My daughter and I went to Lincoln Fine Tailoring and was immediately greeted by Abraham. I was impressed with how clean his shop was and the turnaround time. The prices were very reasonable and will be coming here for all my tailor and suit needs. read more

Quick turn around time, we picked up our items in less than a week and it was tailored exactly how we wanted. The guy that helped us was also super nice and I think the price was super fair. read more

I've been coming here whenever I need my dresses shortened, and they always do an amazing job! The turnaround time is fast, the quality of the alterations is excellent, and everything fits perfectly. They're also incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I highly recommend them if you're looking for reliable, high-quality tailoring with great customer service! read more

10/10 recommend, the owner is very nice and works fast. If you NEED pants done by next day, this is the spot! Parking lot is a little small, I recommend parking on the street in the neighborhood, but other than that, the tailoring on the pants and dresses are great. read more

I have known Abraham for over 30 years. From the time he was an apprentice at his father shop in Bell Gardens to currently running his own business. I worked in corporate and the right clothing with the right fit makes a lot of difference. Abraham makes that happen. He keeps up with trend and has a fashion sense of what looks good. He will definitely help you to look apart for your next meeting, date or gathering with friends. I will always put my trust in him. read more

Abraham was very friendly and helpful. My son and I had our suits tailored for a reasonable price. Very satisfied with the work.

Yeah, he tailored my suit for my daughters wedding. I didn't like the fact that he said there wasn't enough n material in the sleeves to make them look like when. I bought it, so he had to fold them in and see the buttons on. It's not like he had to shorten them more than a half inch. Anyway, whatever, everything else was fine. read more

Really nice guy , he is fast and do same day jobs and good work, definitely recommend coming here if you'd like reasonable prices and good quality work read more

Great service and good prices... highly recommend A. Lincoln Tailoring best tailor in all of Whittier...

Abraham was very very helpful and made sure to ask me a lot of questions in regards to the fit/style I was looking for my alterations on my suit. He had my suit ready within 3 business days and made sure I tried it on and fully inspected it before paying as to make sure everything I asked for was done. He was spot on with my suit alterations and he is gonna be my go to tailor from now on. Highly recommended read more

This is not the old tailor shop it used to be. There is a new owner, and I took a pair of pants to get altered and he did an amazing job, while I waited. Took 10 minutes and only charged me 10 bucks. You gotta come check it out. New owner names Abraham read more

This place is never open even for the covid hours. John makes you waste your gas and time for a supposedly great service. Don't waste your time coming to this shop his covid hours are 11-5 yet he's closed at 4 even though I called to double check. He's flakey. read more

Never again. Left pants to be taken in on Tuesday for an event on Saturday. John said the pants would be ready at 10:30 on Saturday. We agreed even though the event was that morning and five days seem sufficient time. Show up at 10:30 for an event that actually started at 10 and am told he said 1:00, which NEVER would have been agreed to. My daughter has a lot of clothing that needs altering, but this is obviously not the place to do it. Update, waited 20 minutes for him to put the pants back together that he had removed the waistband seam from at some point but apparently didn't have time to sew. The stitching was obviously hurried and sloppy and done in a blue grey thread right alongside the original white stitching which looks just awful. The pants are brand new, never been worn and there was some kind of a brown stain on the waistband near the stitching. The topper was they didn't appear to be taken in at all snd are still huge on her. He wanted $25 for this monstrosity and then got upset when I chose to put it on my American Express card instead of giving him cash. Just a horrible experience all around. read more

A Lincoln Fine Tailoring - Nice job, lie about the pick up time and use years of experience to decide you shouldn't match thread color to the existing stitching. - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Whittier, California

This place has been sliding downward for a while now. Hours are unpredictable, prices are arbitrary and there's a fairly good chance your alterations won't be ready on the day indicated on the claim ticket. read more

Will definitely come back! I just moved to the area and needed a super fast alteration. Not only did they fix the Seam tear, but they fixed the pockets too!! I dropped it off, had breakfast and it was done when I came back! If I could give 10 stars I totally would!! Will be back!! read more

I brought in two pairs of pants on a Thursday and returned to pick them up the following Tuesday. I stopped by at 11:00 but he still wasn't there. I then came back around 4:00 and he looked shocked to see me. He then had me follow him into the back and he pointed at all the clothes he had hanging up. He then said, "Find your pants." After digging through everyone's clothes for about five minutes, I finally found them and saw nothing had been done. I then said, "You know, I'll just take these somewhere else." He then grabbed the pants from me and said, "No, sir, please. I will do them now." I replied, "I don't want you rushing through them, so I'll just come back around 4:00 tomorrow." I came back the next day and the first pair I tried on was messed up. The outside needed to be brought up because there was a permanent crease from them being sewed sideways and one of the legs was about an inch shorter than the other. When I pointed it out to him, he got upset and said, "It's just the fabric. I can try to make adjustments but I'll have to charge." I shook my head and walked back to try on the second pair. The second one fit perfectly, so I walked back out and said, "These are the same exact pants and these are perfect. I don't think it was the fabric that caused the other pair to be messed up." He then just sat there staring at me and didn't say anything. I then said, "Whatever" and handed him the $40 he had charged to hem both pair. I do not recommend this tailor as he ruined an $80 pair of pants and didn't want to fix his mistake. He also took his time to get to them even though he initially said he could have it done the same day. I was just being nice and said I would give him five days.. Worst experience with a tailor ever. read more

Paid a lot of money to get my suit tailored, had to go 2x, the 2nd time the pants were baggy and long, I had asked for the pants to be TAPPERED!!!! he tapered the quad only, now it looks like I have bell bottoms, and the pants are too short! I'm the best man, and the wedding is tomorrow read more

I went to get some work pant altered on Tuesday September 29, I was suppose to pick them up that Friday October 2, but due to traffic and working late I couldn't go. I figured I could pick them up saterday but the store was closed. Online it said the store closed Sunday's and Monday so I figured that because of Covid they also closed Saturdays. So I waited till Tuesday and when I got to the location it was closed. I have called everyday since then and none has picked up, I went Thursday and it was still closed. I'm not sure what is going on with the location but I do need to get my items back, tailored or not, I just want them back and hope everything's ok with the store too. read more

AMAZING! I take all my Forever 21 button downs, my H&M jeans, and pretty all my clothes here to get them fitted and never have I once had a problem! Very affordable and so kind. I always suggest him to all my friends. Great service, great work! 10/10 read more

Never again. Husband went to get pants hemmed, came back a week later and 2 more times to be told they weren't ready when he promised they would be. I went a month after they were dropped off to pick them up, still weren't done. Owner said his workers don't come to work. He refused to give me the jeans and promised to do them right then and there. I waited for over an hour to have them finished. In the end I told him I didn't want to pay for them and said he wouldn't allow that, only gave me a 10% discount. NOT HAPPY read more

Store says they open at 930. I show up at 915 and wait and wait and wait and wait: John never shows up. I leave and come back the another day. Show up at 915. Wait until 10:10. John does not show up. What is the point of having your hours at 930 if you're never going to be there on time? Just change your hours to 11 John. Lazy old man. read more

While the owner is very welcoming and kind, I will *not* be coming back here. I just picked up a suit jacket that I had brought in to have the sleeves shortened. When I brought it in, it had functional buttons- it should have been shortened at the shoulder end. Instead, without asking, he took the lazy way and shortened it from the wrist end. As a result, I now have a suit jacket with button holes where there are no buttons, and non-functional buttons above that. I'm not very happy about it- any halfway decent tailor should know better. read more

Recommend to anyone who wants quality and courteous service! My daughter was getting married and asked her brother to be apart of the groom's party. My son declined but then at the last minute agreed to participate. Mr. Garcia was so kind to oblige and readied my son's suit. Since it was such late notice, we didn't have a shirt for him. But Mr Garcia had a nice assortment of collared shirts and we were able to dress him sharp! read more

I have taken a number of things to this location and all results were favorable , from pants 2 shirts to denim jackets all the work was done for me to perfection read more

I bought a suit that came with a pair of slacks, unfortunately the slacks were a size big (I'm a 38, pants were 40). The jacket fit well in the should/back region so I just needed the front taken in and have the pants reduced in size and made shorter. I checked all over to find the best tailor in Whittier and found John. I was impressed with the people he has worked for and his history but I could not find any customer reviews...that should have tip me off. I took the suit in Wednesday evening and got it back Friday afternoon, pretty good. The pants fit kind of well and the jacket also. I just needed the pants taken in a bit more, I guess they were okay but I like my pants a little more fitted. I left my suit there with him again on Friday afternoon and said I would return Tuesday (being that Monday was labor day), I believe that was plenty of time however, when I went in Tuesday afternoon to pick up it was not ready. Being that he claims to be very professional this is a letdown. Don't get me wrong, he did a pretty decent job and if you needed same day service he can do it, plus his prices are very reasonable. Just if you need a whole suit alteration I would probably go elsewhere before coming here. I would go to John the Tailor on Colima Road. read more

For any tailoring or repairs, this is your place. I've been coming here for years and I'm pleased with the work every time. I'm always welcomed with open arms and these two are absolute gentlemen. I just picked up two dresses and dropped off two pairs of slacks. read more

I purchased a suit from John's Tailor some years back. This year I took back the suit to have it tailored as I had lost some weight. The suit was still in great shape and after the alteration it was a perfect fit. The quality of merchandise and price at John's Tailor is always fair and comparable to department stores. This week my wife took in five pair of pants to be altered. Our family in Whittier have always used this location for fast and convenient service. Save money by trying John's Tailor and save yourself a trip to a department store. read more
