    China Fortune
    Andy W.

Very good fried chicken sandwiches. They serve only thighs, so the meat is tender and juicy. There are many varieties: Classic, which is lettuce, tomato, and mayo. We also had the China Fortune with asian coleslaw, and general Tso's sauce. Sandwiches are great, but very expensive for a sandwich on essentially a burger bun. If they were $10 I would buy them again, but at almost $14 each, I would look elsewhere.

Best chicken sandwich in Maine, possibly New England!! A tiny spot, that you might miss if you're not looking for it. Greeted with warmth as we walked in, this was a true gem. I had the Pimento Chicken Sandwich and it was a taste of the Deep South. Check out their hot sauce wall to spice up your Sammies. Will be back soon!!

The place itself is cute. Clean, friendly staff, and everyone seemed to be happy to be there. This was my first time eating there and definitely not my last. Although the "Nashville Hot" was disappointing (keep in mind I'm a southerner and love spicy) because it was not spicy at all, the chicken itself was pretty good. Luckily they have a hot sauce shelf and was able to add a little heat myself. We also ordered the gyro tots and they were delicious. All and all it was a good place to eat and I give it five stars. The thickness of the chicken patties was very impressive. **plan on spending some $$. Definitely not complaining because that's just how things are now days.. we got the tots, two sandwiches and two bottled sodas for $60***

I am obsessed with this place. It has the interior design of a Wendy's and the flavor profile of Primo. Their fried chicken that is so delicious that one requires total silence while you eat it so you can focus on each bite. I want to try every sandwich on the menu, and I'm not even that adventurous, but I just trust Honeys Chicken so deeply with my dinning experience. My favorite so far is the China Fortune, it literally changed my life. I said "wow" out loud, alone. It's fast, unpretentious, everyone is nice, cool drink selection. The midcoast is so lucky to have you, please never close or change.

Whole in the wall kinda of place until you walk in!! You have to find it between the cannabis stores but you are rewarded greatly when you find it!!! Everything inside is nice and super clean and they do a huge carry out business but have lots of room to set and eat!!! Definitely best fast food style chicken sandwich I e had in Maine can't wait to come back!! Everybody was super nice and helpful with menu choices!! This is a must lunch or dinner stop if you're in the area or even worth a trip up from Portland to try it out!!

Massive sandwich with crinkle cut fries.

Great chicken sandwich. Best fried chicken around for probably 30-40 miles. Wonderful little restaurant. Go, you'll love it.

What an amazing fried chicken sandwich. The flavor and the additional sauces are good but no need due to the flavor on the chicken.

The staff is all super friendly. It gets very busy so I recommend going early, especially during the warmer weather months. We ended up waiting for about 15 minutes, but it was so worth it. Biscuits are a must in whatever form you get them in. I ordered the Breakfast Biscuit and it was exactly what I want in a breakfast sandwich. The biscuit was well made and didn't fall apart easily, the egg fluffy, the cheese not overwhelming, and a signature touch of red pepper jelly. Plus it comes with potatoes! What a dream. My partner isn't much of an egg guy, but was really happy with his granola bowl. It was very fresh and he appreciated that he could have it made with oat milk. We also split the fried green tomatoes to start and they were fantastic. I don't associate that dish with such a northern state, but they were fresh and not greasy and the Alabama ranch was nice and tangy. I'd love to come back another time for another biscuit and to try their lunch; I'm sure their haddock is dynamite.

It's mostly a convenience store and gas station stocked full of all kinds of junk food, pastries, milk, breads and some unique Maine types of weird things. But over on the side of the store is a small grill that manages to produce a whole range of different things. All kinds of cool breakfast stuff, some traditional like several varieties on bacon and egg and toast and other rather uncommon things like breakfast burritos and even something call breakfast pizza. They also have some absolutely gigantic freshly baked cinnamon rolls that smell fantastic and of course the ubiquitous Maine blueberry pancakes. But there is a lot more here than just breakfast. All kinds of pizzas are served throughout the day as well as various sandwiches, fried chicken, burger type things and sea bugs like shrimp, scallops and of course some great lobster rolls. In fact they even have live lobsters and crabs that they will cook for you or you can take them home and kill them yourself. Just an amazing amount of different foods prepared so many different ways. You or course can fill up with gas for your vehicle or get caught up on the latest local gossip too. Not a whole lot of stores around here so they make the best of what they have. A very cool and old fashion type of do everything store. The type that makes Maine such a cool place.

First off we had a reservation for 7:30 and we didn't get seated till 7:50 and had to wait awkwardly in a small entry space. Then we were seated and it took a while for our server to get our drinks. We got the octopus appetizer and it was just okay, nothing special. We got our entrees and they were very good portion sizes which I like especially for the price. I got the swordfish which was very tasty but still not mind blowing. We got a dessert and they did our happy birthday on it for her but that was it. Even though we did tell the server it was her birthday. Overall I was just expecting more from this place, especially with the price point and it fell short.
