We ordered lobster dumplings. They were transparent with a slimy mouthfeel. A bit fishy tasting and totally unappetizing. We also shared an orange salad that was good. I recognize this is a chain and my expectations are pretty mid, BUT. Hitting below expectations is a surprise. I ordered the Spicy Chicken with lo mein noodles medium spicy. It was OK but there were waaay too many peanuts. RC ordered the Sichuan Beef spice level Hot and instead it had no spice at all. He was pretty disappointed. The BBQ Short Ribs were good I thought but RC said the sauce was too sweet. For some reason my chicken came with an egg roll I didn't order; I gave it to RC and he thought it was just ok. Plenty of parking at the Maple Grove location. In full disclosure we went on one of the busiest nights of the year in the restaurant industry...Christmas Eve. The staff was friendly and very apologetic which is the only reason for the two stars. Let's just say the kitchen was very far behind. We had a reservation at 5:15pm...got seated at 5:30...left the restaurant at 7:55pm. Order: Chefs feast. Seemed like the best deal. $19.99 per person starting price. You get a choice of starter: egg drop soup, hot sour soup or house salad. Split an appetizer. Medium potion entree. Hot sour soup was just ok. No real depth of flavor. Appetizer: Pork egg rolls were good. Tasty filling and great crunch. Dipping sauce was weird... balance was off between sweet, sour and salty. Entree: fire cracker shrimp..upcharge of $4. Danger danger do not order. Just blah. Tasted like out of a frozen packet and heated in the microwave. Overall: staff was great and friendly under the circumstances..they knew the kitchen was in the weeds and did good damage control. Unfortunately the food itself was not worth the wait on this night. I felt bad for the people waiting to be seated when we left..I wanted to say something but remembered that progressive commercial about not being like your parents and trying to over help in situations.. Oh P.F. Change what happened?? 12 of us had a reservation on Mothers Day. You knew we were coming coming. We waited for over 1 hour 15 minutes for our food. When It came more disappointment the hot sour soup was bland not as good as last time. And the fried rice no flavor, again bland. read more

I went for a girls night at 530 PM on a Thursday. Plenty of places to park in the back of the restaurant and no problem getting in without a reservation. Food: 3/5. I haven't been to P.F. Chang's in about 10 years, and in my experience the food has changed dramatically. Previously P.F. Chang's felt more like fine dinning, this seemed more like Chinese takeout on nice plates with a high price tag. The lettuce wraps were 4/5. They tasted amazing but were not hot. I also got the firecracker shrimp with brown rice. The shrimp was 5/5 for flavor, but the brown rice tasted undercooked and very dry like it had been sitting out. Overall good presentation was not impressive. The margarita was flavorful without being too sugary. Service: 3/5. I'm not sure if the waitress just didn't want to interrupt us from talking, but she barely checked in on us and took over 20 minutes to take our food order after our entire party showed up. Ambiance: 4/5. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating. They sat most people in the booths along the windows. Overall the acoustics were good and we could hear each other talking. Overall the quality of food seems to have gone down from what P.F. Chang's uses to be years ago. This seemed like an overpriced Chinese takeout experience in a more elevated space. read more

"Will you be done by 5:15[pm]?" The chosen greeting, or rather question we were asked by the hostess. What a welcome! For reference, we walked in around 4:25pm. We ordered an appetizer and an entree to share. They came at the exact same time, which was very odd. The entree sizes have changed, but the prices have not. The only P.F. Chang's in MN is located 30 minutes away from us and was not worth the drive. The presentation of the food was far superior than the actual taste of the food. The two things worth getting again are the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Pork Egg Rolls. The Crispy Green Beans were fried in one large clump of tempura batter which made sharing the beans hard. It would have been nice if they took the time to ensure the green beans weren't clumped together and fried individually. The Crispy Honey Chicken tastes more like a lemon chicken as it had way too much citrus in the sauce. The Great Wall of Chocolate Cake was yummy but just a generic chocolate cake at the end of the day. We were a party of 7 and they seated us at a table for 8, so we have plenty of room which was helpful for all our dishes. We had dinner reservations at 5:30pm on a Saturday night and the by 6pm the place was packed! Our waitress was sweet, but her visits to our table were few and far between. The service was great - they entertain my kiddos. Food - hmm. I am not sure if they are the best Americanized Chinese food. I think small Chinese restaurant does a better job. Food the overall salty. We ordered teriyaki chicken and lo Mien for the kids. They forgot to bring rice for the chicken dish and we had to ask for. We ordered their Taiwanese popcorn chicken - that was good. Thick batter and wish its lighter. We ordered mapo tofu and the pepper steak. The sauce are thick and salty. Rice rice has a upcharge of close to $5. It was not flavorful. I ordered my appetizer and my food same time since it took so long my appetizer came out 20 minutes later and then my food almost 20 minutes after that I got a dirty set of silverware I watched multiple people walk in and be seated after sitting and waiting. Had a 7 pm reservation. We were sat at 7:30. Last two times we have been here, once 45 minutes late and one almost 90 minutes late. The management appears to know nothing about how to take reservations. Once seated, we ordered quickly. The chicken wraps took 30 minutes to come out and had all of 5 extremely small pieces of lettuce. The amount of chicken was also tiny. Then the entrees arrived after 30 more minutes. So we've been here almost 90 minutes and when the entrees arrived, the noodles in the pad Thai weren't even cooked. Barely bendable. The Mongolian beef was good. We used to come here twice a month. Now it's 1-2 times a year. And every time lately has been bad so I think we finally learned our lesson and will not return. read more

Celebrated a family birthday here a couple of weeks ago. Reservations were made, and I was the first to arrive. The staff were informed we were celebrating a birthday, and they brought out a fancy food placemat and gold chopstick. Wasn't much, but the thought/effort just elevated our visit. Mel ordered her favorite: fire braised short ribs. I tried one. Very flavorful, soft, melt in your mouth beef. She went back last weekend and found that the meal had been discontinued. She was so sad but happy that she was able to enjoy it for her birthday. I didn't know what to order, so I ordered all my usual favorites from a Asian/Chinese restaurant. Honey chicken, fried rice, and pork Lo Mein. And I was right... yummy yummy yummy. It was a lot of food so I had lunch for work for a couple of days. And it was still delicious 2 days later! We were surprised with a birthday dessert to share. Banana spring roll with coconut ice cream. I don't remember if they told us it was coconut. PF Chang's had noticeably gone downhill. We arrived about 7pm and were quoted a 30-45 minute wait. We ended into being seated after 8. Several other patrons were visibly upset at the wait times. They were screaming guests names when their reservation was up but there was no need as they had a text system in place. The only bright spot was our server who was amazing. The orange chicken was disgusting and 3 massive clumps of breaded chicken. The Mongolian beef was amazing. Ventured here for a friends night... these friends aren't as adventurous as my foodie friends, so we tend to do more chain restaurants. It's been forever since I've been to a PF Chang's! We were excited for the lettuce wraps. Our server had a large group, but he was good. It was somewhat busy prior to 7pm on a Tuesday night and after that, it died out a bunch. We were surprised with all the other restaurants packed in, why wasn't this one? My memory of the chicken lettuce wraps was divine in my head. I recall them bringing them out and mixing the house sauce in front of you. I miss that. They didn't this time and the flavor of the sauce seemed watered down. We shared some calamari and that was also meh. The prices for the entrees were spendy! I can see why it wasn't that busy due to price vs quality/ flavor. On a positive note, I had a tasty cocktail "Down the Rabbit Hole". It was a nice balance of honey/citrus and bourbon. I would come just for the drinks! For $15 though and it said you get an interactive experience. This was a QR code with a rabbit. It was creative, but didn't work as well as it should. Overall, this won't be my first place to recommend others in Maple Grove. Sorry! But go for a drink! Sadly they couldn't make an espresso martini for my friend, but otherwise tasty drinks! read more

I got the green bean appetizer and the beef with broccoli, as they were both recommended by online sites. The portion sizes were a bit on the small size and the they were a bit bland. Given how much more expensive their food is to a chinese fast food alternative restaurant, I thought this would be much better than them but it was only a little bit better. My husband and I had dinner at PF Chang's tonight and ordered the Salt and Pepper Prawns in spicy chili sauce and the Chang's Chicken, which is described as spicy, both dishes we had enjoyed before. We were quite disappointed to find that what was being offered as the Salt and Pepper Prawns was just prawns deep fried with a batter coating. There was no trace of the savory salt and pepper preparation nor was there any trace of the chili sauce. Very bland and tasteless. The Chang's chicken was devoid of sauce as well. It looked like just chicken deep fried with a batter coating. Again very bland. The names of both dishes were the same as always, but the characteristic preparation and flavor of both was non-existent. We are thoroughly disappointed with PF Chang. Service was fine. Food is never consistent. Firecracker shrimp was horrible. No pan fried crisp on shrimp and the sauce was non-existent and when i asked for more was runny, sweet and bland, no spice whatsoever. Fried green beans were tasteless and when sauce ran out we were brought a completely differnt mustard tasting sauce. 1 out of 3 times it is a good experience. Gosh, I used to just love P.F. Chang's. Recently visited at lunch and while it wasn't bad, it just was ok. First, the seating. I get you only have a couple servers at lunch time, but we were all crammed into one side of the booths in the restaurant, no spacing out whatsoever. Second, the menu and food have really changed. My favorite thing always used to be Philip's Better Lemon Chicken, now nowhere to be found on the menu. That's ok, I do like other dishes, but that was just oh so good. The spring rolls are also now chopped up, making the filling all fall out. I also got the lunch sweet amd sour chicken and it was a bit mushy. Just not as good as I remember. My friend and I went to PF Changs for dinner. We got lettuce wraps (okay), spare ribs (good) Honey chicken (amazing!) and sesame chicken (very good!). We also got dessert of apple turnovers with coconut ice cream (meh). I would definitely get the Honey chicken again. Everything else was good to okay, but not OMG, this is amazing! What happened??? I am not one to write a bad review but something has happened to PF Changs. We have been going to the Maple Grove location for years with some years ordering at least monthly. It's been at least a year since we ordered food but decided to give it a try again after a long hiatus. We ordered a couple of chicken entry's and the peppered steak with fried rice. The chicken and sauce were slimy and mushy with the steak tasting the same. The fried rice looked half fried and half white with really no vegetables or egg. They charged $4.50 for this small portion of half attempted fried rice. The food tasted awful. Nothing like what it use to taste like. It use to be somewhat crisp with a nice sauce. Did they change their ingredients? What the heck happened? So sorry to see this as I really loved their food. read more

We were there on a Friday evening 6:45 reservations. Restaurant was busy but not full (empty tables visible). Server took drink order and appetizer order. All good. Later came back and took rest of order. We ordered Hot & Sour soup for the table. And we ordered entrees, one member in party ordered Lettuce Wraps (which is on appetizer menu). The lettuce wraps were brought out and nothing else. The woman who ordered them had eaten all of her dinner before they brought the rest of our meals. The tried to bring us an additional entree we hadn't ordered. About 5 minutes after entrees were served, they brought out the soup. Menus are QR code or onetime use paper menus. But later they came and collected the paper copies we had because they needed them for another group that was coming in. Huh? One entree was Buddha's Feast, a vegetarian option with tofu. The meal had a scant amount of tofu, and very large pieces of Broccoli. When we got the bill, the extra entree was on there. Server had dropped of bill and left saying I could pay by scanning QR code. So I had to track server down to get this removed from the bill. And there was nasty looking crumbs/crud in the Crack the the table wings. read more

Just an observation and a suggestion, If you would like to retain new customers, especially ones that just moved into the area, acknowledge them when they are sitting at the bar. Just moved with my company to the area, never been to P.F. Changs, so I thought I would go for lunch, by myself. I was greeted by two very friendly ladies and I asked if I could sit at the bar, they said no problem. When I sat down there were 3 people at the bar and 2 at a high top. The bartender seemed very busy making drinks and helping other customers, TOTALLY acknowledge that he is in a mode. If you see someone at your bar that is just sitting there make an effort to acknowledge them and say I will be right with you. That goes a long way. I was in the service industry for about 7 years, so I totally understand being in a groove, but I also made sure I was checking my surroundings. First impressions are true. After waiting for about 10 minutes and not being acknowledged I left. Upon leaving the nice ladies in the front siad "leaving so early?" I said " The bartender seems really busy" Usually someone would say something other then " Well, have a good day" I would expect "maybe he did not see you, could I get a drink order from you ?" or " Come and sit at the bar and I will let him know you are here for lunch"?
