Illusion Bridal was everything I dreamed about! All of the staff is super friendly and helpful, and all of the gowns are GORGOUS! Robyn helped me find my absolute DREAM dress (that was way under my budget!!) and Jemina helped find my bridesmaid dresses for all of my bridesmaids! 10/10 will forever recommend this amazing boutique! read more

At the beginning of my appointment, I clearly communicated my budget to the saleswoman. She brought out a dress and assured me it was within my price range. I ended up falling in love with it, and just as I was about to say yes to the dress, she suddenly revealed that the actual price was higher than my budget. It was incredibly frustrating and upsetting to be put in that position, especially after getting emotionally attached to a dress I had been explicitly told I could afford. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only pricing discrepancy I experienced. About a month after my appointment, I was looking back through photos and noticed another dress I had really liked. Both my mom and I distinctly remembered the saleswoman quoting us a specific price for that dress during the appointment, and it was within my budget. When I reached back out to confirm the price, however, I was quoted $1,000 MORE than what we had originally been told. Once again, the new price was over my budget -- which had not changed from the initial appointment. After experiencing this twice, I couldn't help but feel that these pricing discrepancies were more than just innocent mistakes. I left with the impression that this boutique uses misleading pricing to get brides emotionally invested in dresses, only to reveal a much higher price once they're ready to commit. I would strongly encourage anyone shopping here to get every price confirmed in writing before trying on or getting attached to a dress. Based on my experience, I simply wouldn't trust the verbal quotes given during an appointment. read more

I REALLY like this place!! Both of my daughters purchased their wedding dresses here. We've been to other places first, but both times ended up with the final dress here. The prices are really good. The inventory is fabulous. The people working here are very good, kind, and patient. They offer free little bottles of water and some candy. Some other places actually offered a bag of snacks which is REALLY nice, but those other places have more expensive wedding dresses. This place gave a small bottle of champagne which was a nice touch. They have a small selection of flower girl dresses which I didn't see the first time I was here. I don't think I saw any bridesmaid's dresses or mother of the bride dresses though which is unfortunate. Clean restroom. Plenty of free street parking. read more

From start to finish, my experience at Illusion Bridal was truly amazing. The staff took the time to really listen to what I wanted and not just the style of dress, but also how I wanted to feel on my wedding day. They pulled options that matched my vision perfectly and were patient, kind, and so encouraging throughout the process. Their selection of dresses is absolutely beautiful. Elegant, unique, and thoughtfully curated. I never felt overwhelmed, just excited to try things on. The shop itself is in the cutest location, which added such a charming and fun touch to the whole experience. Another huge plus was the in-house alterations. It made everything so convenient and gave me so much peace of mind knowing that the same wonderful team would be handling every detail from start to finish. The alterations were done flawlessly, and my dress fit like it was made for me. What really stood out the most was the staff. They were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the process feel personal and special rather than transactional. I always looked forward to my appointments because I knew I'd leave with a smile on my face. If you're looking for not just a dress, but an incredible experience leading up to your big day, I can't recommend this shop enough. They made the entire process so joyful and memorable, and I ended up with a dress I truly love. Brides-to-be, this is the place to go! read more

Highly recommend Illusion Bridal Shop to any brides looking for a wedding dress and expert tailoring -- especially my fellow plus-size brides! I was nervous about finding a dress that would flatter my body and working with someone who truly understands how to dress different body types without any judgment or shame. Illusion Bridal exceeded all my expectations. They provided a body-positive, uplifting, and incredibly supportive environment where I was able to find and tailor the dress of my dreams. I have never felt more snatched, beautiful, and confident than I did on my wedding day -- and I owe so much of that to Illusion Bridal. A special thank you to the amazing seamstress who made herself available whenever I had a question or concern about the fit. She was not only talented but also genuinely kind and encouraging throughout the entire tailoring process. I've never worked with a seamstress who made me feel so comfortable in my body -- it was truly refreshing and empowering. One thing to note for brides shopping on a stricter budget: my dress budget was $1,500, and while the options were a bit more limited at that price point, I was still able to try on beautiful, high-quality dresses and find one that made me feel incredible. Thank you, Illusion Bridal, for helping me look and feel my absolute best on one of the most important days of my life! read more

I called looking for a very specific dress, with a very specific vision in a very small time frame. Lulu, the owner happened to answer the phone. She was so knowledgeable and moved mountains to get me in that same day even though they were booked solid. I drove from South OC-it was well worth the drive. The dress I was looking for happened to be in stock. Not all boutiques carry it or had availability, Upon arriving, she and the stylist were on it and had it ready to go. Ironically, we found an even better dress for an even better price! I can't rave enough at how great of an experience it was. They are super honest, very knowledgeable, thorough yet quick (in a great way). Alterations are done in house. They will create whatever you want and better than you imagined. I highly recommend coming here no matter where you're coming from. read more

Listen, I wasn't even the one looking for the wedding gown and I had a great experience! Cute little shop in uptown with a solid selection of dresses. The lady helping us - I don't know her name but she's the one that models the dresses on social media - was such a delight! She was so friendly, helpful, and patient, and wore this amazing smile the whole time. If I liked women, I'd crush on her, she's that awesome. They have room for two brides and their parties to try on dresses and model and they will go all out with providing you with the pictures and details you need to make the choice you want. My friend said yes to the dress here! read more

Not sure how this place has such great reviews. The place was very nice I will give them that and the ladies that greeted us walking in were nice too. The issue was with the stylist and maybe we just got a bad one.. the biggest complain was she wasn't listening at all! Kinda funny because she made a comment stating " some people shouldn't be stylists" lol yeah she definitely fit that.. Very "I know what's best for you vibes " we showed her pics of what she had tried on else where that she liked. But she was not listening ‍ she also didn't assist my sister with putting on the dress, so I got up and tried too then I was told I wasn't able to help or touch the dress. So I responded with "Every where else we've gone they have assisted" she still didn't help but stood outside of the room. The vibe was off from the very beginning, she tried on 3 dresses which were ugly and not her size and definitely not what she was looking for. I don't remember her name but I'm glad that we had had an amazing appointment the day before elsewhere so we knew it was just bad customer service and that was not the place for us and again maybe we just got a bad stylist. Not sure but most definitely won't be going back. The area in Whittier was nice though, we shook off the disappointed feeling by having lunch and drinks at Kalaberas which was 5 stars .. lol read more

My experience here at Illusion Bridal went well. I enjoyed how I was able to bring my bridesmaids & mom to witness my "yes to the dress". I've noticed Illusion Bridal was the go to spot for a wedding dress & tbh I wasn't happy with the limited options they had with what I had in mind. I was specifically looking for a slit dress & they only had one! I tried on different dresses just to see if I may like any but I was drawn back to the slit dress but was not overall "ecstatic" about it. I still found the dress pretty but wish they had more options as I thought they would. The customer service was great, they did not pressure me to purchase a dress on the spot which I liked (most do). read more

Nina the stylist was AMAZING, friendly, patient and listened and saw what my vision was for THEE wedding dress. This shop offered a pleasant experience from check in to check out and buying my dress. Having in house alterations, accessories and veils also was an added bonus. A great one stop shop. I flew in from out of state for my appointment and am SO happy I did. Found my dress and met great staff at Illusion Bridal. 10/10 recommend and suggest to all my future brides. read more

I was the bride who just couldn't say yes to the dress - it took me 5 locations and 30+ dresses, but when I stepped into Illusion Bridal I just knew. Julia was my consultant and because I was keeping my dress a secret from my friends, she was the bestie I didn't know I needed to help me say yes! I told her exactly what I was looking for and she pulled all that, and then she pulled one more dress that wasn't what I asked for and it's just like she really knew, because it was THE YES DRESS My entire experience at Illusion was better than an other boutique and I wouldn't have wanted to say yes anywhere else. From trying the dress on, to it arriving in the shop, to alterations, all of my experiences there were amazing. I'll be taking my dress soon for preservation and I can't wait to go back there just one last time read more

My daughter purchased a wedding dress from Illusion Bridal. The dresses were beautiful and the service was nice. The dress was delivered to the store in June and the alterations were completed a couple of weeks before the wedding in August. My only concern was with the communication of the alteration fees. We were originally quoted a much lower price for the alterations we requested. We were then asked to return a couple more times to complete alterations. We were never advised that the alteration fees would increase. When it was time to pick up the dress they charged us about $1000 for the alterations. My recommendation would be to include the alteration fees in writing so that everyone is on the same page and there are no misunderstandings at the end. Other than that the service was good. read more

Julia was the best stylist! She listened to everything I wanted and helped me find the perfect dress. I think I tried on 7-8 dresses before finding the one and she helped the whole way. I will say that you are the one to initially put on the dress yourself, and the stylist will zip up/pin the dress for you (at least, that's what Julia did for me). Overall the experience was everything and more. I also love how they offer a mini bottle of Prosecco if you buy a dress! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for their wedding dress if you're local to Whittier! read more

I absolutely LOOOOVED everything about my experience at Illusion Bridal. Julia and Lourdes are so wonderful and sweet, they make you feel so special. This was the 3rd bridal shop I went to, and I could tell right away they were going to take good care of me. I came in with ideas of what I wanted (that I ended up not liking) they took their time and pulled so many dresses for me and got a real idea of what I like and what looked good on me. They pulled something I probably wouldn't have picked for myself but it was GORGEOUS! I cried the minute I saw myself in the mirror and knew it was the one. I really appreciated how wonderful and nice they were helping me find my dress. I also had my alterations done here and the dress came out amazing!! It hugged me so perfectly, everyone commented that my dress was truly made for me. Every time I came in for a fitting Julia and Lourdes took such good care of me and we just wonderful and so so nice! After the first dress I fell in love and then she pulled 2 more and all 3 were top choices! But made my decision and picked the dress of my dreams! Where do I start?! First and foremost I found the dress I envisioned. So I'm super excited to where my dress down that aisle. Secondly, Julia made this experience so easy, so memorable and most importantly so special. She took the time to hear what I had envisioned for my wedding. She pulled a couple dresses that were just beautiful. And im happy to say that I found the one! The cherry on top was that the price was way less than I expected to spend. The great services did not stop there, I was fitted and measured in the same location. The seamstress, which was such a kind and patient person helped me through the entire alteration process. She was honest about my sizing and worked with my big breast! Needless to say I look classy yet sexy with my dress! She went above and beyond! She even altered my rehearsal dress and my boys suit all for a reasonable and doable price! I am so excited to share the picture next week with the Illusion team. They have made me one happy bride!‍ If you're looking for that special experience with you and your bridal party, book this shop. You will not be disappointed! read more

My goodness, where do I begin with this review. First off, just pick your dress here. Send all your friends and family here. My WIFE (omg! I can say that now) came across this little boutique while in Whittier and she told me about it. The timeline was cutting close and I hadn't found any bridal boutiques to go to so my wife made an appointment for me to try some dresses on. I called a few different bridal stores and some didn't have appointments or their dresses started at minimum 5k..absolutely not in my budget, however, Illusional Bridal was starting at 1k...ooOkay, now we're talking. I came in with my sister and Julia, the absolute queen, helped me out. I told her my style and she picked out some dresses for me to try on. Julia was absolutely so sweet and helpful and I did not feel pressured one bit to pick something I didn't like. After trying on about 3-4 dresses, I picked the dress I absolutely knew would be the one. Julia placed the order for me and rushed it since my wedding was literally 3 months away. Julia also helped me find the perfect veil. Literally my dream veil. My dress arrived in store within a few weeks and Julia and her mom, Lulu, helped me get fitted. Lulu is literally the cutest and she fixed up my dress in a matter of two fittings..It fit perfect too! Come wedding day, my wife's goodies were looking amazing in THAT dress and I looked cute too lol. My wife and I planned our wedding in 6 months and we paid for EVERYTHING so this place really fit the budget. I recommend anyone reading this review to ditch David's Bridal and call up Illusion Bridal! read more

I highly recommend them for all your wedding dress needs! Julia and Lourdes were absolutely amazing! They knew exactly what I wanted before I was able to decide. I can ramble on and on about how much I enjoyed their services, dress selection, veils, fittings and phone calls. They are extremely professional with a wide selection of dresses of all styles. Selecting the dress: When picking my dress Julia was a sweet heart! Her first selection was the dress in which I went with and I was beyond amazed! She has an eye of choosing the wedding dress of your dreams just by a small description of your vision. She was patient and a great hype woman! I also ordered my wedding veil from here and I was not disappointed! Everyone loved everything about the dress, sleeves, and veil. Alterations: I wanted customized sleeves and Lourdes made that happen from scratch. She talked me through every step of the way and was straight forward with what could be possible. She valued my ideas and worked through them, with me. I was also loosing weight fast and she was able to alter the dress perfectly to fit my body shape as well as steaming the dress before the big day. My wedding dress and sleeves came out better than I could've imagined it! read more
