Delicious, diner-line food while visiting Hoover Dam! The food was quite good. There is a limited amount of indoor seating and the flow is off but the food is worth it. Loved it!

The food is good but the pretzels are cheap. The service was average and the food took long. It was really loud and crammed in there.

in my opinion, having to find a delicious foodie gem at a touristy location is such a wonderful thing. Yes, we were doing the touristy thing by stopping in to Hoover dam tour when I found myself in this 'Dam Cafe'. Everything here seemed fairly ordinary and like any other tourist trap. Except this one has proved me completely wrong. Ordered a burger and triple decker truly without much expectation. Paid the tourist price for each dish and waited a while. I noticed when I was picking up the food. Hefty! plates were not light like I expected them to be. Portions were very generous. Burger was juicy and actually delicious! But the french fries under the burger were even better . Yum... couldn't believe this was a burger being served at a tourist cafe. Patties were decently thick and cooked just right (Not a fan of over cooked meat). Triple decker was very generous in portion with lots of bacon, good slices of tomatoes and lots of shredded lettuce. Bread was nicely toasted and did not taste stale. It's such a wonderful feeling when you can actually get a delicious meal that justifies the spending at a touristy place.

We had a dam great lunch at the cafe! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was excellent. I had a chicken Caesar wrap, the chicken was seasoned and cooked really well, My partner had the Dam Burger which was also top notch with super fresh produce and again cooked to perfection. Although this is a place for a quick lunch, in a location that you may not expect great food or service, we were really impressed with both. Great job!!!

Cheerful and talkative staff at the cafe made it fun. Food was hit and well prepared. Prices were not exorbitant.

I stop by the Hoover Dam Cafe for a quick kunch as I waited for my DAM tour. The place is a greasy diner with a spectacular view. Classical diner menu with some sparse healthier additions for those watching their calories. We had both their breakfast burrito and double cheeseburger and fries. Neither was remarkable in any shape or form. If this was a restaurant in town, particularly in Vegas, you wouldn't drive out of your way to eat here. What is remarkable and much appreciated about the Hoover Dam Cafe is how affordable it is. You don't need to break the bank if you are hungry and have an hour or so to kill before your DAM tour. That can't be said about many touristy spots nowadays. Hopefully the future brings aome gourmet additions to the menu.

I made the mistake of not stopping to eat before I got here. I shared a cheese dam burger. Funny how the food here had Dam in it. Loved it! Luckily at 12pm there was not much of a line. After ordering you wait for your order to come out from the grill unless you get an item from the fridge (salads, wraps, etc). We stood up and a couple offered their table. We thanked them. There are not many tables to sit at inside and they did have more tables outside to sit at. I wanted to sit indoor since it was so hot out there. I enjoyed the air conditioning. The cheeseburger was decent and so were the fries. You can't beat the convenience of having this place here. I agree with the other reviews the prices may be high.

Really, packaged everything, nothing special about getting a bite to eat at the Cafe. Every table was empty. Guess when nobody can take a tour since they have been suspended, there are no desire to hang around and get a bite to eat.

Wasn't expecting much, assuming that it was just a place to feed as many people as possible. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good. I really enjoyed the onion rings, since they were the beer batter type. A little expensive, but if you need a quick bite after walking around the dam, this is a good choice.

Went to see Hoover Dam and got thirsty... ended up getting the grilled cheese, footling hot dog and mozzarella sticks... all yummy!!! Very happy with the food. And you can sit outside with a view of the bridge that's across from the dam.

So irritated. We came in at 3:45 to see the sign "Kitchen Closed". But you're open until 5. Why bother being open?

We ordered two cappuccinos, a mocha, two Berries crepes, and the Short Rib Sandwich. The cappuccinos were perfectly balanced with rich espresso and silky foam, while the mocha was smooth, chocolatey, and not overly sweet. The Berries crepes were incredible -- topped with fresh berries, wild berry sauce, and whipped cream, light yet indulgent at the same time. The Short Rib Sandwich completely stole the show: tender braised short rib with Gruyère cheese, Dijon mayo, and arugula tossed in citrus sauce on warm ciabatta. Every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Even with the Mother's Day rush, the atmosphere still felt warm and charming, like a little French café tucked away in Henderson. You could tell the staff was hustling nonstop, but the food and experience never suffered. This place lives up to the hype and then some. We'll definitely be back.

The decor inside is charming, and the set-up is pretty casual - you order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. We came on a weekday morning and the service was quick. Good amount of indoor seating, and plenty of parking in the square. We were interested in the short rib shakshouka, but unfortunately they were out when we visited! Decided to go for a prosciutto sandwich instead, along with a latte and almond croissant. Prosciutto Sandwich ($15.99, 4.5/5) - Big fan of the bread they use here! - Flavors were light and fresh - Good portion size for the price Latte ($5.99, 5/5) - Solid latte, paired well with the almond croissant. Almond croissant ($6.25, 4.5/5) - Nice crunch on the outside, topped with almond slices - Almond filling with just the right consistency. A little on the sweeter side, but worked out well with our coffee to balance it out. Overall, had a great time at Cafe Du Val and would definitely come back again to try other items on the menu!

There are about 3 small tables outside and about 5-6 tables inside. Each one can sit only about 2-3 people, so unless you are picking up to go, this won't work for a large group. The decor was fun and colorful. The kitchen area had a lot of open/extra space so I'm guessing this was a bakery before and the new owners didn't remodel much to keep the cost to open down. They could probably get another 4+ tables in here if they did. Not a negative, just an observation. The menu was filled with interesting stuff. We landed on 3 very different things. There was a sweet potato bowl on the menu that looked tasty, and while reviewing the menu I watched one get delivered to a table and it looked delicious and it was ENORMOUS! I wasn't sure I wanted to each that much so I went with a chicken wrap, my wife ordered a pizza, and my sister in law ordered a "small" salad. We decided to sit outside and they brought us our food and a sample of the soup of the day as a complementary treat (or it was included with our orders, not 100% sure) the soup was a ham/lentil/bacon recipe and it was delicious. My wrap was pretty tasty too, it could have used something to add crunch, maybe wonton strips or something like that. The flavor was great though. My wife's pizza was a bit too cheesy and slightly undercooked, but it was still tasty. If we ordered that again I'd probably ask they cooked it a couple minutes longer. The "small" salad was HUGE! I can't imagine what the large is like and I can't believe the price for what you get there. It looked amazing and fresh. My sister in law said it was very good. Overall I do think they have a couple things to work on but I loved the experience and I would come again if I was in the area. It was an incredible value for the quality of the food and that's why I'm still giving them 5 stars. For about $35 it was an absolute steal for 3 people.

I was first turned on to CRCR by good friend and former owner of Bread and Butter Chris Herrin. A few months later while dining at Eat in downtown, I enjoyed that same delicious smooth cuppa joe,(unfortunatey, both B&B and Eat no longer use them) and knowing that they were in Boulder City, I knew one of these days I HAD TO go straight to the source. Pulling up to their storefront, it looks like nothing from the outside but as you enter, the smell of roasting coffee beans hit you like WOW!!! We met Don and Erik Anderson who are responsible for making some of the most delicious coffee you will have ever tasted(if you haven't yet). They were even nice enough to give us a little behind the scenes tour and explain their delicate roasting process using state of the art equipment (infrared heat, not open fire) and even offered tips on how to enjoy their product in the best possible way. We decided to grab a bag of one of Eirk's favorite blends-Bolivia: Amor De Dios, a 12 ounce bag for $10. If you're looking for a specific characteristic, flavor, etc. they have other blends available and Erik will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. If you haven't had a taste of Colorado River Coffee Roasters, places like Grouchy John's, Great Harvest Bread Company, and Sambalatte have their own blends from CRCR that they serve up. You may also purchase coffee from CRCR online which will be delivered right to your doorstep, or better yet, take a drive to Boulder City and go straight to the source and get an even fresher product! Here are some helpful tips that Erik and Don suggested: COFFEE: DO NOT grind the beans fine...a coarse grind is suggested WATER: DO NOT boil your water!... 200 degrees Farenheit... no higher! EQUIPMENT: No fancy equipment/gadgets here- a FRENCH PRESS is their weapon of choice, and how Erik and Don enjoy the fruits of their labor.... DOSAGE: Start with an equal ratio of 1 gram beans to 1 gram water and steep for 4 minutes...if it isn't strong enough, increase the beans to your liking STORAGE: Store beans in a cool, dark place....DO NOT refrigerate or freeze!!! BEST BY: Enjoy within 1 MONTH of purchase Erik and Don have also been chosen as one of the top seeded companies to compete later this year on the National level in Seattle with the best in the country. Best of luck to Erik and Don who have single handedly put Nevada on the coffee map, and forget the big chains....BUY LOCAL!!!! ALOHA!!!
