What a delightful, well appointed store! I was looking for a baby shower gift & found Hopscotch. I was cheerfully greeted upon entering & shown through the store. They have an amazing array of clothing, lots of baby paraphernalia, books & toys. A great place to shop as your children or grand children grow. Prices are reasonable. It was fun just looking around. Absolutely fantastic, cute little shop selling everything for newborns to toddlers, tots & beyond. Clothes, accessories, books, toys, games, shoes, it's incredible how much stuff they crammed in such a small space, and yet it doesn't feel cluttered or claustrophobic! The atmosphere within is always calm, quiet and serene, and the staff are very kind and let you browse without interruption, and are not pushy. Prices on what you would expect from a boutique shop: more expensive and say, a Walmart, but the quality of the items here is vastly superior, and comes with the bonus of not having to shop at a Walmart ( or any other big box retailer). Coming here is always a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the rest of Bend. We picked up an outfit and some hair bows for our friend, who just gave birth to her first daughter. Seems like somebody we know is always pregnant or has just had a child every time to come through Bend, so this has become a regular stop for us! Took my 5 year old to get her ears pierced today and we had such an amazing experience! The lady who helped us was so kind and gentle with her while explaining the procedure. I love that they also put numbing cream to lessen the pain. Definitely recommend coming to Hopscotch Kids for any parent who is looking to get their kids ears pierced for the first time. read more

Great service! I didn't catch the lady's name who helped me answer questions about Bogs but she was super nice and patient. I ended up coming back, this time with my daughter, to try on some Bogs and we bought a pair. Great energy and vibes in this store, despite the high prices. Yes, it's a boutique store. For some reason, I had the idea it was a used clothes store (like a thrift shop, or Stone Soup) but that isn't the case. I had stopped by Stone Soup before stopping by here and there were some used Bogs but to be honest, I don't want to get my child any type of used shoes. I have no problem with used clothes or items, just not shoes. =) So the Bogs at Hopscotch were brand new, which I preferred despite being so pricey. In fact, if you purchase the boots online, whether Amazon, Bogs, REI, etc. that's how much you'd spend anyway unless there's a sale. This store has so many beautiful items. Definitely a cute store, but overpriced (surprise, surprise) and cluttered. Despite the density of clothing, didn't seem have much for older kids (10+). Staff was okay, but the gal present that day was a bit 'ditzy', to say the least.... ugh. Left without buying anything for my nephew. read more

Shopping during Covid19 is challenging to say the least. I called Hopscotch to inquire about an item I had seen on a previous shopping trip. Not only did I receive help with the item I called to inquire on, but the salesperson, Chelsea, asked me a few questions to get an idea what I was looking for, took pictures of items that might be of interest, and sent them to me. I was able to shop for some birthday gifts for my grand daughter on the phone through text messages. Then Chelsea wrapped the gifts beautifully and delivered them to my home. Customer service above and beyond! Love this shop! read more

This is just the cutest store - stocked with everything you could ever need for a kiddo in your life. But what really sets them over the top are the employees. I have been in dozens of times and EVERY.SINGLE.TIME I'm greeted with the warmest, friendliest staff member. Once greeted, the service doesn't stop there -- they are SO knowledgeable about ALL things kids related and they have such incredible suggestions. They also know where everything Is in the store, which is kind-of amazing, since the store has A LOT of kid stuff (clothes, toys, books, pool things, shoes, literally everything). Once they help you decide, locate and select whatever it is you're wanting, they then gift wrap for free, all with a huge smile. I haven't a clue how a small store in a small-ish town found such absolute GEMS of employees, but Hopscotch Kids did it. Just the other day I was in looking for something, which they had just sold out of, and the gal went above and beyond: she called the competitor toy store in town to see if they had it. This is a one stop store for all things kids under 8 - clothes, books, toys, games, puzzles, etc. The owner knows her business and carries great products from around the world that you generally won't find at other stores and would only find on the internet with lots of searching in many different categories. It is a fabulous place for parents and grandparents to shop with easy parking and access. The clothes were high end in quality, variety, and specialness if you don't want your child to wear the same offerings of all the department stores. Prices are on the high end, but for a special gift or high quality clothes that will last they are worth it. If you like patronizing local businesses that run their business well and treat customers special you should visit Hopscotch. If I lived in Bend, I would do most of my kids shopping here. read more

Wonderful find! Great selection of infant/toddler shoes. The owner, Bridget, is very helpful and knowledgable. She directed me towards some decorating idea websites for our number two on the way and even helped us place a special order, waving the shipping to us in Seattle and of course no sales tax! I make it a habit to pop into Hopscotch Kids at least once a month because they have such a fantastic assortment of items for my 1 year old. We've bought everything from shoes and books to gifts (holiday, birthday, etc.) and toys. Their stock is updated frequently and they carry fantastic brands. They have a fun play area for little ones to keep them distracted while the adults shop. The owner and sales associates are all incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. This is a GREAT children's store with a wonderful selection of clothing, shoes and toys. The store was inviting and enjoyable to look around. The staff (especially the young woman from Mesa, AZ) were very helpful and informative. They definately helped when we had questions but they also let us freely wonder the store. My children found numerous "treasures" and enjoyed the freedom to play and explore the store as well. Oh my goodness! This clothing store has the cutest section of quality kids clothing I have ever seen! It was so fun to happen upon such a find in Bend. We have grandaughters ages 5 and 10, who we shop for anytime we are traveling. Hopscotch Kids has clothing brands I've never heard of, as well as books, toys, shoes and accessories. This will be a favorite stop anytime we come to central oregon. Can't wait to get home and show our girls their presents! read more
