My experience with John at Zeglio Custom Clothiers was completely different. From the very beginning, John demonstrated an attention to detail that set him apart. Rather than relying heavily on software or generalized measurements that are later interpreted by a third party, John personally took extensive measurements and carefully guided me through fabric and design selections. It was immediately clear that he understood how a suit should fit and how to translate those measurements into a finished product. The process was exactly as promised: one appointment for measurements and fabric selection, a second appointment for the fitting once the canvas was created, and a third appointment for the final try-on and pickup. Remarkably, everything fit correctly. No endless rounds of alterations. No surprises. No compromises. What impressed me most was how much confidence John had in his process, and rightly so. He even encouraged me to come back within six months for complimentary adjustments if my weight changed. As it turned out, I did lose weight and took him up on the offer. The follow-through and customer service were every bit as impressive as the tailoring itself. The suit feels special. Stated it would take 4 weeks to make my pants, vest and shirt. Took over 3 months and didn't get anything until the week of our wedding, when we had to pay a rush fee to another seamstress to attempt to fix the damage, blood & ink stains from my fiance's dress. The dress was not able to fixed - we salvaged what we could. Wait if you need slacks .. if you like pockets that go all the way down to your knees & a seat area that looks like you're wearing a diaper, you should totally use him. Maybe that's a style I don't know about. Shows no compassion or concern. Kept asking us if we could wait until the Thursday before our Saturday wedding to come by for a fitting. Literally kept changing fitting dates. Even when we said no to him, he set a fitting date for the Monday before and then cancelled it. He asked my fiance to drive to downtown Los Angeles from Joshua Tree, only to show up and find the "master tailor" stank of alcohol and told her to go get a drink at 8 am while he worked on her dress (we pulled the dress and then went to someone else - paying the rush fee). He acts as if he is doing you a favor and you should be thankful for him even making time for you - or changing dates - or not doing his job. Never once apologized. He may have been someone in the 80's - now he is just plain bad at his job.
