Omg this place is absolute trash. I usually don't give one star reviews but yey.. I was In the mood for some Chinese and I just moved to the area . I was driving by and said to myself let me give this place a try. I ordered the triple delight it's supposed to have chicken shrimp beef. I felt like I was eating a frozen entree from the grocery store to be honest . First off my food was ready in less than five minutes. How can you cook shrimp chicken and beef in less than five minutes then the veggies um pretty sure there was something in there that I couldn't identify . Also they didn't ask me did I want any kind of sauce they just handed me a bag sealed and yelled my order number out and I figure it's pretty standard to get soy sauce and utensils atleast well not here buddy. I don't know but I just feel cheated and also I have had really bad gas since eating here like literally just laying In bed farting. So no I will never eat here again . I'm pretty sure Hong Kong has no affiliation with this carry out because it's terrible. I wouldn't order from here again with so many other carry out options . Plus it was almost 16 dollars and I get it I ordered a triple delight but bruh my meal was a triple fright -gas -no sauce-utensils-napkins -barely any meat but hey you live and you learn smh read more

Pretty standard Chinese takeout place. Very prompt and attentive service. I always order soup and that day it was really good with the crispy noodles, and they were fresh and good. The wings were cooked well too. And this is the closest I've had to mumbo from back in the day. Dark bbq color and good seasoning. This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area years ago but now I only Go for two dishes. Hands down they have the best Fried Wontons in the area. Fried wontons and House special Pancit Noodles are my only two dishes I get from here. As far as the other dishes the sauces taste premade to me like it was out of a packet. I never had a problem with their service before. It's just that the quality of the food has changed over the years. read more

DISSAPOINTING Dish On April 1, 2025 i had a craving for a usually delicious Meal, SINGAPORE RICE NOODLES. I have Ordered this Dish before at Hong Kong Express and the last time I had it, it was delicious. Although this Dish is listed on their Menu as Spicy Noodles with CHICKEN, PORK and SHRIMP, I always state I only want Pork and Shrimp and make it very Spicy. Well when I Ordered this Dish today and started to put the Meal on my Plate, much to my dismay, I noticed there was only "2" SMALL Shrimp and bits and pieces of Pork. Also, the Dish didn't taste Spicy at all. For $11.75, i expected more SHRIMP in this Dish. Needles to say, i wont be going to HONG KONG EXPRESS in Fort Washington anymore. I ordered food here from DoorDash and it's your typical local Chinese takeout. However, I am surprised on how many items are available compared to others. They even have full duck! Prices are average for this industry. Food overall: It's good, not dry, totally recommended. Coconut shrimp: My preference is saucy and they delivered! I didn't have high expectations for this food because it's take out and it's either a hit or miss with specialty items. However, I wouldn't mind it being less saucy. Not recommended for people who can't take saucy food since it's not healthy. I'm glad this came with rice too. Orange chicken: I'm not sure if the official menu says it's spicy but this one did. I appreciate it because that's how orange chicken should be. It's nothing crazy like other people might find it not spicy at all. However I wish it had more sauce for my rice. Fortune cookies: One of them didn't have a fortune and both were made pretty open (not the plastic package). However, it's free so you can't really complain. I was hesitant to order from here based on the reviews but i was pleasantly surprised at the depth of the menu and good tasting dishes. The menu is rather extensive, comprised of a wide range of different Asian dishes. It's easy to get lost when you're trying to order online. The Yelp app and their own online ordering system lacks any search capabilities. I found it more useful to call and phone in my order. As with most Asian take out restaurants, I was told 10 minutes and when I arrived my order was ready. I had friends over whom wanted Chinese so we ordered a number of dishes: orange chicken, chicken lo mein, and Mongolian beef. In addition we also got wonton soup, egg drop number and a number of egg rolls. Orange chicken tasted rich in flavor with a strong hint of orange. While it was overpowering for myself, others thought differently. The Mongolian beef sauce tasted great. The beef and assortment of onions did not. For whatever reason this restaurant makes this dish with red onions. While I've had this dish with white onions, and green onions. I've never had it with red onions. This threw me off due to the taste of the red onions IMO was overbearing. Lastly, there were a lot of onions served in this dish and very little meat. Chicken Lo Mein, by far the best dish of the night, rich in flavor and done differently than I had it before but IMO done better. I can't pinpoint the exact reason for the taste, maybe they used more soy sauce but it didn't taste as plain as it normally does. Nonetheless, it was my favorite dish out of these three. Soups and egg rolls were consistent with takeout standards. Overall the food was good and I'd order again. I'll update any additional dishes I try. read more

We were passing by the area and saw this restaurant. It's more of a to go place but they do have places to eat. The menu is extensive and they have great lunch specials which we ordered. You place your order at the window and they call you when it is ready. It comes as if you are taking it out. Great if you have leftovers. I ordered shrimp with broccoli. It comes with fried rice, choice of soup, fried wontons wrappers for it and the ever desired fortune cookie. It was very delicious. Also ordered the beef with broccoli. Beef was tender and tasty. This place is terrible. I ordered online and asked for no shrimp in House Special Pancit, I am allergic to shrimp. I drove 25 minutes to pickup and then back home of course there was shrimp in my Pancit. I called Hong Kong and told them the issue. They said bring it back, I said I didn't want drive another hour to return the item, just refund the dish since I can't eat it. They said it was my fault because the kitchen can't see when you add requests to the online order. I asked how would I know that? They said just bring the food back whenever I order again. I said I don't eat chinese every day it may be awhile. The manager said if you dont bring the food back there wasn't anything he could do. So I paid $10 for something I can't eat and if I don't bring back a weeks old dish with me I'm basically out the money. I'll never eat there again. At first I was a bit sceptical because it's hard to find a good Chinese restaurant in the southern Maryland area but the first time I ordered here, I was not disappointed. Now this is my number one go to spot. My favorite items: Chicken fried rice Szechuan Chicken Chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce (not on the menu) Egg roll Shrimp in lobster sauce Not only are they super fast but the flavors and portions are all there. I'm giving them 4 out of 5 stars for two reasons. Once we had gotten the chicken wings and both myself and fiance didn't feel very good afterwards, maybe old oil was used or just a coincidence? Not sure but never ordered the chicken wings again and have been fine since. Second reason is because depending on what you order, you may get way more veggies that you bargained for. We opted to switch from the chicken in garlic sauce to the szechuan chicken and it wasn't any different in the sense that there was a TON of shredded carrots that you had to practically fish for the chicken. Having had surgery, my friends treated me to several meals. Combination Egg Foo Yung, salt and pepper shrimp, and pork with garlic sauce. Egg Foo yung is tasteless, dry, no gravy at all, not even on the side. Salt and Pepper shrimp, shrimp dry, over cooked, couldn't eat shell or remove it Pork with garlic sauce, I haven't tried it. Haven't opened it. I don't want another disappointment. You must use Door Dash or Grub Hub for delivery. Order was place around 11:45. I was expecting DD around 12:30. At 1: 00, I was going to call then restaurant only to have a friend visit and bring the food in that has been left on the step. And now cold. But after awhile I noticed their chicken didn't look the same, it tasted different and it even had a egg reeking smell. I've never known Chicken to smell like eggs/fart. I'm not really big on eating Chinese carry out food, but Hong Kong Express is the exception. I actually have the phone number on speed dial. They're great when I get off work late and have that long drive home down rte 210. I hit the speed dial and "Hong Kong may I hep you?" (and no, I didn't miss-spell help, that's how she says it) By the time I get there, my food is beautifully packaged and ready to go. What I usually order: Peking duck. Not a lot of places offer this, let alone for take out. Marinated and roasted and comes with hoisin sauce, slivered green onions, and Chinese style "tortilla" wraps. The skin is the best part. Nom nom nom! Flied Chicken wings with mumbo sauce and flied lice. (I didn't miss-spell that either) Mongolian beef. It's always so tender and perfectly cooked here. Moo shoo pork. Tender pork and cabbage in moo shoo sauce with wraps. You make little burritos and nom nom nom! Shrimp stir fry. You have to tell them "shrimp with vegetables" or you'll end up with deep fried shrimps. Another plus is that they're open late. I'm never disappointed here. read more

Great fast food chinese food. My favorite thing to get here is the 5-piece fried chicken wings combo with fried rice and "mumbo" sauce. These aren't tiny wings either, these are steriod injected, HGH enhanced Barry Bonds wings. Not sure what the hell mumbo sauce is, but it tastes damn good on wings, french fries, fried rice, etc. In fact, I've found that pretty much anything it happens to drip on becomes edible so word to the wise, keep the pets and small children away while you gorge on this fried yumminess. Not much seating at this place, I'm assuming most of their business is "to go." This is one of the few chinese food take-out places in PG County that does not have a bullet-proof window separating you from the cashier. Maybe the pictures of home town hero Riddick Bowe hanging on the walls deters crime. Since this place was sold the quality of the food has drastically gone down hill. The food I got the last time was still full of frozen water. I've given them multiple tries to see if they can figure it out but it's now a hard pass. They obviously know they are losing money since they are trying to sell seafood boils now. Food is good service is quick. It's a Chinese place and for the price it's just fine. The service isn't super friendly because that's not their focus here. If you eat in it's because you're in a rush for a lunch and need to eat in. Not really the dine in kind of place. Called in for a pick up order. The guy on the phone was not so nice. I wasn't expecting to have a full on conversation, debating the meaning of life or anything, but I was expecting dude to be pleasant... which he was not. That kinda put me off, but whatever, on to the food: 1) General Tso Chicken: super dry and hard. It seemed that there was not much chicken and too much breading and frying going on. 2) Chicken Wings and Mumbo Sauce: How could you ever go wrong with that?
