As many others have noted, Cheryl is consistently rude and dismissive--I truly believe she enjoys the control and status that come with her position. She shows clear preferential treatment to certain residents, even when they openly violate the rules. A close friend of mine lives next to a highly disruptive neighbor who regularly uses a barbecue in violation of the guidelines. The association (Cheryl) is fully aware of this and allows it to continue, while others are penalized for far less. This neighborhood no longer feels safe or fairly managed. read more

Everything that people are saying in the negative reviews is 100% true. She has only negative reviews and one "fake" good, it is telling already a lot.   1. Cheryl is hiding, you can't find her anywhere, she is only collecting fees and violation fees. The address for her "office" is a UPS store. She is in cahoots with some boards members, this is why she is feeling nondestructive, which is falsity-this days are over, we have the internet and we can share what we can see. 4. someone said - Cheryl Crandall and her management company are the definitions of "selective enforcement". Absolutely agree with it. Please remember this kind of action is violence. 5. Please remember and don't be afraid to complain. We are living in a free country, and Cheryl can not bully us! Beyond that, homeowners have a right to sue the HOA, a right to display the U.S. flag and political signs (within reason), a right to reasonable accommodations, a right to be treated fairly, a right to solar installations and satellite dishes, a right to solar drying, a right to native plants, and the right to keep household safe. Homeowners have a plethora of rights against an HOA, including the Right of Possession, the Right of Control, the Right of Exclusion, the Right of Enjoyment, and the Right of Disposition. Homeowners also have a right to change HOA rules and regulations, a right to question HOA fees and special assessments, a right to access HOA documents and financial reports, and a right to disciplinary hearings. Why pay someone who works for us, does not do her job, is rude, brings stress, abuses us, and we don't want this person- the answer is easy we need to terminate her. They've been our HOA'S management company for over ten years and their service has been excellent!

I have lived in several HOA's and this is the first HOA that has a 24 hour emergency response that actually works. Cheryl never says she will do something she cannot do, and I am grateful that we have a board that will not do something for one owner that they are not willing to do for all owners. That is very rare to find from a Board. We have the some of the lowest dues in the tri county area, and have significantly more services than anyone else. I always keep my eye on the reserve study and they always stick to the schedule. That is why the homes have increased almost 800%. Thank you Cheryl and Thank you Board. read more

It is beyond my comprehension the level of incompetence, unprofessionalism and lack of response from both Cheryl and the HOA board of directors. We have been disputing a SAFETY issue with Cheryl for 5 years! As such we have a multitude of neighbors with the same issue and to date the HOA has not responded to our concerns. We are prepared to take legal action and file a class action suit. Each person on the board needs to be replaced immediately and Cheryl has no business being in the role she is in she has zero customer service skills. I'm not sure what qualifications Cheryl Crandall has to be a manager of a property like this but she does a piss poor job. It takes multiple phone calls to get anything done. I never see her around the property inspecting the facility to see where the grass is dying from lack of water or signs have fallen down, or lights have burned out. When I told her that there was a broken sign she told me well it doesn't matter because we're getting new signs anyway. Meanwhile it was a large piece of wood with jagged edges and splinters just lying around for anyone to trip over. The grass is dying, the plants are dying, and when I mention this to her she says over and over "yes I've mentioned it to the landscapers." Well if the landscapers aren't listening to her it shows they don't respect her. What kind of manager is that? I've already taken the HOA and the board to court over damage they did to my property that they accuse me of doing, and I won. The damage was caused by a flood that went on for a month on the other side of my wall and was not addressed despite multiple phone calls for me. For a month. Then they tried to blame the flood on me. Nice try. A good manager of a property should be trying to help the residents. I have given Cheryl a suggestion that she find a great gutter cleaning company and ask them what kind of discount price they would give if multiple residents wanted their gutters cleaned. We live in a very fire vulnerable area and have lots of pine needles in our gutters. If embers hit those pine needles, your house catches fire. Another life-saving tip would be to find out how much a licensed plumber would charge if multiple residents wanted to get an automatic gas shut off on their gas line. We are in Southern California and very vulnerable to earthquakes. Fire starts in your home from the gas lines. An automatic shut off automatically turns your gas off with a quake of a certain magnitude. For probably around $300-400 you can save your house from catching on fire. I have one on my gas line. It is not my responsibility to let the homeowners know that this is an option. A great manager or a great HOA board would let the residents know this. And since these are townhomes that are attached, if one goes all the others in the row will catch as well. We would be helping our neighbors as well as ourselves to have better fire prevention on our property. Instead Cheryl seems to do nothing. She even asked me if the basketball hoop was still up in my cul-de-sac because it is "illegal." First of all I shouldn't be asked to snitch on my neighbors and second of all she needs to walk around the property herself and find that out. It's not my responsibility. Second of all at a time when kids are out of school and not able to see their friends because of Covid, to deny them a basketball hoop which is out-of-the-way and not bothering anyone is nasty. She tells me the hoop is in the way if firetrucks need to come but perhaps the fire trucks wouldn't need to come if she was helping the residents with more fire prevention measures. I have asked Cheryl repeatedly what she does on a day-to-day basis to manage this property. She refuses to answer. I have asked her her qualifications to hold his job and she refuses to answer. I have asked for the name of the attorney for her company and she refuses to answer. I have asked her why our dues went up and she refuses to answer. The residents need a manager up to the task. It is our responsibility to go to the board meetings and let them know that this is not satisfactory. Find out when the board meeting is and go. This time it will be on zoom I believe. But your voices need to be heard. I cannot be the only person out here trying to make this a better, safer place to live. read more

Some family members and our family have been dealing with this company for years since we moved to a property they manage. To say the least, I am very surprised there aren't others giving their experiences when dealing with one of their representative, they lack integrity and in many instances fail to follow through with communication. Owners and residents are NOT their priority ( they places more importance to the board members of the HOA). Some representatives have a tendency to be argumentative and do not know the meaning of the word "Apology". If you are an agent looking for a service such as this, DON'T use this company, or make sure your representative is retrained, prior to providing you with a business relation. read more

Ms. Crandall of A Diamond Association Management and her team are very good. I have found over the various associations I own property in.....property owners as a general rule have no clue what is involved of "management" of an association. A honest manager works for a board of directors - period. Not me or you. I recently had a challenging escrow and was an owner inside an association with a pending lawsuit against the association.....a nervous buyer on the hook and only Ms. Crandall who could relay information to escrow/buyers agent about the association.....THANK GOD FOR HER KNOWLEDGE is all I need to say or my escrow and any other seller who wanted to sell would be stuck until the suit was settled. She did return my calls and emails very promptly. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND A Diamond Association Management. read more
