Tyler and Tricia with the sales team were instrumental in the success of the project from the start. I cannot speak highly enough about Rodney Roybal, our building supervisor who brought all of the pieces together to create our dream home. He is timely with his communication and even helped us get moved in early in order to meet our schedule for moving from out of state. I had read some horror stories about building supervisors however Rodney is a consummate professional who cares about providing families with quality workmanship and service.

After a weekend of trying hopeless workarounds on my own (i.e. breaking more than I was fixing) I found Aidan on Yelp and sent him a desperate email detailing our situation. His timeliness was greatly appreciated. His attention to detail and high skill level is obvious in his work. I was very impressed ! We hired AMG Decks and Arbors to replace a poorly constructed two level deck built by another…read morecompany. That was the smartest choice I have made when hiring anyone. His attention to detail and knowledge of deck building is superior. All the joints are tight, the screws (no nails) evenly spaced and everything is plumb and level. These may seem like little details but it all adds to a beautiful finished product. As a home inspector I see many decks with undersized posts, poor support and inferior products which are used to saving on material costs. Aidan's construction techniques are rock solid which is important since the upper level is 17 feet high. I am pretty sure this deck will outlast me. Aidan also recommended some features I had not considered such as a rain catchment system so we can now sit on the lower deck during and enjoy the rain. He also installed a stainless steel cable rail which allows an unobstructed view of the back yard and green belt. You may be able to find a cheaper deck builder who will slap up some boards onto the back of your house but I pretty sure you will not find who builds a better deck.

Top Notch can do almost anything you need done for your house and they'll do it for a reasonable price and at the time they said they would do it! It's even nicer that both Lana and Robert are great at responding to emails and texts as s that can make it WAY easier to communicate while you're stuck at work. I talked to Robert for about ten minutes. He didn't want to do quotes on evenings or weekends, but my husband and I both work. He eventually said "my wife will kill me, but I'll do it on an evening." He then said we both have to be there in case my husband and I argue and disagree on the work he does, and he couldn't put himself in a position between married people. That sounded a little weird to me, but he sounded nice otherwise, so I figured I'd give him a shot at the work. The next day, I got a voicemail from his wife canceling our appointment saying that we "weren't a good fit for them." I just wish they'd been honest from the beginning and not wasted my ten minutes writing down every detail of the work I wanted and all my contact information and where I'd heard of them if they were just going to cancel immediately afterward. The whole encounter was weird.
