We enjoyed another wonderful takeout from our own small town Oak Harbor Chinese restaurant. I'm posting a current copy of their menu to share. No place in this area prepares shrimp with lobster sauce like they do. Hubs at his usual order of pork chow mein. Both meals come with fried rice. We ordered a quart of wonton soup. Their eggrolls are always fried beautifully and our crisp and not overdone. Tried an order of fried dumplings, prep was on point with that as well. They always give very nice portions, plenty to share or like me enjoy the leftovers the next day. They are cash only, I don't mind saving those card fees. There's a credit union ATM in the grocery store and a bank across the street. You can always go buy a few things and get cash back that way too. Tips: Sadly, since Covid, they went to takeout only, like most Chinese places in the area. You can catch an amazing Portage river sunset while enjoying your meal. We have a new beautiful river view city park with picnic tables. It's behind the Friendship gas station (seriously) not even a half block away heading west on Water St./163, on the river. There are steps going down to the river seating, as well as a place street level to sit. Typically there's plenty of parking right next to the upper level, in the gas station lot. I believe the company that owns the gas station donated the property to the community to enjoy and park there on the end. Our town officials did a great job on utilizing that property and making it something we can all share. There is a place to tie up canoes and kayaks as well.

Don't expect the world's best anything - you are picking up freshly-cooked food defensively - anything you get here will be better than the gas station taquitos or the Arby's roast beef sandwich binge you will regret in 30 minutes. But to be clear, it's not going to be particularly great. Something about the time of day that I pass by through this area gets me so excited to toss in a pickup order just to see what I get. The Singapore-style Mei Fun is reliable. Get it plain without the Singapore curry spice if you're more suspicious. lol. Anything like String Beans with Garlic, or Beef with Broccoli, is going to be perfectly acceptable for a road warrior like you. The location, consistency, and ease of triangulation with regards to ordering over the phone (or having your shotgun passenger order) about 10 minutes before you reach this Hwy exit merits a solid 4-star review. The food is 3-star ish, but the mere existence of this place warrants a bonus "Oasis" star.

The portion size/price ratio is phenomenal! I paid less than $15 for all food shown. The orange chicken/friend rice combo was very underwhelming. Fried rice is bland and the only this making it "fried rice" is soy sauce and very very very minimal egg... no other additives. Orange chicken is super soft and has tons of sauce but unfortunately it does not taste like orange chicken. I cannot explain what it tastes like but it is not bad. The grab Rangoons are very delicious! Loaded with cream cheese, crab, and chives. They are quite large. Overall this was a pretty good experience and I would order here again.

It was so good that I'm currently writing a review about it in February! Some of the best egg rolls I've ever had. We had enough leftover to spread across multiple meals. Great find in Fremont, Ohio! My daughter and her family…read morerecently moved to a nearby town and we have been having fun trying area restaurants to find new favorite places for options. Chinese food has eluded us - until Sunday. I had driven by Saturday night and noticed the parking lot and drive-thru were packed; always a good sign. We decided to try it for lunch on Sunday a few hours before a soccer game and we were thrilled from start to finish. Our party was two adults and two children so we ordered two entrees and an appetizer since the dinners include a cup of soup and an egg roll there was more than enough food for all of us. Appetizer 1: shrimp toast (pictured) - the elusive delight I have not been able to find in ANY Chinese restaurant in NW Ohio, ever. Light, crisp, hint of shrimp flavor and the kids loved them too. $2. Appetizer 2: (included with dinner) egg roll. Perfectly stuffed and fried; crisp but not oily at all and even the 4-yr old who has aversion to cabbage enjoyed the perfectly cooked filling and ate every bit of his half egg roll. Appetizer 3: (also included with dinner) soup. We had 2 appetizers so we chose won ton for the 8-yr old (declared it the best soup she has ever had) and egg drop for the 4-yr old (ate every drop, including drinking from the cup when it was all gone) Seriously - the above would make a great light meal. But the entrees - oh ... the meal continued this great trend. Dinner 1: Sweet and sour chicken. The dinners come with fried rice as default, which delighted the 4-yr old who was sharing this entree with his 8-yr old sister. It comes with vegetables, which seem to all be fresh vegetables, which was really delicious. (Even the water chestnuts seemed to be fresh vs coming out of a can) We did skip the tomatoes, though - the sauce is light and was really tasty. The chicken is white meat, hand-cut and lightly breaded with panko and perfectly fried. I will admit I helped them finish this entree. Dinner 2: Garlic shrimp / spicy - we asked for white rice. This was really good and the spice was very subtle. The sauce was on the thick side (lots of cornstarch, I'd guess) but very tasty and easy enough to avoid to make it a lighter meal. I enjoyed it with some steamed white rice (and stolen chicken from the other entree) and my daughter skipped the rice and had half a dinner roll instead. The menu is quite extensive and we grabbed a carry-out menu for next time if dining "in" is not going to fit into our schedule. There are several token "American" items on the menu - including french fries, grilled cheese, burgers, chicken tenders and the only odd thing I noted was every meal was served with a very large wheat yeast dinner roll. It was really good so I'm not complaining - it was just very unexpected and a little quirky; which I really like. The service was excellent. Our waitress was wonderfully attentive and the food was delivered very quickly and she was a delight, despite the very busy restaurant. The food was superior and a great value. Our total check was just under $26. Similar meals are typically over $40 for the 4 of us - so this was a wonderful surprise. Parking is available; but somewhat limited - if the lot is full park closeby even if you are in a hurry. There is plenty of seating inside and service is excellent. I may have already mentioned that ... While we were waiting to pay the check, the cashier was also handling the carry-out / drive-thru business but handled both queues with ease and efficiency. We will be back - either inside or pickup for sure. Soon. Four thumbs up!

The food was the worst Chinese food we have EVER eaten. Hands down. 4 of us got takeout from there,…read moreand 4 of us agreed it was terrible. The fried rice was super dry, and bland. General Tso's chicken was like slime. The texture was so unappealing, neither my son, or I could finish it. My wife said the beef & broccoli was so chewy, she couldn't eat it. My other son said they mixed the sweet & sour sauce over the chicken, instead of it being separate, and the chicken was soggy, and tough. It was hands down the worst food we've had in a long time. We'll never eat their again, I know that. There are cheaper Chinese restaurants in this town, with WAY better food. Even the Chinese buffet here is better. It was astounding to me just how bad this place was.
