The inside is typically nice and chill; an ideal environment to grab a cocktail or two and conversate with a date, coworker, group of friends, whatever. Out of all the bars I have been to in Midland, I think Buffalo Nickel has the best selection of whiskey especially. I am not a huge whiskey aficionado but I have heard from ones that this is the place to go. I am more of a tequila and beer guy and they have everything I want. The unique thing about this bar is that the back patio is smoke-friendly. I am guilty of wanting some nicotine after some drinks so this is a great place for me. There was no apology or acknowledgment that we had just waited over an hour without ever getting our food. I understand that mistakes happen, but customer service is what makes the difference. A simple apology or even just showing a little empathy would have completely changed how we left feeling. Instead, we walked out feeling like we were an inconvenience.
