I had an unbelievably frustrating experience at this consignment shop, and I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here. This wasn't even my first red flag. I previously tried consigning at their other location in town and was told they were booked out months in advance--and that I'd need to log on the moment appointments opened just to secure a spot. That level of rigidity for a consignment shop is absurd and should have been my warning sign. I decided to try their other location and am equally appalled. Similarly, I had to make an appointment just to consign items. Then I had to rearrange my work schedule to accommodate an assigned appointment to pick up unsold items, which was not chosen by me but instead just delegated to me. I showed up on time, only to be met with dismissive, flippant indifference from staff. Despite having a scheduled appointment to collect unsold items, I was told I couldn't consign additional items during that appointment--but could come back later (literally 45 minutes later) to do so with NO ONE else in the shop. I was also told I could come back yet again, in a different visit, to pick up a check for my sold items. How many separate trips am I expected to make for one transaction? Their entire process is wildly inefficient and completely disrespectful of customers' time. You're limited in how many items you can bring, the drop-off windows are narrow and rigid, and even if your items are in-season and in great condition, they can still be rejected based on their inventory. And after spending hours of my life arranged around their schedule, the payout is a complete joke. I was told I'd be receiving $38 total despite consigning multiple items, including a Michael Kors purse, with zero transparency around how that number was calculated. When I asked for an itemized breakdown, they had to log into yet another system and told me they'd send a link so that I could jump through yet more hoops to learn what each item sold for. Unsurprisingly, that link never came. To make matters worse, they couldn't even issue a check on the spot and instead claimed it would be mailed. That was four weeks ago--I still haven't received anything. So after rearranging my schedule, making multiple unnecessary trips, and dealing with their disorganized process and rude staff, I have exactly zero dollars to show for it. Between the lack of organization, constant "we need to log into another system" excuses, restrictive and inconvenient policies, and the irreverent staff, this business operates in a way that feels intentionally opaque and financially unfair to its customers. Bend is absolutely due for an ethical, flexible consignment shop that actually values its customers--because this place clearly does not. I strongly recommend others think twice before trusting this shop with their items. read more

I love this place. I usually find something flattering and unique and not only am I not destroying the envinroment but also supporting local business. I got my absolute favorite pair of Frye boots here last winter and they were perfectly broken in but not creepy used shoes at all. The prices are not dirt cheap like you would find in a thrift store but Angela curates the items very well. If you are someone who does not enjoy riflingh through racks and racks of tons of clothes, this place is for you. Some people have mentioned that prices are higher than they expect, but let;s be honest, most of the in person shopping in Bend is from fast fashion brands where cheap clothes mean destroying the environment as well as child labor. The vibe is also great and they make it easy to try stuff on and always gove me good advice on what looks good. I love their local items as well, like jewelry and candles, etc. read more

I was in the NW Crossing store. Nice sales person. Beautiful locally made jewelry. Limited consignment items, with almost nothing size large or XL. Limited hours and zero appts to consign with them. Lots of potential, I guess. I'll check them out again, but on the fence for now. read more

I will never consign at this place again. I took in a pair of Doc Marten leather boots and they were donated without my knowledge or consent. The worst part is that they were donated after I was told by an employee that I didn't have to worry about my unsold items being donated and could swing by and pick them up whenever I had a chance. When you consign here you are given a card that has a pick-up date for your items that don't sell, I also was told that this date isn't firm. After calling and inquiring about my items I spoke to someone who I assume is the manager; she told me that the employee I spoke with doesn't work there anymore and that basically the owner didn't care and they wouldn't do anything for me. Doc Martens are not cheap. They donated my expensive boots that I could have sold elsewhere and didn't offer me anything to try and make up for it; how terrible would it have been to offer me a measly 25% off a single item? Especially when they are already making a ridiculous profit selling used clothes for full price. Really breaking the bank huh? This is supposed to be a high-end consignment shop; turns out the customer service is complete trash. There are plenty of other places to consign in Bend. Stay away from this place! read more

New location with quadruple the floor space. I managed to find four items of interest in under ten minutes?! The sales lady was very friendly and didn't even roll her eyes when I told her I left my wallet in the car. She started getting me rung up and by the time I returned with my wallet she had me all ready to go! Service has been inconsistent. Frustrating. read more

I LOVE thrift shopping. I have gone here 4 times hoping for a different experience and now I am sadly over it. I absolutely enjoy coming in to shop here. I always spend way too much time because of the huge selection of local artisans and consignment. You can find crazy abstract earrings paired with banana republic blazer and vintage hippie tank. The possibilities are endless. And as for the bad reviews they left me shocked just last week I went in and saw a pair of Paige jeans I bout at another local boutique for 187$ and at Cosa Cura they were 45$ and that goes for just about every name brand article they have. It's a win win for the people's selling their wares and those of us who love a great deal and enjoy everything about shopping. I am absolutely obsessed with Rescue! Not only is the staff hilarious and fun to shop with, they are VERY helpful. They except gently worn, trendy, and season appropriate items- which I love because I never feel like I am going to leave empty handed. I love that they have local labels which includes clothes, accessories, and fun decor. The owner Angela and the manager Lindsey (sp?) are always super cool to chat with, and I am in love with the shop dog (a black chihuahua). Most of the time I literally feel like I hit the jackpot when I leave. The pricing structure makes it really easy to gauge if you want to hold out on something or not. Again, I love this place. Clothes can be cute, really hit or miss. But they are very over priced for consignment.. I could get name brand clothes cheaper at the actual store when they have small sales going on.. sometimes you can find good deals, but most items are very over priced.. I feel like since the store was rebranded that the girls have gotten more snooty.. or is that just me? The one star is only because they do carry some local jewelry and artists things. I'm all about anything local! The store is always decorated incredibly and their new expanded space is beautiful. That being said the rest of their business is a joke. SHOPPING HERE: The prices are insane. Like many others have reviewed. They need to do a serious reevaluation of how they price. I don't buy anything here because it just pisses me off and it ruins thrift shopping. The whole point of buying something used is to NOT pay full price. The general rule of thumb is 1/3rd of the sale price. So a free people dress that was $120 new should not be sold used for $119.50! Buffalo Exchange in Portland is the perfect role model for a used clothing store!! I'll leave that store spending $200 and have 3 Lululemon pieces, a couple free people sweaters and a pair of frye boots. CONSIGNING: I've had many of the same issues as others with consigning here. My things have been "donated" without a call to pick them up. Many items have also gone missing and have been misplaced and "most likely donated" when I've come to pick things up. Stuff like new pants from anthropologie and frye boots. I now opt to give my clothes to family members or donate them myself or sell on poshmark rather than to consign here. THE STAFF: the best most helpful employee here is the old dog that runs around in the store. The rest of the staff doesn't want to be bothered with having to help you. They are too busy helping themselves to the clothes, arguing about who's prettier and planning their next Instagram picture. They impressively do always looked like they stepped out of a free people catalog. Sadly it's probably in clothes that were mysteriously donated or not good enough to sell but were kept anyway by the store. Don't waste your time or your money here. These employee's are very rude. We came in on the Sunday before Christmas to get a present and a dress. They hurried us to buy something. They closed at three and granted we arrived 20 mins before closing they should let customers who are willing to spend money shop. They rushed us out the store even when my girlfriend had a dress that she wanted to try on. Good customer service would be to try and accommodate their customers. Instead they did everything to get rid of us. Totally rude. I will never return to this store full of cheap shit. read more

Do not consign clothing here. They accepted two sun dresses for consignment out of a bag of rough 50 items and the sales associate assured me they would sell. After waiting a month, I checked back in only to be told that my items were damaged and were donated. They never even put them on the sale floor. I have been here a few times now since I've lived in Bend, and have never really had a completely satisfactory experience. First of all, their prices are ridiculous for a consignment store. I mean, I could walk out of here having paid $15 for an Old Navy t shirt when I could go to actual Old Navy on the other side of town and buy the same shirt new for $6. Maybe the store needs to do some research before pricing? Selling to them is also kind of confusing. When I dropped my clothes off in April, they said they would have my clothes on consignment for 90 days, after that they would contact me to pick up my clothes that didn't sell (you can also opt to have them donated if they don't sell). It's September now, and I just had to call them a few weeks ago because I couldn't wait any longer. And, to my dismay, my clothes had been donated without my prior approval. They only chose four or five items to sell, and I ended up making around $25, but that wasn't worth waiting months for. The customer service is less than average; I am never greeted upon my arrival even after having been shopping for several minutes even when I'm one of maybe two customers in the store. Not terribly impressed, however when the employees do decide to talk to me, they are generally nice. I will give the store this: it's cute, they have some neat selections, and the local art is pretty neat. But I would rather find my second-hand clothes at a place I know will have good deals and great customer service. Heck, TJ Maxx and Ross have things brand new for less than here. I wish I could love this store as much as everyone else! Bummer. read more

The workers are so snobby and make you feel like your not good enough. The clothes are used and even though most are in fair condition there WAY over prices don't trust their dollar rating. Honestly this place has gone terribly down hill... I have lived in Bend for 15 years and Rescue/cosa cura has changed into a store I don't want to share my business with anymore. The clothes you successfully consign completely depend on the sales person evaluating them... and some, I guess, have little to no knowledge of high end brands or zero appreciation for high quality vintage. The staff seems constantly overwhelmed, engulfed in social hour with coworkers or too busy to help you into a fitting room or even send a "hello" your way. I wish there were other consignment shops down town that had the "hip" vibe that Cosa Cura does... but without all the inconsistency and lack of costumer service. Out of the 20 items I have brought in of brands like Free people, vintage Levi's, vintage Doc Martens, Banana republic, Woolrich, Kimchi Blue from urban, Brandy Melville (brand new) and beautiful hand knit wool/alpaca sweaters from Ireland, 4 items were taken... one being a free people dress I personally cut in half. They have racks of complete trash clothing... rips.. stains.. copious amount of American Eagle and Mossimo? My question to them would be: what demographic are you trying to attract and sell to? My peers (18-25) are on the hunt for high quality vintage all the time and Brandy is a very popular brand with younger ladies. I'm just confused and pissed off. If anyone knows of other consignment places besides Bag Ladies, please put the good word out. Or if anyone has interest in starting one, please put the word out even louder. read more

Rescue? More like rescued from the dumpsters of Walmart and the like. I will NOT be returning. Went in today to consign some VERY nice clothes of mine. I washed them, checked for over wear, lint, hair, and pills. I later returned to find out that she took none of them saying they were "cheap" and "over worn." I'm sorry, but brands like American Eagle, Hollister, Ed Hardy, and Olive are not cheap. Not to mention how well I had taken care of them. Prior to that I looked around while she was judging my clothes, and noticed some of the crappy brands Rescue had to offer such as Faded Glory (Wal-Mart) and Merona. (Target) But I guess MY brands were too cheap. HAHAHAHA. Okay. Don't give this hypocritical business any of your time or money. Snotty customer service and pit stained nasty smelling garments. Gross. Go just next door to Rebel Resale. I brought in all 20 items and she took in 19 of them. Fair enough. Not to mention how sweet and reasonably priced her store was. The women who work here seem kind of bitter and like they assume to know high fashion. Please. They refused to accept my Fossil wallet. Also their store is way overstocked with tasteless clothing. I'd recommend they'd donate or do a dollar sale soon. I typically don't write reviews and really hate leaving a negative one. I have my own business and know how it feels to receive negative feedback. With that said if I have an unhappy customer I do my best to remedy the situation. I consigned here and was never given information on when to return so I stopped back in after a couple of months and one of my items sold but they had zero record of the other two items they accepted. They had no record of accepting, selling or donating them. I was very sad since they were nice items. A couple of the girls seemed genuinely concerned but when calling over the manager or owner I simply got a half caring "sorry" and she went about her business. Im not as upset about my missing items as I am with the customer service. Had this been my business I would have at least offered some in store credit or found the girl who accepted my items to see if she had any recollection. I will no longer consign or shop here. read more
