Okay. I waited just about 24 hours to post this. This happened on Sunday Aug 2nd 2026 at around 1:30pm. My friend and I popped in to Winchell's Pub and Grill for a beer and wings. We sat in the "bar" area. At that time there were around 5 patrons sitting at the bar proper playing video poker and the like. Pretty quite. We sat at the bar tables and not at the bar because usually those are reserved for people playing video poker, in most taverns it is. No big deal. My friend went to the bar and asked the server about getting a couple of beers. She was polite and came out from the bar to serve us. She took the beer and wing order. She also asked if we'd like waters. Yes thank you and my friend asked for lemon with his water. And this is where it went down hill and fast. She came out with the two beers and water but no lemon. My friend asked about the lemon and she apologized for not having already with his water. No big deal, at this point. The wings come out and again. No lemon. My friend goes up to the bar, a scant under 5 feet away from our bar table and nicely asks again for his lemon. At this point, she could have just put a few in a small cup and this would be the end. Nope. She says she'll bring some around. At this point. The number of patrons at the bar is still sitting at 5. All happily playing video poker. There doesn't seem like a lot needs to be done with them at this point. I even saw the server putting on lip gloss or whatever. Now the server gets to bringing over the lemon that was missing from the beginning of the order. Well, we got read the riot act. She begins to tell us that, if we want to have somebody waiting on them at a moments notice, we should have gone to the resturant portion of the Pub and Grill because there are more people to help and that she is all by herself. This is verbatim. The people that are playing poker at the bar are priority not the people sitting at the tables. Next time you're just eating and drinking go to the restaurant portion of the establishment not the bar she explained. Well, my friend just so happens to be a bartender and said, yes, you've got to do some juggling, I get it. But to have to ask three times to get something that should have been included with the order that showed up is on the server. Then to basically tell us, your presences here in the bar is of low priority is an insult. Sucking up to the patrons that gamble so you get a bigger tip is on you love. You run the bar area, all the patrons are your priority. I didn't pay the bill my friend did and by the way of his reaction to it all, I'm sure the tip was close to ZERO. If this is indicative of the bar staff at this and all other locations, my hard earned money will be going elsewhere where. read more

Yes it's clean and spacious. Yes the service is super good, thanks Lindsey! Yes it's comfortable but it's the little details that make this a 5 star spot! Like having the correct grind of pepper in the shakers. Like the picks in the sandwich see photos, not the annoying plastic grill type that fall off in your food.i don't know who the manager here is but he or she pays attention to details! We tried this place because I saw they had Chicken Fried Chicken, one of my faves & Winchell's did not disappoint! Everyone's meals was great & we got outstanding service from Travis! The restaurant was nice, clean & had soft music...plus everyone in there at 4:30 were 55+, I mean EVERYONE, including us lol! Meeting friends for an informal meal before "going out" for the evening. We asked to be seated in the newer section of the restaurant which was remodeled since we were last here (which was pretty empty probably because there were a couple of ball games on so the bar was pretty crowded). Service was excellent throughout the meal. I ordered the Cuvée salad. My wife got the Cobb. Both were large portions. Price was reasonable. A very good spot for casual dining. read more

Have always said I love the Rueben here but last night it was the worst I've experienced. It was some sort of pepperoni dice up. So sad!!

Always a good place to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Food always cooked right and comes out hot. The staff is wonderful and very friendly along with the service. It was probably just our bad timing.... Breakfast was almost over and we ordered biscuits & gravy which wasn't a good white creamy gravy , it was just too thick but the country steak was good. Gravy was cold. Biscuits hard. Hash browns delicious, eggs were supposed to be easy over but was overcooked, bacon and toast was good. However Hanna was the best Waittress! Always smiling and helpful anyway she could be. Very classy lady, when we were honest with her she handled it very well even telling us not to tip her, she was just the sweetest thing. How could you not?!! My husband was very disappointed with his biscuits and gravy. He was not going to return, but since Hannah was so sweet, we told her we'd give it another try! We are here for our family dinner. So far Travis was great. Only part should be added in to his service asking for any allergies just to be safe for both customers and restaurants liability. It would be wonderful. Foods kinda decent, service and attentiveness almost up to par. Liam was great, he always stopped by and asked if everything ok. Would be better if they are starting making a connection with the guests and talking or asking opinion for feedback of foods and service. No music in the background even knew I already noticed and let them know if any music supposed to be hearing during dinner hours. Sending out wrong items to the table is not acceptable, I understand the mistaken but it could cause the kitchen delay for the other table who their foods sent to the other table and got to sent back which it supposed to be trashing than put it back and sent it to the correct table. Over all, just need more attention and details to run the restaurant. I have been in this industry for so long and I knew how things work to keep the customer coming. Anyhow, a bit of improvement will win more customer's heart to repeat coming back. read more

If you're driving around on Christmas looking for a casual meal, you'll be happy Winchell's is open because most places were not! This was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. Very nice menu with reasonable prices. Both our french dip and cobb salad were great. Most of all, the service! Hannah gets 5 stars! She is friendly, welcoming, and efficient. This used to be our go to place for good food. Lately the food quality has been slipping. Just ordered the turkey club to go. Got it home (5 minute drive) and the romaine lettuce was turning brown and almost slimy! I know things are tight right now but this is why the place was almost empty on a Sunday at 11:45am. Haven't been here in ages; it has been completely remodeled. I was craving a salad so had their awesome Cuvee Salad. A former Chef invented it. It's a dark leafy green with diced apples (2 types), walnuts, diced heart of palm, diced Gouda, whole grapes and served with a Champagne Viniagrette. $13.99 and worth every penny. Excellent. Hubby had the Patty Melt with Potato Salad. He had to pepper the Potato Salad; he had to add S&P to the Patty Melt. Otherwise, it was very good and prepared as ordered. Cody was an excellent server. I like the new interior; there are fewer tables so they are further apart. After we ate, we went into the bar and played video poker. We tried four different machines but they were cold. I don't think we put $200 in before deciding "that's enough." Wendy is still after all these years running the bar. It was nice to have that bit of stability. read more

I'm dumbfounded at how this place rates at 3 1/2 stars? I've been to Winchell's Pub & Grill twice in the last two weeks. This place is not far from home and I literally pass it month after month with no regard! Upon walking in you can tell it was once a different type of restaurant than your typical pub style place. The bar side which is glassed off from the regular restaurant, which is protocol since they have gaming and a restaurant for families, is actually really nice looking and very clean lines! The restaurant itself is very clean, really spacious, and has various nooks for you to be able to eat without much interference if that is what you're seeking. My 1st stop ever was for lunch and my choice was the San Francisco BLT. It was outstanding! The sourdough was excellent, the bacon was plentiful and not real thin, and the added avocado was a nice touch! My 2nd stop was for dinner just a few days ago and my choice was the San Francisco Burger! You see a theme here? Just by accident! The sourdough though had me craving a burger and it didn't disappoint! The 1/2 lb burger was definitely that, it was cooked to a perfect medium temperature, the avocado and 1.000island dressing simply topped the whole thing off! Once again, we had a wonderful dinner here at Winchell's Pub & Grill. They always have a special menu on holidays. Valentines Day, St Patrick's Day, Christmas Eve & so on. We arrived about 4:00 & the dining area had a few folks in it, but not crowded at all. The place had some Christmas decorations up, but not a lot. They've done a better job in the past. Jennifer was our waitress & did great, walking us to our booth, getting us menus & taking our orders. Tonight we had a choice of honey baked ham, or grilled salmon or prime rib. Of course each had side dishes of potatoes & veggies. The Mrs & I both went with the prime rib (medium rare thank you) with au gratin potatoes & asparagus. First off I've been a chef to all over Las Vegas. I went to cooking school and I know the trade well. We arrived around dinner time and the place was empty other than the bar. I ordered prime rib medium and it came blood rare. It took 30 minutes for us to get our food and when we were finished the waitress said I forgot to bring your clam chowder. The first thing I noticed when we came in the door is it smelled like somebody had been peeing in there. This comes from old carpet and you should never ever have carpet in a restaurant. Carpet promotes bacteria. For a $30 cut of prime rib this was the worst experience I've had in a long time dining out. It became obvious the owner doesn't care about the dining experience but more about the bar if I own this place I would invest some money and completely turn it around. For a restaurant in Las Vegas to be empty at 6 PM on a Friday night other than the bar something is definitely wrong and it usually starts with management and ownership. read more

Hot and crispy! Sauce was good - I personally won't call it hot. It was more of a mild to medium but tastes good. I had the philly cheesesteak with potato salad - yum! Melted cheese, lots of veggies. Went as a solo diner around 5pm on a Thursday, took around 7 minutes to be seated, got to my seat. I'm not a big drinker, nor am I a bartender, I asked for a fruity vodka drink whatever they recommend (as I always do) they have a full bar, no drink menu. He then said "there are no such thing as a fruity vodka drink" I said okay.. I'll take whatever you recommend, he gave me a vodka & sprite, no worries. I drank my drink pretty fast, and ordered some food. When my food arrived I ordered another drink and drank it with my food, this time I did google fruity vodka drinks, and was listed with 10+ drinks I've had previously, again I just don't remember names like that.. Was not checked in at all during this, I had to call someone over for a third drink (after I ate my food, and had a few waters) he said I was cut off.. For the record, I was sitting in the corner by myself, I had one AirPod in watching my podcast, I wasn't talking, being loud, just sitting there peacefully. Never in my life have I ever been cut off (again, after TWO drinks which tasted nothing like alcohol) nor experienced such bad service in my life. I would never recommend anyone coming here, luckily we're in an area I just walked down the street and went to a LOVELY Village Pub. Save your money & time, do not come here. read more

I love Winchell's and eat there often, but today I found out that there are no separate checks for parties over 6. When I asked the server, I was told that it was a management decision. It was even true if we dined at two completely separate tables! We have three slightly different groups that eat out each once per week and we're hoping that Winchell's would be one of our regular places since the price is right, the food is great, and the restaurant area is clean and quiet. In the largest group, we have 10 people, but need only five checks. Other than that seven is the max. Even though more than 90% of the time, we have six or less, we'll have to take our business elsewhere, I guess N.B. We generally, as a whole, tip considerably more than average read more

I've been coming here the last couple months with my wife and the service is impeccable. You get greeted with a smile the foods terrific portions are nice. Oh wait is Travis and Cody are exceptional. All the service personnel here are pleasant, and the service is outstanding. Today I walked out of hummus because they did not even review with a smile. The food looked horrible and weren't even with knowledge for seven minutes. We turned our car around and went right to Winchell's. I ordered a medium rare cheeseburger and my wife ordered a Chinese Chicken Salad. My cheeseburger was overcooked. When I brought it to the waitress's attention she said, "Looks good to me". And, the chicken in my wife's Chinese Chicken Salad was also overcooked. My wife was reluctant to mention due to the Waitresses attitude. I found it unbelievable that a waitress would disagree with a regular customer and say, "Looks OK to me???
