Looking for a relatively healthy meal, I ordered the Create Your Own noodle bowl and decided to also try the apple pie honey bar dessert since life is about balance lol. My bowl included egg white noodles, grilled chicken, cabbage, snow peas, mushrooms, broccoli, and sesame garlic sauce. Overall, my stirfry was good, but could've used a little more sauce. The chicken was very bland, but if you paired it with the other items, it was pretty tasty. I typically want something a little sweet after my savory meal, so I ordered the apple pie dessert. I added mini vanilla wafers just for my own personal touch. The streusel topping is a little crunchy, buttery, and sweet. The combination of the sweet, buttery, and apple flavors were delicious. read more

First time visitor and I had no idea what to expect. Despite the ordering process being kiosks where you order your own food there was a super friendly male behind the counter willing to help and answer any questions! My husband and I both did a "build your own" bowl option. Food was delicious!!! Place was super clean, including the restrooms. Definitely will be back. read more

DELICIOUS FOOD! It reminds me of Balance Pan Asian Grille, only better! The kiosks inside made it easy to order and take time to decide if needed. We both created our own stir fry and tried the OG Cheesecake Honeybar. The cheesecake filling/dessert was such a delicious treat and a good size to share with someone without feeling guilty afterwards! The stir fry was flavorful, had tons of customizations and choices of protein, veggies, garnishes, dressing/sauce drizzles, and bases for your bowl. It's a bit expensive, but with the size of the meal and the healthy options - it's worth it. read more

With guests coming for dinner and all of us looking forward to fare from our favorite local Chinese takeout, I go online to order and discover there are closed on Tuesdays which is today. Plan B leads me to read reviews from other local Chinese restaurants. The reviews raise red flags so I recall the new restaurant, Honeygrow in Avon Lake, OH that appeared on the local cuisine scene in the last year or so. We all like stir fries so we decide to give it a try and order the Sesame Garlic bowl with wheat noodles, "roasted steak" and some vegetables. and the "Garlic Butter Shrimp" with wheat noodles, shrimp and vegetables. Reasonably priced at about $13.50 plus tax and tip, I place the order anticipating some roasted steak, juicy plump shrimp, fresh vegetables and homemade wheat noodles covered in a garlic sauce. Tasty sounding! The 'buds are salivating at the very thought of a mouthful. Well, to be honest they weren't bad, but they weren't what I hoped for either. There may have been a hint of garlic in each sauce which otherwise was basically tasteless although one was more buttery than the other. As for the roast steak promise, didn't happen. It was merely a very stingily small portion thinly sliced roast beef overcooked, tasteless and dumped into the mix. I will not be buying that dish again. As for the shrimp dish, there was a scattering of the smallest salad sized shrimp garnishing the dish. Again, a stingy sized portion with another mostly tasteless dish which I won't buy again. I realize everyone has different tastes and expectations so I may be an outlier here. What I do know is that first impressions are important and this was a fail in my opinion. For what I spent I can think of a handful of places to dine in or take out in Avon Lake that I will regularly patronize before I return to Honeygrow. Sorry, I hope everyone else finds the fare more to their liking! Bon appetit! read more

We just moved to the area and was excited to try this place out a sadly were very disappointed. We both did the create your own stir fry with the steak, no additional add ons besides the ones they provide for free and it was almost $30 out the door. The size was extremely small and you can tell from the second photo, it wasn't even filled to the top. For being considered more a fast food restaurant with quick take out, it was expensive. You can spend $30 elsewhere and have leftovers for two people. Even with the small amount of food there was barely any protein and toppings, also barely any sauce so if this is suppose to be cooked in a wok, doesn't make sense why some noodles were hard with no sauce. Only reason I am giving it two stars is the food was still edible, just not worth the price. Also the workers didn't even acknowledge us so they were unhelpful. Will not be going back. read more

Had no idea what to expect, but the food is delicious! The salads and bowls are delicious! They do a lot of take out and we ate in and also did take out. The portions are generous, the food is fresh and love you can make your own selections of ingredients. read more

The stir fry was so spicy.. they put too many chili crisps ( they call it but I think it was red pepper flakes) They don't even ask. when ur eating she never asked how the food was so she did't get a tip. It was suppose to have mushrooms in there also if u could find them. And the portions are small. Our check for the 3 of us was 40.00 I didn't get a soda just had water. I will not be back! Not much sauce either! read more

We've been wanting to try this since it opened this location and today was finally the day. We did a quick online pickup order, and it was ready at the estimated time. I love that they are packed in Chinese takeout boxes. I did a create your own stir fry and it was delish. I love love love that they have tofu and other vegetarian friendly options like falafel. Definitely plan to add this to our fast casual rotation for days we don't feel like cooking read more

Busy, make sure you don't mind waiting. Clean which is important as we like to eat in. Friendly staff, remarked on us playing cards and how refreshing it was instead of ignoring each other for our phones. Food was a huge hit. Had dessert here too. Recently doing a small diet in phase eating healthy for a while and this place smashed. Would highly recommend as the flavors were spicy enough to keep me coming back read more

A reasonable value, would lean towards overpriced through. Our food was great, the strawberry guava lemonade was good as well. The reason this is a 3-star review is primarily because we waited 45 minutes to get our food after we ordered on one of the tablets (no-human interaction) at 5:00 on a Sunday. Especially upsetting when the receipt indicated a 15 minute wait. I'm not sure there was a clean table to sit at either, but when they're taking 3x as long as quoted to fulfill orders, I'm not expecting them to buss tables. read more

What an awesome new addition to Avon off Nagel Road! We came in at about 7 PM and it was hopping! Everyone is definitely excited to try this new place since it just opened recently! It is pretty loud so keep that in mind when eating here. We chose to eat outside because it was nice out. There were a ton of people working in the kitchen you wait in line and then you order on a screen and then they call your name. I love that you can personalize your ball to what you want. I chose to make a bowl with egg noodles and old base seasoning and chicken and veggies! It was delicious! read more

We were greeted by a nice man who showed us how to use the order screens. Food came out fast. Fully staffed. Good salads. A big negative for me is the music is insanely loud! Several people ate out side and others took there to go due to volume. I asked if the music could be lowered and he said corporate picks the volume. That is too bad because many would love to eat in but won't. read more

Sooo annoyed. I've wanted to try honey grow for a long time. FInally stopped and the staff were not happy we came in at 9:15pm. They were talking about leaving at 10:30 no matter what. I got into the car and by the time I checked my food... its wrong. my tofu is cold and I have no sauce. I ordered 3 sauces (extra) and chilis on the side. who orders stir fry with literally no sauce. it's disgusting. not good service and not good food. I should of went to chipotle with my husband and kids. won't be back. read more

Jessica (discovered she is the manager) greeted us with a very hospitable smile. Being first time diners here, she was very patient in us registering for rewards points and modifying our dishes. I had the Red Coconut Curry with added roasted chicken.I LOVED IT!!! Just the right balance of heat, sweet and spice. I likely could have downed another half portion. My wife had the OG Cobb salad hers came in a manhole sized bowl. She loved hers as well. Glad we are rewards members, "I'll be back" read more

Got takeout from here the other night with the family. My daughter just got plain noodles with steak & cheese. However when she was eating it, there was a piece of shrimp in it. She didn't really mind but my issue was cross contamination. If it had been my mother who is allergic to shellfish, it would have been a huge problem. Mind you, there were 6+ workers prepping & cooking, and we were the only ones in the building at that time. Makes me wonder how careful they are with not only cleanliness and attention to detail, but if they use the same tools to cook meat/fish, which may be a big issue to people with severe allergies. The food wasn't bad, but the portion isn't great for the price and it could have been a bit better. You can pay nearly the same for Chinese and get double if not triple the portion. But it was something different to try. My other issue is the kids meal prices. I don't mind paying the same amount for the same thing/ portion size, but do wish they offered lesser portions for lesser prices for kids. My daughter got plain noodles with steak and cheese but somehow hers cost $3 more than my husbands & I that were sauced noodles, steak, extra add in's, so that didn't make sense to me at all. Had it twice in Strongsville and it was a different experience so it may just be the new Avon location. Not sure if I would go back though given the cross contamination, and definitely would not feel good recommending to someone who may have allergies to certain foods. read more
