Rented a suit from this location. I had the initial fitting done and found the suit I (thought) I would get for a wedding. When it was time for final fitting, I was given the wrong size pants and wrong leg width. The replacement I was given was not the right color/style. I was then told to come back to pick up the right one. I finally was able to come pick it up while scrambling for family and wedding details. I could not do another final fitting and also thought they would have gotten it right by then. On wedding day, I realized I was given the wrong pants since they were very tight on the legs. I had no choice but to wear it since I was out of time. I told the staff as I returned the suit, but she just had a grin on her face as she "apologized". I get some people smile when they get put in awkward situations, but don't act like I did not pay for the rental or did not make an effort in the beginning stages or the rental to have the issue fixed. I did not want a refund, I just wanted staff to actually think about what they could do to improve next time. Since I was given that reaction, there will be no next time. The wedding was not a great experience being uncomfortable and not feeling like I looked good. read more

We had a really smooth experience with Friar Tux from start to finish. The process was easy and organized. Soon after we walked in, a young lady checked us in, took my son's information, and immediately paired us with a tailor. While we waited for the fitting, we talked about the fit my son wanted. He chose something in the middle -- not too tapered, but not too baggy either. A staff member also helped us look through different suit options and explained that the tie and faux pocket square could be changed at the final fitting, which was two days before prom. That ended up working out perfectly because his prom date decided to wear gold jewelry, so they were able to switch his accessories from black to gold at the last minute. The cashier explained the entire rental and return process clearly, which made everything feel very simple and stress-free. She provided a receipt with all the instructions so that my son and I clearly understood the rental process. Overall, the experience was smooth, professional, and easy to navigate. Upon picking up the suit, it was clean and tucked into a garment bag for safekeeping. The shoes appeared shined and ready to wear. I think the rates for rental is likely about the norm for the area. Closer to Riverside or Moreno Valley you could probably get a deal for under $200. However, they did offer a 25% discount for prom for schools in the area. The only thing I wish we had spent more time on was making sure he could comfortably move around in the suit before the event. The fit looked great, but it was pretty fitted and the neck ended up feeling tighter and more uncomfortable than expected. read more

Absolutely horrible experience with Friar tux in Temecula, so unprofessional I had ordered my suit in January 20 25 and went to pick up for my wedding in October 2025. I did not receive my tuxedo until the day before my wedding after my rehearsal dinner. This caused so much unnecessary stress before the wedding. They told me I would be able to rent the tux for free due to a promotion for having a certain amount of Groomsmen. All of my groomsmen had tuxedos and they said since it wasn't available, I either had to buy the tuxedo that I wanted or I could rent a suit for free so the groom would be in a suit while the groomsmen are in tuxedos. How dumb is that? I will never recommend this place to my worst enemies. If you have a chance to read this and are thinking with going with Friar go to Men's Wearhouse or anywhere else for that matter! Ultimately, I had to pay for a tuxedo that was supposed to be rented for free. I'm a size 34 in pants and they gave me a 38 that I had to get tailored the day before. If you need tailoring on quick notice like I did go to Vega's tailoring they got it done on short notice and had me looking my best on my wedding. but if you want to avoid all of that, just don't go with Friar. Friar Tux is where you go for quality and good customer service and they didn't disappoint. We thought the tux would be at grossmont but was sent to Temecula where the wedding was being held. No worries. The gentleman at the Grossmont location gave us all of the details and confirmation number. We arrived a couple of hours before the wedding for pickup. There were a couple of men ahead of us. They were helped quickly but efficiently and then it was our turn. The store manager and his staff were awesome! Came here because my husband needed to get fitted for his brothers wedding. Beware that this place gets very packed during the weekends especially when it's Prom and wedding season. We came on a Saturday and the wait was about an hour or so or longer. We decide to make an appointment for the following day. When we arrived on Sunday morning it was again very packed. And keep in mind that even though you have an appointment they won't see you until someone is free. Since there were people already there we didn't get seen until 30 mins or so after our appointment time. I honestly think like what's the point of making an appointment if they still make you wait. Once my husband was fitted everything went well and smoothly. Not sure if prices went up during covid but I thought this place was more pricey to rent. He was renting pants, shirt, and jacket and it was almost $200. Luckily he got a discount and Yelpers check in for that 20% off code. When we got married in 2017 we were able to have our party rent shirt, pants, jacket, tie and shoes for under $200 at other place. Just a thought but haven't compared prices since. This was my first experience with Friar Tux and from my first call to just now, when I dropped off my rental, it's been a true pleasure. My first visit, I was greeted and shown the different suits that were for rent. From there, they did measurements and in a little over 12 hours (maybe even less) I was notified that my suit was ready to be picked up. I did a test fit the next day. The measurements were spot on. We had an appt for tux fittings for my Husband and Son and due to getting held up at work we were running 30 min late so I called ahead of time to ask if it was ok that we got there at 11:30 instead of our 11am appt and she assured me that would "actually work out great". We get there right at 11:30 and she said it's gonna be a while because she just got a walk in. The walk in literally got there 3 min before us and they were still browsing not even knowing what they wanted and she was extremely rude to me saying there is nothing she can do. We had this appt for 3 weeks and I courtesy called her that we were running late and even asked if we can still be fitted at 11:30 and she said absolutely! We wouldn't have come if she told us that walk ins will get priority. We walked out. I won't give business to places who are rude and lie. My son went with the Black Peak Lapel Tail Tuxedo for a Great Gatsby themed Homecoming. He's getting great use of it through a performance during their Homecoming Rally and Halftime Football game show. Probably the only time I'll ever see him in a tuxedo with tails. He looked amazing! I was shopping for a Tuxedo rental for my boyfriend who is out of town, though he had given me all his measurements. Logan was extremely helpful in educating me on menswear. He explained the difference between a tux and a suit, explained how they do measurements for sizing, and even gave me a live tutorial on how to use cuffs and studs. We are a military family and went to friar tux to have the boys and men in the wedding party fitted for their tux's. I was pleasantly surprised and the knowledge and care that the staff took even with the kids. My twins are 9 and were kinda nervous about the whole process, the young man helping us joked and put my littles at ease. We were there for a good chunk of time and it didn't feel like we were there as long as we actually were. Since it's a military wedding, the groom is out of state but taking care of the costs since it's a rushed wedding. The manager was able to help us quickly in getting it all taken care of for easy pay. Definitely will be going back for any dressy event in the future we have. read more

My sons tux didn't fit correctly. Arms of shirt were too short, neck button couldn't button. Suit jacket was so tight he couldn't fold his arms in front of him. Hem in his pants ripped loose when he put the pants on. This tux was for his senior prom. He ended up wearing my husbands button up under the tight jacket and I sewed the hem back up. I called and complained and the young man who answered told me the suit should be very fitted. I told him he couldn't button the neck. We went round and round. I'm typing this as I am still waiting to even be acknowledged that I'm even here, after almost 3 hours of standing in the store, watching 3 wedding party's and 5 highschool students and couples get prom suits, and an older couple get seen and fitted, all while I have been standing here. Even as I've been typing this out, they continue to help other walk-in customers. I came here to get a tailored suit for my wedding, have not been acknowledged, and this is pretty sad for being a first time customer, so unless you can afford to throw a whole day away, standing in the lobby waiting to be helped, take your business somewhere else. I can't even give an opinion of the suits because I haven't even been fitted or measured yet. If I could give a lower rating than one star, I would, and I never review things because that's not who I am, but this was a terrible experience overall so far with this busines.
