I think these are the same ladies that used to be at Pico Rivera indoor Swap meet. I've drive here every time we need an alteration. Usually men suit pants, and little kid jeans. The last I brought in was a jersey that was too long. As always they did a fantastic job. Most jobs will be ready the same day. Since I don't live in the area I usually just drop off and ask someone to pick up for me. I think are reasonably priced. I've never felt their work wasn't worth the charge. read more

Fast turnaround time and quality hem work! Reasonably priced too! Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Eeeeeeee nombre, qué gran chambonada me hicieron.

Amazing little alternations place. They're so nice and offer quick turn around service. They have a couple fitting rooms to try on your items so they can pin them to alter. I took a pair of pants to be hemmed and they offered to have them ready the same day. I picked them up the next day and it cost me $7. I will definitely be going back there! Oh, it's cash only. read more

I needed to fix the hem on 3 pants. They got the job done in one day. Picked them up as promised and good price

I use Hong's very frequent for alterations, usually it's to hem pants. They're super friendly, can usually do same day, and very affordable. They always do a great job and have referred them to family and friends. read more

I paid $55 for a bridesmaid dress to be fixed up a little bit. Half an inch in on the shoulders and maybe 2 inches off the bottom cause the dress was long I could step on it when I walked. Once here I tried the dress on with heels. The lady put on 1 pin to measure and had me take off the dress. When I came back 3 days later the dress was barely short enough for me to not step on it. If I leaned down or even look down I would step on the dress. I voiced being unsatisfied with the length and she said it wouldn't be done in time, if they hemmed it again, fair enough. But Still decided to charge me the full $55. The hem itself was hood looked clean and no loose threads. read more

Amazing service & accurate quote. They were very friendly and were able to complete my alteration promptly and well done.

It's Midday Sunday and my son decides to tell me that he needs to have his Basketball jersey altered by Monday (the next day)! My to go person is closed Sundays, so after doing research, I came across this place! I was a bit skeptical BUT decided to give it a chance, I mean, it's just a HS basket ball jersey right? Lol. Got there, was assisted right away, charged me TEN DOLLARS, and it was going to be ready in 2 hrs! I couldn't be happier! The fact that they provided same day service, their final work was great, and only charged me ten bucks was a win! read more

These ladies get the job done. Quick and easy pant alterations. I've always been able to drop off and pick up by end of day.

Fast service. Good prices. Obviously years of experience. They get straight to the points. Service was great.

Absolutely love coming to this spot for quick and simple alterations. It's a bit of a drive for me from OC but it's definitely worth it whenever I have a pile of items. I usually bring my jeans/slacks to shorten and taper. They also do a decent job helping me better fit my dress shirts as I'm pretty small and most men's clothing runs big on me. The ladies here can sometimes come off as rude but I do understand that there's a language barrier so be patient cus I know they really do try their best! If you're looking for more complex altercations to your clothing and are more picky then I don't recommend coming here as they're more on the simple side. Regardless, nothing beats their quick service and affordable prices. I will always recommend them to my friends and I'm glad this establishment survived the pandemic :) read more

I am so glad to finally have found a great alterations place and they are too inexpensive! I usually pay them more. I have had pants and dresses altered. The ladies that work here are pros! They are Asian and some don't really speak English much, so I think this is the reason why some people think they come off as rude. And because they are pros, they know when to say "no" to an alteration because they know the alteration will compromise the garment. read more

2 cutie ladies that can custom ur fit like there's no tmrw. Same day service. Two fitting rooms. Bring in your wildest alteration requests. They can make it happen. They be so good at repairing clothes I'm pretty sure they can repair you life as well. But cash only so come stacked read more

Hong Alterations - Da bomb digs - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Pico Rivera, California

Rude rude rude! I came to see about getting my daughter's dress altered for a wedding. I walked inside. There were two ladies working. They didn't even acknowledge. I walked inside. I had to go in practically all the way to her face and say hi. Can I get some help? She stares at me and then says something in her native language to the other worker. She puts her head down and continues working. I say I'm sorry, I don't understand that. Will you be able to help me? She says something again to the lady. The other lady turns around and asks if that's the dress I need fixed. I replied yes she asked me to put it on my daughter. I slip it on real quick and I'm there again being ignored. The first lady looks at me. Says something again to the lady and the other lady that is working says wait and continues. Sewing whatever she's sewing. I waited not long because by then I'm frustrated. Then I say you know what you guys are rude. I don't need your business and I walked out. The second lady came outside and tried to ask if I needed any alterations and by that time I said you know what. I don't need your business and you don't need mine. The whole interaction was just so rude by them. The other reviews on here are the same exact ones. I rather pay more for my dress than to deal with their attitude. Cheap prices equal cheap attitudes read more

Went in at noon on a Thursday to drop off four pairs of pants to have the legs shortened a bit, was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Returned at 5:30 to pick them up and was in and out in less than 3 minutes. $24 for the set - $6 a pair. They look great, just what I wanted. No complaints - I will definitely be back! They are open till 7pm I am usually in and out in a few minutes. I usually pick up sewn pants either later in day, next day or later in week. I bring jeans or slacks to get hemmed up for $5 each. Parking is usually good, some evenings it can get crowded due to club/restaurant next door. read more

They are so incredibly rude! Almost as if they don't want you talking to them. I asked how much it was to replace a zipper. The woman said $15. She said she could give me a white zipper on a peach dress. Another lady chimed in and said , "No $20!!! and you buy zipper!" I said why are you so mean and rude and they all started laughing, lol. Great customer service! Amazing quality work on my dresses, reasonable prices. I am a happy customer and will return. I actually went in Hong Alterations to get my dresses fixed after a dry cleaner messed them up and made them uneven. Those ladies have a good sense of humor, one Asian lady said where did you take it "aye, aye, aye." I was greeted when I arrived. One lady speaks English. All of them were kind to me. My dresses look perfect, just what I asked for. They measured with a ruler all the way around, put safety pins, everything was even and I left feeling so happy! I tried on the dresses before I left, after they were done. Cash only. They looked fantastic! I was thrilled! Thank you for 5 star service. I will definitely be referring family and friends. read more

The ladies here are so rude! I walked in to let them know what I needed help with and they didn't even look at me while I was talking to them and all they said was "go try it on." So I went to the changing room to put on the item that needed alterations and when I came back out, they looked at me and just laughed. They started speaking in their language and then said they can't help me. Please go somewhere else for alterations. read more

Only $7 for hemming Jean pants and ready in two hours. They did a good job. Cash only, not a problem though.

Customer service is NOT their strong point. You probably won't be greeted at the door. They won't smile when you walk in. Prices are sometimes inconsistent but I think they're beyond reasonable. So, if that bothers you, this isn't the place for you. It's cash only. You can pay when you drop off or at pick up. There's a 7-Eleven next-door with an ATM if you forget your cash. I've taken a few formal dresses in to be altered. First dress was 2 layers and needed to be hemmed & the mesh beaded straps needed to be adjusted. I was only charged $23. It was done the next day. Second dress was a single layer but much more material. I also had my daughter Sherpa sweater shortened because it was too long and total for both garments was $35. I think prices are more than fair. They do quality work. I don't care if they seem a little grumpy. I get stressed just trying to thread my sewing machine so I get it. read more

I've been here many times, my lAst visit they refused to shorten the sleeves es on my jacket. The jacket has cuffs and a placket on the sleeves. They simply wanted to cut and hem the sleeves because doing it as it was made was too much work. I was willing to pay the proper compensation because I knew what was involved. How lazy can you get. I will never refer them or give my business again. read more

Wonderful. Great prices, quick turnaround. I've gotten same day alterations. Cash only!

They're the best. I won't go anywhere else. They're quick and reliable. The prices are good too!

They just opened their doors yesterday at this new location. Previously they were located inside the pico rivera indoor swapmeet but unfortunately it recently closed down. My wife and I have been going to them for our alterations needs for years and they never let us down. Great prices, good work, pleasant and fast service, you can't beat this place. Today we took in 2 pairs of pants to get hemmed and another to get a hole patched up. Total came out to 10 dollars and since it wasn't too busy it only took 30 minutes. read more

The best the best the best. The Muhammad Ali of Alterations!!! Love these ppl for what they do and their fair prices read more

They do have a fast turnaround time, most of the times. But my bad review is mostly because they're price isn't balance all across their different type of service. Most of the time they charge $5 to hem a jean which is reasonable. My husband has come here quite a few times. $5 per jeans. I took in 5 different jeans which was $25 and I was okay with that. However, I had 2 pants that needed sewing. I'm bad at sewing so I thought it was easier to have someone do it. 1 leg, maybe 4 inches to hem = $6. 1 leg for $6?!?! I had shorts that didn't need hem, a simple sewing so the crease didn't mess up after washing and drying = $5! I also had 2 blazers that needed sewing as the thread had come off after a few washes... $6 each! The jeans take more to cut and sew yet the simple ones were more expensive. I was going to come out paying more than $50 for a few clothing items. PLUS, they're service is so bad. All ladies are always mad. Always! They always give attitude and killer eyes. I'll take my business somewhere else. read more

This place is whack. Apparently a 2 inch seam hem on a pair of flare jeans will not "look nice". Even is that is the original style of jeans. Lol!! They only have one color thread can't color match and changed price from what was quoted. Byeeee. read more
