Fraud Warning - Extremely Unprofessional and No Transparency…read more My experience with this property management company was extremely disappointing and concerning. Communication was consistently poor--multiple emails and phone calls went unanswered, and meaningful responses were rare. After move-out, funds were deducted from our security deposit without clear justification. We repeatedly requested itemized documentation and physical evidence to support the charges, which tenants are generally entitled to receive under standard tenant-landlord practices. Despite multiple requests, this information was never provided. We were charged for items and installations that were not present at the start of our tenancy, and the deductions appeared to exceed what would typically be considered normal wear and tear. Based on what we observed, the charges seemed more consistent with property improvements or upgrades rather than tenant-caused damage. We offered photographic evidence of the unit's condition, but it was disregarded. What was most troubling was the complete lack of transparency and good-faith communication throughout this process. I interacted with two individuals named Cindy and another named Hope, and despite repeated attempts, no one took responsibility for addressing these concerns or providing proper documentation. Given our experience, tenants should proceed with extreme caution. Security deposits are meant to be handled according to clear standards and accountability, and that was not our experience here. I am in the process of reporting this matter to the appropriate consumer and housing authorities for review. If you are considering renting through this company, document everything thoroughly and think carefully before trusting them with your deposit.

I never take the time to write negative reviews but I REALLY wish someone would have warned me…read morebefore I got into a situation with them. Long story short, I was working with a manager named Noe who flat out lied to me and put me in a situation where he led me to believe that I was moving forward with renting a house (ran and cleared our credit etc), but when I starting asking QUESTIONS about some unsafe items with the house (which we were willing to help fix) he turned around and rented it to someone else behind my back. This was after pressuring us to accept moving in within 30 days so we (a family) had started giving notice to our current residence and Children's daycare. We also took work off 2 times to drive down to do a walkthrough on the property, which he was aware of. When he called to tell me he was renting it to someone else, after completely ghosting me following up for 6 days.... I was shocked and called him out for completely lying and misleading us and putting us in a horrible position, he basically said "too bad". Also worth noting that whatever poor soul he got to move into the house so quickly probably wasn't aware that they were letting them move into a house with some fairly big safety issues (doors don't shut or lock AT ALL, windows that are not sealed and have gaps, mold in the garage etc.) I totally understand that nothing is set in stone until everything is signed and lease is paid, but this guy REALLY made us believe the house was ours and its clear he just didn't want to have to deal with a tenant that wasn't going to blindly move into a property. When I said to him "you really lied to us and now you have left a family in a seriously stressful situation", his response was again was basically too bad.

Don't live here…read more Spare yourself the headache of dealing with self-serving managers like Elena backed by the Jones&Jones regime. If you have to live here, document everything like it's court. In my time here from 2022-2023, I had elevated multiple habitability issues with the grounds. Such as blood, urine, feces around the stairways and including the managers back yard. There is a never ending shit show of garbage strewn across the parking area. I seriously couldn't believe I was being charged for garbage when I could have just thrown it on the ground for free. I wasn't able to open my front door for any period of time without a flock of flies entering along with disgusting odors. All that came of the concerns I raised was an internal inspection with no corrective action. When I attempted to transition from my lease to a newly renovated unit I was met with ambiguity from Elena regarding the "process" and was reassured that "corporate" would get back to me. After seeing groups of tenants tour, Elena was conveniently moving in for herself without any follow-up. I later found out that she falsely documented that I was not able to afford it. Aside from living in an overpriced dump, be prepared for retaliation when elevating these issues as these people take no accountability and will do their best to scam you out of your security deposit and any money they can.

Deer Creek is a stunning venue. We hosted our wedding there and honestly couldn't have asked for a…read moremore beautiful location for our ceremony and celebration. I'm sad to say that this is where my praise ends. Had I known what our experience dealing with the owner, Rick, would be like, I would have chosen a different location. One thing to understand is the substantial cost of making the property event ready. This wasn't transparent to us initially. In addition to the $10k daily event fee, plan to spend at least another $8k for things like generators, toilets, building out a kitchen, trash removal, and surcharges to have rental companies retrieve everything before midnight the night of the event. This may absolutely be worth the expense, but it's helpful to understand the actual costs in advance. During our walkthrough, Rick joked that catering companies should prioritize feeding and impressing him at events because couples only get married once, whereas he can provide caterers with ongoing business. It was an odd comment that unfortunately came to feel representative of the highly transactional nature of our experience. Rick also wanted to charge an additional $900 for the bridal party to begin using his "bridal suite" at 9:30 in the morning rather than 10am. While five women were getting ready, including my mother and 88-year-old grandmother, he repeatedly entered the room looking for his misplaced sunglasses. More upsetting to me was learning that when my mother and grandmother arrived that morning, he turned them away at the front door and instructed them to enter through the garage, where the catering team and temporary kitchen were set up. I was stunned to learn this. Several of our guests shared that their interactions with him were not particularly welcoming or kind. When the groom arrived that morning, Rick would not allow him to park the vintage car he rented for the weekend in a location where it would photograph well, despite our having discussed this previously. It was another relatively small interaction that contributed to the feeling that there was little interest in helping us make the day special. There were other uncomfortable moments. We had discussed taking photographs in an upstairs bedroom before the ceremony, but when we went upstairs to do so, Rick was showering in the area. The situation was unexpected and awkward on our wedding day. I went out of my way before the wedding to tell Rick he was welcome to participate in our festivities and asked for his meal preferences. My intention was for everyone onsite that day, including him, to feel included and appreciated. I let him know that if he chose to join the celebration and mingle with our guests, the event dress code was cocktail attire or all black. He told me he was offended by the request, and later came out and interacted with guests several times while wearing shorts. A few days after the wedding, I shared our feedback with Rick kindly and professionally, including reports from family members that they had felt unwelcome. His response was ultimately the most disappointing part of the experience. Rather than acknowledging our concerns or engaging with them professionally, he responded with personal insults and attacks. I probably would not have written this review had my concerns been met with even a modest amount of accountability, respect, or professionalism. Thankfully, we made the absolute best of it. The things that mattered most were wonderful, our wedding was beautiful, and our family and friends had an incredible time. I do wish we could have enjoyed such an important day without the unnecessary tension surrounding our interactions with the owner, but we appreciated the lessons it offered. Deer Creek itself is a very special location. The land and views are remarkably beautiful. I would simply recommend going into the decision with a clear understanding of all additional costs and recognizing that, in our experience, the owner's approach and personal discretion can significantly influence the way you and your guests experience the venue.
