I was really craving some Chinese food so I decided to doordash from here for lunch. I got their Orange Chicken lunch combo, came with fried rice and an egg roll. The orange chicken was good but the fried rice was not good at all. The rice seemed different from regular fried rice with no flavor. I tried to doctor it up with the soy sauce packet and the side of chili oil I got. Didn't help at all. I am giving this place 3 stars for the Orange Chicken since it was decent. We ordered from Hong Kong Restaurant since it was one of the few Chinese food options in Uber Eats that was a close drive to us. I'm not super impressed with their food. It was fine. Honestly, I had started this review at three stars, but the more I reflect, the fewer stars I want to give it. We ordered the Fried Wontons; I was not expecting it to be deep-fried. It was the kind of fried that seemed like it was fried previously and then fried again. There was hardly any filling. The sauce seemed like they poured a lot of stir fry sauce from a jar. We got the Chicken and Broccoli as well. It's pretty standard, so not much to comment on here. It lacked flavor. We also got the Singapore Rice Noodles. I had expected it to be spicier to be honest. It tasted powdery, almost like they slapped on curry powder and didn't add anything to make it stick to the noodles. It was very dry. They've also opened a "Taste of Cajun" restaurant under the same roof? Huge red flag for me. There's no way a kitchen can maintain that many different ingredients fresh. I really should have listened to yelp and not google or grubhub... In all honesty, my options were slim since I was ordering at 7pm on a Saturday night... I ordered two "Chef Specialties" of the seafood "panfried noodles" and Spicy beef and scallops, Hunan style. The panfried noodles were actually those overly dried chow mein noodles that you get at the grocery store placed on the very bottom with a ton of imitation crab, peapods,broccoli, carrots, and some shrimp and a few scallops. Super salty, very little flavor. Since it was in a gravy, the noodles were soggy and bland. For $17.85, what a joke. Burning money would have been more environmental. The "spicy" beef and scallops hunan style was NOT spicy at all, had more vegetables than meat, and had really no flavor other than salt. I added sriracha and other spices to doctor it up and make it palatable. $16.95. Again, burning money would have been more environmental. First of all, I appreciate that they have online ordering, which could alleviate some of the phone order issues that some others have noted in their reviews. It's a little clunky and their site isn't very mobile friendly, but I just used my desktop and had an easier time. For those choosing to pick up, the online process makes it appear that you are getting delivery because it makes you enter your address and it says something about shipping your order to that address, but it is just a function of a poorly designed setup. Once you place the order, you'll get a confirmation email and it will note "shipping options: pick up". A tad confusing, yes, but that's why you were smart to read my review first! My order was ready in 15 minutes or less, as I showed up about 15 minutes after placing it and my food was sitting there ready to go when I arrived. It was a pretty basic order of an entree General's chicken, cream cheese wontons, and teriyaki chicken skewers. All told, $22 after tax. Not a bad price for a large quantity of food. My wife and I both had dinner and I still have a couple skewers and plenty of chicken and rice leftover for lunch. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. I even remarked to my wife that it may have been the first time I have ever had fresh teriyaki skewers in my life! So used to the dried out buffet style ones (aka Chinese jerky), it was a pleasant surprise. The General's chicken was good, not great, and the cream cheese wontons were basic, though quite delicious. All in all, I would recommend Hong Kong to others; perhaps with the added recommendation to order online and pick it up yourself. I ordered the general tso combo plate, and the steamed chicken dumplings. Over all it was ok, average Chinese take out. The chicken dish was way sweeter than I expected but I did love the heat level. I ordered medium heat and it has a slight linger which is nice. The dish came with a sole piece of broccoli, one, I was expecting more I have to say. The rice is dry but has seven flavor. The dumplings are great, would have preferred a different kind of sauce for dipping. If you're looking for Chinese take it's good but don't expect anything to blow your mind away. read more

I really was not too impressed with this place. The food was good but it's a take out Chinese restaurant. You go there, you have an idea on what you already want, and then you order. I was told 10-15 minutes for my order to be finished. A half an hour later I ended up with some cold sesame chicken and cold won tons, which are not very appetizing. But still edible. Living in BP this is one of the only Chinese joints my girlfriend and I can get to deliver. I love generals Tsao's so I'm pretty picky and I don't like theirs, so instead I've regularly gotten their Mongolian beef with a couple egg rolls and I haven't been disappointed. My better half will switch it up between chicken and broccoli and the lo mein and she's always happy. I took 3 bites from my chicken lo mein and couldn't eat anymore. The shole dish tasted like old fish even the rice tasted like fish it was awful. The General Tso's chicken had very little taste. Also. All the chicken was stuck together like it was in a frozen hunk of chicken. Also there were bones in the chicken still :l The chicken and broccoli was tasteless I am very disappointed. I've had food delivered from here many times. If I'm craving Chinese food and don't want to drive, this is the spot. You can eat at the restaurant but the dining area is tiny. My go-to dishes from this restaurant is the Mongolian Beef, General Tso's chicken, and their Yang Chow Fried Rice. I've never had a problem with their delivery and their food is consistently pretty good. Their chicken wings are very good and I've had their hot and sour soup whenever I had a cold or sore throat. If you want good, classic Chinese food then order from here. They also have a website you can order food from as well. They have a large menu but I just stick to my go-to dishes. The only time I wasn't satisfied was when I ordered their chicken pad Thai. I asked for it Thai Hot but the dish was barely spicy.
