5 STARS!! If I could give her more stars I would! I took my $3000 (valued) wedding dress to Mari and it was the best decision I ever made. There are a million things to stress about when you are planning a wedding but my wedding dress wasn't one of them. Thankfully, I owe that to MARI. Thank you to all the yelpers who recommended her. She is legit! The day I called, she made arrangements with me to meet and she checked in with me the day before our appointment to confirm. Our first appointment lasted about an hour or so as she carefully pinned the dress and made all the markings needed for the hem up. To my surprise she quoted me much better than the other 2 quotes I got for $500 and $800+. Fast forward about 1.5 months later, she finished the dress and I came for my first fitting, and boy was I impressed with how amazing of a job she did. She was so thoughtful and meticulous about every detail. It was nearly a perfect fit. She made any minor adjustments and fixes to the bead work that I requested (on the spot) since I bought an 'off the rack dress' some of the beads fell off. She was so patient and accommodating to my requests. She really cares about her customers and putting out her best work. She even took the time to listen & talk to me about my worries about the wedding and future in-laws while she made final touches to the dress. She has a heart of gold. The price was very reasonable and was told that she would have it done by the end of the week(a day before I needed it) Well, the next day she texted me back mentioning the dress was finished. Sure it was a small job, but I've dealt with many other places where the hem was crooked or too short while others who tried to push other alteration jobs just to get more money. I came to her a month before the wedding I'm in with my bridesmaid dress I was in love with, but sadly the zipper only went up half way. She was nice but made a few remarks that weren't very customer service friendly. I tried asking her how long it would take to work on my dress and she said only a few days and that we had a lot of time. Never gave me a time frame as to how late is too late for her. She told me she would be able to make the dress fit by making a corset in the back but she needed me to find the extra fabric. I was able to contact the company I bought the dress from and paid for them to send me extra fabric so it would match my dress exactly. After going through all that and finally receiving the fabric, I texted her and she said "ugh that's cutting it short!" and "I hope they sent you enough fabric" I found that very rude, especially since I confirmed with her how much fabric I would need and I bought more than what she suggested! I've worked in customer service for 10 years now and I would never say that to someone and have that kind of attitude. Another odd comment she made when looking at my dress was "You can't return it?" If I'm seeking help for the dress, obviously I can't, nor did I want to. I was very hopeful and excited she would be able to help me, but disappointed that now I really am cutting it short with this alteration since the wedding is in two weeks. Mari is absolutely wonderful. I recently bought a dress that I absolutely loved, but after the first wear the zipper broke. I called Mari and asked her how much it would be to fix the zipper or change the back to a corset. She said the zipper change would be $15. Corset back would be $30. I brought her the dress and after evaluating it together we decided the corset back would be best. She had an emergency and had to leave. She said the dress would be done in a few days. I was completely surprised when it was finished in 2 days. The dress is amazing. The corset back was perfect. I can easily get in and out of the dress. I needed a coat's sleeves lengthened and took it to Mari who I found on yelp with great reviews. She was nice and responded quickly to my emails. I took the coat to her and she had it read for pick up really quickly which was great. Unfortunately the greatness ended there, I picked up the coat and headed to work. When I inspected it, I noticed the cuffs were uneven, the stitching was loose with gaps throughout and the material that she used on the inside of the sleeve was not coat lining material. It kind of looked like gauze. I was disappointed because this coat is a gift for my wife and now I can't give it to her until I have it professionally fixed.
