If I could give 10 stars, I would! From the moment I walked in, with 3 girlfriends, Carla and Andrea were amazing! I was overwhelmed and nervous and got emotional. Then I was embarrassed. My dress buying experience at Ann's Classic Affair's was great. They were kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Which was all expected based on all of the great reviews. Now, I was skeptical of getting my dress altered here, as there weren't any reviews for alterations specifically. After lots of consideration I ended up having Ann's alter it and it turned out amazing! My dress was not an easy dress to alter as it had lots of lace detail and appliqués that needed to be moved for it to be done correctly. Your first walk in to their store and feel like you have walked in to a little piece of heaven with all the gorgeous gowns. I felt a little nervous because not only is this wedding number two for me, but I also am not a tiny size 2 so I was scared to at nothing would fit and nothing would look good. I really wish that I could give Ann's Classic Affairs a better review, but I left this shop with a lot to be desired. I will say that there is a good amount of dress selections and they are all beautiful. I also liked that the pedestal and mirrors are near the back, so plenty of privacy from the parking lot. There was a younger girl who helped me dress and walk out and an older woman (possibly the manager?) who helped on and off. There was some very obvious tension between the two the entire time that I was trying on dresses and some under the breath bickering. The older woman seemed very annoyed with the girl and the girl didn't smile once the entire 1.5 hours that I was there. There was no feeling of warmth or comfort and I honestly felt a little out of place and uncomfortable most of the time. My biggest turn off was how sales-y the entire experience was. I would barely get out that I liked a dress and I would be asked if I was ready to make the decision and purchase. I'm sure the sales tactics work on some, but they have always pushed me far away. Overall, it was fun to try on dresses, but as this had been my first time doing so, it was a disappointing and lackluster first time. I really think they need to work on their customer service and friendliness. read more

The Bridal Boutique itself was great aside from misleading me to their seamstress which landed me in a tragic situation of a butchered dress. I guess I assumed they would be the best of the best so unfortunately I entrusted my $1500 with their seamstress. This is a learning experience for me as a first time bride and I am only posting this to help save future brides from the same mistake that I made. Moral of the story is don't blindly trust any seamstress - even in a bridal boutique - without reviewing their work. Anna - if you are too busy or cannot do what is asked, please say so. But honestly, I just learned to use my sewing machine and I do not know how you do this for payment. Youtube is a wealth of knowledge and maybe try to practice on less expensive and less time sensitive garments that are PREFERRABLY your own. Before I get into it - There will be pictures to show what I mean. Please note: Actual wedding day photos are AFTER my MIL and GIL worked super hard to save the dress but did not have time to replace the ridiculous sleeve fabric. 1. The sleeves should have been lined with a fabric that MATCHED the dress. It was pinkish and the original material was cream toned. You said you didn't have enough from the dress itself but Joann's fabric is not far away. Don't just use something that's lying around. the color mismatch wasn't caught in the boutique because of the lighting but was painfully obvious at home and in my WEDDING PICTURES. Pink toned, not opaque enough sleeves. UGH. 2. The sleeves... where do I start? The lace should have then been tacked to the sleeve so it doesn't wrinkle about like a cheap costume! Why would you leave the sleeve to move around freely and bunch up under the lace? 3. The sleeves were uneven att he armpits and the length, they bunched in my armpits, I couldn't move my arms and after all that you say you can't make the bottom of the sleeve more slender because I won't be able to move my arms. (I already couldnt but it looked cheap having a loose, wrinkly sleeve!!!!) 4. When I asked you to cut out the crinoline, you need to tack down the bodice fabric so it doesn't ride up. You could see my skin tone through it and the frayed/butchered fabric was irritating to the skin. Very Amateur. 5. Since the crinoline was made detachable it should not have to wrap around me twice to tie in a ridiculous bulky knot at my navel which could be seen color wise and as a bulge under the fabric of the dress! After trying on my dress at the boutique and noticing some of these concerning things I simply could not leave the dress in your care any longer because I feared it would be butchered more if I complained and what I expected was clearly out of your skill set so I signed the document and left on the verge of panic. On a positive note - I got to bond with my future mother in law and grandmother in law while I tried not to freak out/cry and they tried to save my dress two weeks before the wedding. read more

We had been in the throws of dealing with a death in the family and I didn't think to get his tux ordered for Junior Prom, but she made it happen with only a few day's notice. When he went to try on a sample size, I expressed that I had been trying to get him to get his hair cut his hair for the event to look more cleaned up, but he wouldn't budge. The cutest little shop ever. I used their steaming service for a wedding dress and a flower girls dress. I received a call that there was a tear in the flower girls dress but Ann fixed it beautifully. I was nervous since the dress was satin and I heard horror stories about steaming a dress and it turning yellow. But Ann confidently said, the dress I steam do not yellow!! This place saved the day!! I ordered a wedding dress online from China because I loved the style and it was cost efficient. Not a great idea.
