General Tao's chicken(spicy) a 3 since it's more dough than meat, beef fried rice a 3, Mongolian Beef(generous portions), a 5, chicken broccoli, a 4.5, and fried chicken wings, a 3. Fried pork dumplings, a 3.5 because some are more dough than meat but flavor is good. We sat down and ate there eventhough all of the guests ordered takeout. The restaurant is spacious but it's just a place to eat at. Nothing fancy. Pretty much help yourself. The food was hot and fresh which we were impressed with. We enjoyed the meal. It turned out great since we had to get to the outdoor concert that was about to begin. We were glad the food came out quickly and we ate it in no time.

No place in this area prepares shrimp with lobster sauce like they do. Hubs at his usual order of pork chow mein. Both meals come with fried rice. We ordered a quart of wonton soup. Their eggrolls are always fried beautifully and our crisp and not overdone. Tried an order of fried dumplings, prep was on point with that as well. They always give very nice portions, plenty to share or like me enjoy the leftovers the next day. They are cash only, I don't mind saving those card fees. There's a credit union ATM in the grocery store and a bank across the street. You can always go buy a few things and get cash back that way too. Tips: Sadly, since Covid, they went to takeout only, like most Chinese places in the area. You can catch an amazing Portage river sunset while enjoying your meal. We have a new beautiful river view city park with picnic tables. It's behind the Friendship gas station (seriously) not even a half block away heading west on Water St./163, on the river. There are steps going down to the river seating, as well as a place street level to sit. Typically there's plenty of parking right next to the upper level, in the gas station lot. I believe the company that owns the gas station donated the property to the community to enjoy and park there on the end. Our town officials did a great job on utilizing that property and making it something we can all share. There is a place to tie up canoes and kayaks as well.

My stop at this Panda Express, a chain restaurant I don't really frequent anymore, was one of those poor choices. I was shocked to see that they were out of almost everything despite it only being 6pm. I am usually game to compromise but I had to wait a few minutes to cook anything I was interested in. So after paying first, I got my box of veggies, teriyaki chicken, and honey chicken in a to-go container. The staff member was apologetic and stuffed my bag with lots of sauces so that was nice. Sadly, the veggies were slimy and the teriyaki chicken was weirdly dry? The portions were skimpy too. I did really like my honey chicken. I just wish there was more of it. Also, I don't know if prices are like this at non-turnpike locations, but charging $14 for a plate of two meats and a side is egregious. Ah well. That's the life of someone who had slim choices during dinner time.
