Ever since moving to the Lake Las Vegas area I have driven past this cute place and been wanting to…read moretry it. We stopped in for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised on the cute Farm style decor that was all over the place. The chef and the owner greeted us very friendly and we were seated right away. I had the two egg breakfast and we shared a very French toast that was amazing. My husband ordered the breakfast sandwich both entrées were served with either bacon or sausage. The potatoes were homestyle and with tons of flavor! The berry French toast was incredible! The flavors were amazing and you could tell that it had a hint of vanilla and the mascarpone whipped cream was nothing I had ever tasted! The coffee is freshly ground on site and the coffee cup was a generous size. The only thing is that they do not carry decaf coffee so my husband had to settle for an espresso which was a little overpriced. It was explained to us that there is not enough traffic to brew a whole pot of decaf coffee as it's not very popular which is completely understandable. Another nice touch was that the chef came over to our table, checked on us and thanked us for coming in. I can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu!

I love that part of the restaurant is set up like a cozy Bristo, with couches and chairs. You can order your coffee and pastries without having to go into the restaurant side. We ate breakfast and it was all delicious! Eggs, potatoes, omelettes, speciality coffee, service, all outstanding! The decor is really cute and comfortable. There is also a patio. I highly recommend this place, we will be back!!!!

It's definitely good for families I had the biscuit and gravy which were served with eggs, spuds and bacon or sausage. I didn't know that the eggs were cooked and butter so they were a little rich for me but the biscuits and gravy were amazing. I believe that the biscuits were made on site and the gravy is homemade. The amount of bacon that was served was a very generous amount. My husband ordered pancakes and they were huge as they took up the whole plate. Tons of flavor and extremely fluffy!

The omelets are hearty and well cooked, and it is the kind of place where you will not leave hungry. Everything felt familiar and comforting, which is a big part of the appeal. Service was friendly and efficient, especially considering how busy it gets. The staff clearly knows how to keep things moving while still being attentive. The only reason this is not a full five stars is that while the food is very good, it is more classic than standout. That said, if you are looking for a dependable, no-nonsense breakfast with great portions and fair prices, Omelet House is an easy recommendation and a place I would gladly return to.

Stopped by this coffee shop in the Water Street District on a Friday mid-morning, and had a nice…read moreexperience overall. Parking was easy. There's plenty of street parking and nearby lots. I found a space and only had about a two-minute walk to Public Works. The space is industrial but cozy, and I love the little community library in the red phone booth. That's such a cute touch and very on-brand for a neighborhood spot. It also turns into a wine bar at night. I ordered the iced matcha honey latte with almond milk. It was good, but definitely on the sweeter side. Almost milkshake-like. (Not frozen, just thicker and sweeter than a traditional matcha). I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for an earthy or classic matcha. The texture was a bit grainy with some settling at the bottom, and I did get a small clump in one sip. Not a big deal, just noticeable. If I had to guess, they use a pre-sweetened matcha powder. They don't advertise having pure or ceremonial matcha, so I'm not too pressed. Just sharing my experience. Service was quick and I got my drink within just a few minutes. There's plenty of indoor seating plus a spacious, dog-friendly patio. The vibe is very social and family-friendly, with lots of conversation, families, and groups. I personally wouldn't come here to study or work, but it seems like a great spot to meet with friends or family, or just a casual coffee run. I'd come back when I'm in the mood for something sweet. I'm curious to try the Cuban latte next time since it gets so much love. I'm glad I checked this place out.

They just seem to know what makes coffee Work…read more Public Works is a coffee bar that has called Henderson's Water Street home for years and years. I remember visiting once but maybe or maybe not buying a drink, then just never returning since it was a bit out of the water. But I relocated to a closer Henderson neighborhood and started checking out some of the nearby casinos, and it just seemed like a good idea to stop by today... and take advantage of a casino partnership as well. I tried two drinks. The Cold Brew ($7.00, 24 oz) felt like a dark roast at first but expressed mostly fruity notes later on. It was certainly smooth and low in bitterness and acidity. I also wanted to try a latte since that tends to be where these cafes get the most creative. The Cuban Honey ($7.00, 16 oz) was the recommendation of the employee at the register, and it was simple and tasty enough. Milk, honey, and cinnamon are some very classic and comforting flavors, and they're beautifully balanced in this latte. I was also interested in trying a quiche ($5.95), so I did. They come as a compact "personal" size and apparently just get heated warm for you even if you're taking them to-go. The Florentine is definitely spinach-forward but also seems to have mushrooms and caramelized onions. The crust is suitable, the egg custard isn't the most amazing, and it leans a bit salty overall, but it's an enjoyable food option. I probably blew past the parking lot which I'm vaguely aware of, but that's because parking was actually available on the street. Some spots were marked for 12 min only, but there were plenty of open unmarked spots a few yards up. The place was almost empty around Saturday lunch too. I have no idea why since it seemed quiet enough for a study or work spot. Public Works has filled a coffee-seeking niche in this area of Henderson for a long time, and hopefully they'll do so for years to come. If you play at Emerald Island or Rainbow Club, ask the casino about using points here since it's as good as money.

Our hungry table of six sat inside on a slow Tuesday night. If I remember correctly, we were some of the only people in the restaurant. However, we had great table service and we all left stuffed to the brim! Living up to the name, their biscuits were delicious. As someone who grew up in the South, and doesn't necessarily eat too much of this cuisine anymore, I was really impressed with their biscuits. Fluffy on the inside, flaky on the outside. Their variety of jams and butters made it fun for trying new flavors. Really good stuff! I'm a sucker for brisket and had to order the brisket plate. It comes with two side so I opted for mac & cheese and baked beans. The brisket was tender and flavorful. Both sides were solid, as well. It's a huge portion of food! I had their house old fashioned, which they happen to have on tap. They're a bourbon joint after all! This was priced great at $12, just too sweet for my personal taste. If you want some Southern cooking, I'd definitely recommend paying them a visit. Wear your stretchy pants!!!

I arrived around lunch time there was only a couple other patrons and I was welcomed in by the staff. The server was very attentive if not a bit over attentive consistently checking if I needed anything or wanted more coffee which meant I had as much coffee as I wanted and I had a lot since it is pretty tasty. As for the food itself I ordered a stack of the banana walnut pancakes with strawberries & whipped cream and in a combo with eggs, sausage and garlic potatoes. The food was good I enjoyed the garlic potatoes a lot and the pancakes were also decent however not much of a banana flavor was to be found unfortunately. I did walk away satisfied with my meal and not finishing all of it due to the large portion of the pancakes the only real sticking point was the cost prior to tip being close to $28 which is a bit much for breakfast although I ordered one of the pricier items but making coffee or any other drink $4 is pricey compared to similar breakfast/brunch establishments. As compared to the emerald island grille which I view as the closest competitor pacific diner is better in quality their coffee alone is way better than anything at Emerald however the cost is much higher especially for most breakfast items where the cost is double that of the same item at Emerald. Overall I would recommend trying this place out and I will return to try some of the other menu items I am interested in.
