattan prices. I work at a school three blocks from Hot Bagel, and it is our #1 lifeline. We've gotten catering from them probably 100 times, and they're always on-time, kind, and ready to help. They're bagels are super fresh, and their other products have really diversified over time. We wouldn't be the same without them. Definitely a neighborhood staple. read more

I literally just left this store. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on toasted roll but decided to add honey turkey with a small Snapple drink. 2 days prior I order the same but the sandwich had no turkey and the Snapple was large. The first order order came to $9.25 though it was a bit pricey I still paid as they had already made the sandwich. When I opened it it looked small and flat like there barely any filling I could barely see bacon or egg so I was wondering what I was really paying for. But over the sandwich tasted pretty decent so I overlooked the flaws. But today when I went back to give them a second chance I now added the turkey because I remembered how the first sandwich barely had filling and I wanted to get something out of the sandwich since I was paying a high price anyway. I also get this combination from other stores as well and never do I get the price I was told. But not to long ago I was just told a bacon egg and cheese on a toasted roll with honey turkey and a small Snapple drink would cost me $16. To which I replied what do you mean it's $16. The Asian owner then said bacon is an extra $2 but the turkey is an extra $8 with a clear attitude because I questioned the price. I was flabbergasted. I had a feeling something was off because the Hispanic workers were huddled discussing my sandwich with him before he approached to take payment. The fact that you have the audacity to charge $16 for a poorly made sandwich switch still even after I added the turkey was still flat with barely any egg or bacon made me even more pissed. And I overpay for things all the time especially if I really want it I don't mind the price but knowing I get the same thing all the time and it's never that price is what raised the alarms for me. I'm not a review person but this completely upset me. I paid and made a mental note to never shop at that store again not even to buy gum cuz they would try to charge $10 for that. I know inflation is up and we're all expected to pay a lil bit more for things but to completely take advantage like this is beyond disgusting. (I will edit this after my second visit.) This firs visit, though, was just fine. I didn't get to the shop until the afternoon, so their variety was down to three: plain, sesame and everything. I asked if that's all there was; what sort of variety they had in the morning. The guy seemed to have to reach when he mentioned that they sometimes have cinnamon raisin. I was surprised to not hear my favorites garlic and onion - which aren't even exotic - a staple of the bagel industry! I won't keep my fingers crossed for anything fancy, as the place seems to only make the most basics - in fear of having leftovers(?). On the lines of "fancy" I hope to see egg, flat and twisted bagels one of these mornings. The service was "meh..." Not bad, but not good, either. The lack of friendliness may have been due to a language barrier for the counter person. OR, it may have been a show of controlled temper - seeing as they're located across the street from a high school. (Those little bastards are annoying and loud and rude; and unfortunately, my size gets me mistaken for that age group.) We'll meet again, Hot Bagel! read more

This is the only bagel shop along Rockaway Parkway in Canarsie. Yes, the bagels are made daily on the premises. The food is good and reasonably priced. Just wish the bagels were more fresh during the late afternoon. But why complain, just ask them to either heat it up or toast it. The crew there is very friendly and they work their tails off. read more

the most horrible customer service I have ever had to deal with. when you call to place an order for delivery, the woman who answers is VERY RUDE AND NASTY. she told me she will call me back which she did 2 minutes later. a man called me back and then we got disconnected somehow and then when I tried to call back they did not pick up the phone!!! what kind of service is this? while the customer service is horrible the food is good. maybe they are nicer in person but I will never call this place again because of the nasty people who answer the phone. read more
